Watching the Giants in the SB knowing full well that we should have beat them in Soldier field. I will even go farther and say that if we beat them they don't make it to the playoffs. Thinking about that game there was one play that stood out - Devin dropping a beautiful pass from Rex when he had 10 yds on the defenders. He catches that pass, we win that game. AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Peace

  2. He's done great things for Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense has gotten better. Below is some stuff I dug up on Jackson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson - Has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL (2007 with the Falcons and 2003 with Redskins) - Prior to getting that position, he was the Bengals highly regarded Wide-Receiving Coach (who helped developed Ocho Cinco, Henry, and Houshyourmama). - Before the Bengals, he worked as an Oline coach and OC with the Redskins Seems like a pretty solid hire. My only concern would be how he kept OC positions for such a short period of time, but you could also argue that he never really got a shot. …

Thought this was a good summary of him. What I liked is how he worked as a UDA to make it. Then worked in personell and got some scouting perspective until moving into the coach ranks. Love the aggressive D and aggressive mind-set and the results have been very encouraging. Big question to me is how does he lead and does he have a big picture vision that is necessary to be a head coach.

Troy Polamalu on Madden 2010 Cover, gets hurt in first game of the season. Ouch. We play the Steelers in Week 2, and that is a huge loss for them if he is out (and a plus for us). EDIT: Steelers coach Mike Tomlin indicated after Thursday's game that SS Troy Polamalu was initially diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee. There's nothing "concrete" yet on Polamalu's injury, and Tomlin admitted that it could be more serious. Expect the All Pro to be sidelined for at least 3-6 weeks. - Rotoworld

Does anyone else here think its possible that we may try to somehow acquire first day picks from someone, saving our cap space for this year on first day rookie deals and the potential need to re-up Orton? It seems rather odd that we dont appear to be using any of the cap space, and I dont see anyone on the new contract list other than the potential for Orton to get one. Other guys who appear to be in last years of deals are Mark Anderson, Dusty, AP, Ogunleye and Daniel Manning. If it IS possible...or you think it could be...who could we move on draft day to get picks in the 1st 2nd or 3rd rounds? I personally cant think of anyone we could offload of value oth…

Per the Bears' website, Earl Bennett is changing his number from 85 to 80. Apparently he wanted to go back to his college number (10) but the NFL won't let you switch from an 80-89 number to a 10-19 number. Seems like a dumb rule to me. However, he's now got 80, Berrian's old number. The superstitious part of me thinks that could be a good thing. The article also lists the new rookies' numbers, and there are a couple of other familiar ones: Earl Bennett: 80 (Bernard Berrian) Al Afalava: 46 (Chris Harris, Doug Plank) Mike Rivera: 59 (Rosevelt Colvin, Ron Rivera) Derek Kinder: 83 (Willie Gault) D.J. Moore: 30 (Mike Brown) ...then again, Rashied Da…

Lovie said after the game that "it's very serious and not looking good". Great. Does this mean we have to draft another DT? Dvoracek is injured all the time and not that productive even when he's in. Harrison has been a pleasant surprise but Idonije is medicore. Harris is playing better, though. Adams is a solid player, as well.

Because some have mentioned releasing him, I had the thought, "What would the Bears get for him in trade?" I'm not sure I would do it, but if a team were willing to give a 1st and a 2nd, or something like that, I might do it as the Bears GM.

A whole lot of Jay Cutler’s ex-coaches are ripping him, anonymously http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...im-anonymously/ http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...with-jay-cutler Posted by Michael David Smith on March 4, 2015, 2:29 PM EST Jay Cutler AP Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has rubbed a lot of his coaches the wrong way during his time in Chicago, and now they’re ripping him in the media — but not putting their names behind their criticism. ESPN cites “at least 10 former Chicago Bears staffers from the Lovie Smith and Marc Trestman regimes” who say they don’t think the Bears can contend for a title with Cutler as the quarterback.…

Players go Plaxico with wide acclaimby Brad Biggs, The Chicago Sun-Times , Chicago Sun Times add this RSS blog email print Jerry Angelo's door remains open when it comes to adding a veteran wide receiver. Bears players would like to say ''come on in'' to Plaxico Burress. The general manager has not ruled out anything, and in an offseason like none the franchise has seen, everything is in play eight weeks before training camp. That includes Burress, the former New York Giants receiver who remains without a team while the NFL waits to see how his gun charge proceeds in New York courts. Burress could be the final piece in a vast reshaping of the roster over…
