  3. With all of the debate on this board about Ja Marcus Webb's talent or lack thereof, Iam really puzzled why Chris Williams has been basically shown the door and not really given a solid chance to actually compete for the position he was drafted for and all signs point to Tice. With Chilo Rachal being given a shot at LG it is obvious that Williams has done something that has basically relegated him to playing his last games with the Bears. With his depature that will leave only 1 JA 1st rounder on the roster. Though that may be an indictment of the previous regime development of talent falls on the HC and staff. When there was some awkward comments in a press conference by L…

  6. Well this sucks.. Looks like he's going to be out a while if he's already having surgery now. Didn't see the play he injured it on but now with Carimi out for atleast the next couple weeks, it looks like its Edwin Williams or bust..

If the Bears are going to take a OL in the 1st I was wondering what type of Lineman do the people on this board want to get. Take in mind im figuring Ryan Clady and Long are gone before we pick. So the next highest rated prospects are: Chris Williams great foot work and technique excellent pass blocker can handle speed rushers very agile and athletic. or Jeff Otah monster of a man who is extremely strong and powerful knock you out your socks kinda a guy but raw with alot of upside. Basically are we going to be a pass crazy team or a "start running off the bus" type of team.

I keep hearing about him trying LT again. Personally, I think he has the tools to succeed, but hasn't had too much of a shot. Play pro's and con's, coming into his fourth year, he hasn't stayed too healthy. On the plus side, he's smart, has quick feet and pedigree. I want the Carimi to the left talk to stop. He is a prototypical right tackle. Plus, he makes a nasty companion to our nasty RG Louis. Just sayin', give the kid a shot. Make Webb the swing tackle and draft a nasty G and C. One to start, one to groom.

Admittedly I've never liked much of what Jones has done on the field. Despite having outstanding athleticism he seemed to have little ability to diagnose a play and get into the right position to stop it. Now just two weeks into this camp and here's Jone's being listed as one of the most improved players. If true he along with Kwiatkoski could give us excellent depth at ILB. Jones ability to run (and hopefully cover TEs) fits better as the backup to Trevathan while Kwit's skills fit better behind Freeman. I don't expect Trevathan to get many plays in preseason so we'll get plenty of opportunity to compare Kwit and Jones. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/chalk…

As an undrafted free agent, Jones finished third on the team with 68 tackles. He also had 2 sacks. I believe he has earned a starting position next year. Thoughts? Peace

Was reading a story in the Bleacher Report on "Top 10 undrafted free agents who could be a major contributor in 2014" and former FSU LB Christian Jones (now Chicago Bears) was mentioned. (Sorry can't post the link). According to some links in the story he was once a higher touted player but "failed a drug test at the combine" and dropped in stock as a result. Comparisons were of him to the Bills Manny Lawson. Anyone heard of him? I like what I see. Maybe an eventual starter in place of Greene or if SMC fails miserably at his conversion?

I got into a conversation with one of the tenants at the building I work at and he's a huge FSU fan(I know this because I've seen him wear a few FSU sweaters, today he was wearing a Bears hoody). He brought up Christian Jones. He said that hes capable of being a monster as an OLB in the 3-4. Talked about how physically gifted he was and said with the right coaching (which he thinks the Bears have now) we may not even need a OLB opposite of Young. I admittedly hadn't seen enough of him, and thought of him as an ILB, but he said no, you want him on the edge making plays and utilizing his athleticism. What do you guys think of him? You can see in the…

I want to say that I'm not a fan of Pagano. I think he's more conservative than Fangio, and Fangio was too conservative for my liking. Pagano goes into a damn prevent half way through the 3rd quarter with a lead. He makes easy wins too interesting. Look no further than the Dallas game for proof. I'm very disappointed in his first season as I was expecting a more aggressive DC than Fangio.
