Bears are currently 6.5 dogs in Las Vegas. The line seems about right unless you watched MNF. The Raiders looked terrible with only 213 yards on offense, most coming on 2x TD drives (159 yds) in the 3rd quarter. For the other 3 quarters, nothing. They looked like the Bears playing the Browns. Their first 7 drives (the entire first half) consisted of the following: 3 and out, punt 3 and out, punt 3 and out, punt 4 and out, turnover on downs 6 plays, punt 3 and out, punt 2 plays, end of half 26 total yards in the first half, down 21-0 On their only first down in the first half, a 21 yard gain to Waller, Waller got a 15-yard penalty for taunting lol. …

If he wins out, especially showing that he can defeat the Packers at home...and especially if Rodgers plays.... He will be our QB for years to come. If not, it'll probalby come down to money. If he doesn't fleece us, he's still probably our QB. But if it is way too much money, we will probably look elsewhere. Whether is Josh & a pick, or a new guy potentially like Cousins. It' simply all on Jay. And I for one am rooting for him big time. I truly hope he delivers what we've all been hoping for. People keep gving McCown credit for seeing the light on being a good QB...let's give Jay more than one rusty game after injury to try to show the same. …

I read this on cnnsi and thought it interesting: I'm wondering why, on goal-line plays, coaches don't occasionally defend big receivers like Johnson with a big receiver from their own team? Doesn't somebody like Dez Bryant have a better chance of beating Johnson on a "jump ball" pass?'' Roy Williams cant do jack on O....maybe they could use him on D. Did anyone else have flashbacks of Jimmy Mac when Jay dove for the end zone from two yards out? We have a QB who is athletic and has a cannon, who can beat you multiple ways.

There was an interesting article on the Chicago Tribune website entitled Scout Talk: Senior Bowl winners and losers that talked about the players who played in the Senior Bowl and which ones may be on the rise and which ones are falling out of grace with some of the GMs & scouts. One player we have discussed quite a bit in other threads was the first mentioned: A good article mentioning many other players, well worth the read for draftniks.

Now I wont say we are a bad team but I want to point out this. We can NOT win games kicking field goal!!!!!! Once again we had too many opportunities in the red zone just to come away with just three points. Despite the other teams score....if we cashed in on our chances in the red zone I feel this 0-2 start we are now in would be 2-0. Now the other problem I see is that our DB are not being coached to win. We have gotten way to many pass interference calls to succeed. Ball and Fuller need to be taught how to turn and look for the ball. Against the Packers they could have had two ints and the same against the Cards. At first thought I would say absolutely. But then I started to think and the evidence might tell you a little something about Cutler. Take a look. Before Cutler came into the starting lineup in 2006, Brandon Marshall had 6 rec 76 yards 1 TD through 12 games. Throughout the final 4 games of the year when Cutler came in, Marshall had 14 rec 233 yards and 1 TD. Over the course of the next two years Marshall recorded 206 rec 2590 yards and 13 TD's. So who made who? Was it Cutler or Marshall? I think Cutler was the reason for Marshall's improvement. The hot stove is burning this afternoon with speculation Jordan Howard will be on the move. Today he removed his Bear related photos from his Instagram account which caused Twitter to explode with rumors. The rumor gaining steam was trading Howard and the 8th pick to the Giants for their 2nd overall pick. Are the Bears targeting Barkley, who seems to be a better fit for Nagys offense? Or are they going for Chubb who fits their biggest need as a pass rusher or Nelson who could solidify the line for a century. Maybe Pace wants the power to trade down when QB needy teams decides to give the farm for Darnold, Rosen, or Allen. This is a rich RB draft, so the Bears could fill…
