Listening to ESPN radio Chicago a caller told Waddle and Silvy that he has a friend working security at HH and also Adam Schefter has tweeted that the Bears have interest in Weis.

Well, we're 2 pre-season games into the new season and we seem to have more questions than we may have initially thought... I also have noticed an abundance of "I told you so's" and "don't be negative's" flowing quite heavily. Heck, I'm personally guilty of both things to some degree! I was one of many who claimed that we shouldn't go so heavy after OL in the draft. While I thought we would make splashes in FA (Faneca), I was still sure the OL wouldn't be that much of an issue. From today's press conference it's clear Eberflus was not happy with the pass coverage last week (nobody was). Some of that is players not executing as per assignments or game plan. Some is the lack of pass rush. He was pretty clear today that we have to do a better job of mixing it up to get pressure. I'm expecting Sanborn and Morrow to play better this week. I just watched the Miami game again focusing on a few plays and during the course of the game you could see the run reads and filling the gaps improve. There are some pro's and con's with Shanny, as there are with every guy. Let me ask you guys this: Bowles or Shanny? Cant decide Toub or Shanny? Shanny Gase or Shanny? Shanny Quinn or Shanny? I could go either way on this one Kubiak or Shanny? I could go either way on this one There is a part of me that is intrigued by Bowles after reading up on him, but then I think about hiring a guy with actual HC experience and tend to lean that way. IMHO and i have said this ever since we have gotten Ron Turner that we lose because of the plays he call or doesn't call. Prime example we are in the RED ZONE three times and you never used OLSEN ..not one time on a mismatch. Better yet why not the 6'7 DAVIS. The run up the middle never got much so why not use the play action pass to Forte/McKie in the flat. Maybe the bootleg to Olsen instead of Clark.. PFT is reporting that since Nicks tweeked his hamstring at the combine he has been unable to workout and has gained around 15lbs. Besides not working out, he must be eating a bunch of twinkies as well. Otherwise, there is no way you gain that much weight in that short of time. Same article says he has already lost some of the weight and has a workout scheduled with the Bears and Fins.

With the Bears winning the NFC North, and coming in as the #2 seed into the playoffs with a bye, what would they have to do to deem this season as a success?

Johnny Knox, a 5th round pick rookie from a small school has 8 catches for 152 yards and 1 TD. Brandon Marshall has 7 catches for 61 yards and no scores. Eddie Royal has 5 catches for 38 yards and no scores. In Denver, w/ Cutler, Marshall and Royal were an elite WR combination. Royal was a rookie, but played beyond his years and experience while Marshall was seen as one of the top 5 WRs in the game. W/ Cutler, these two WRs are not even worth a flex start on a FF roster…

This hasn't been talked about, but does anyone think that we've seen the end of Pace. Shaffer came in against the 49ers because Pace got the "wind knocked out of him". I'm not buying that.

Man that HURT. What happened? 1. Our defense couldn't stop 3rd and longs. 2. Our OLine sucks when rushing (but are ok in pass protection). 3. We didn't use our TEs enough in the first half. 4. Not much pressure on defense, even when blitzing. 5. Special Teams coverage and the damn squib kick at the end.
