  1. Started by jason,

I've seen rumors about LB being a secondary priority for the Chicago Bears recently, and I think it's borderline crazy. Way too many other needs. If the Bears do need a guy, however, because they're worried about Trevathan's injury, I think they need to find the next Kwiatkoski. They should look for: -ILB -Tackling machine -Unheralded by national media -Missing one or two "must have" physical traits Last year I was all aboard the Kwiatkoski express, and this year I am starting to really like another guy of the same mold. Ladies and Gents, I present to you: Blair Brown, LB, Ohio Watch this highlight and tell me you don't love him. I see a pl…

I do this topic each year. Here's my nightmare draft: 1. Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio St - With Fuller, Prince, Cooper, and LeBlanc, I don't think it's really a big problem. There are much bigger holes at S, T, and DE. And there are much better players available at two of those positions. 2. Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn - A tweener who has some eye-opening physical abilities and traits. I'll hate this pick, and any other tweener like him. 3. Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami - Lots of QBs go in 1st round, nothing happens in the 2nd, and the Bears make a nervous reach for a guy who won't be good. 4. Malachi Dupre, WR, LSU - WR with measurables but doesn't know how to use …

It seems rumors are now building that we're likely taking a DB at #3. That's an exceedingly easy rumor to throw out there given the talented options in Adams, Hooker, and Lattimore match very well with the Bears needs. Many draftniks in the media have had us taking Lattimore for the last couple weeks. I'd say Adams is 2nd most frequent selection but that's still close to number of folks who still have us drafting Jonathan Allen. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2703486...-draft-and-more Based on what I recall here's the history of the most popular players for our pick in order of most popular... January: Jabril Peppers/Allen February: Allen, Tr…

Chicago Bears Round 1 (3): Jamal Adams, S, LSU Round 2 (36): Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama Round 3 (67): Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson The Bears' secondary still needs a lot of work, but the good news for Chicago fans is that this draft is ripe with playmakers in the defensive backfield. Adams is the most complete DB in the class and one of the best safety prospects I've evaluated in recent years. He can cover the slot or patrol the deep half, and he's an elite run defender. I'm not as high on Humphrey as others, but he has a very high ceiling because of his size (6-foot, 197) and fluidity in coverage. Watkins is capable of developing into a three-down player i…

What if we signed Michael Floyd from the Patriots as a free agent to a low end contract at WR and draft Evan Engram as a TE. How much better would this make our offense?

  7. If ever there was a guy who is mentally prepared to handle a big media market it is Kizer. Very well spoken answered all questions with class and his answer about Brian Kelley's comments about him staying in school was"Its true I did have 2 more years and I do have room to grow and at 21 years old I am young". " Trying to be a starter in the league against guys like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers who have been pros since I've been playing football tells me I have room to grow". The last Notre Dame player I really wanted the Bears to draft was Chris Zorich who said he would pay to play for the Bears. I have been a Mahomes guy all along but, I liked how Kizer handled himself w…

I keep seeing mocks and discussion that list OJ Howard as a possible pick. I just can't see it. In fact, it borderline pisses me off. As far as I'm aware, #3 would be the highest drafted TE ever. On top of that, many are saying this is the deepest TE class ever. A top-5 pick on OJ Howard makes so little sense it's baffling. So please, anyone, convince me why it's remotely a smart idea.

Seems like he might have a lot of positives Pace tends to like... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/...t-lsus-pro-day/ Jamal Adams runs much faster at LSU’s pro day Posted by Darin Gantt on April 5, 2017, 11:58 AM EDT Getty Images Leonard Fournette’s weight isn’t the only thing that’s gone way down since the Scouting Combine. According to Mike Mayock of the NFL Network, LSU safety Jamal Adams ran his 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds. That’s impressive on its own, but it’s amazing considering he ran a 4.56 in Indianapolis a month ago. The clocks on campus were showing a 4.33 time for Adams but there’s traditionally some home-cooking…

    3. Chicago Bears Kiper: Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State | Watch highlights Safety is a clear need. I had gone with Jamal Adams here, but Hooker is more of a center fielder-type with deep range and great speed. He has some Ed Reed in him as a playmaker. In his first season as a starter, he had seven interceptions in 2016, including three pick-sixes. McShay: Jonathan Allen, DL, Alabama | Watch highlights Stick with the tape on Allen. He's still our No. 2 overall player, even after mediocre workouts. Allen's quickness and power help him constantly push the pocket as a pass-rusher, and he had 22.5 sacks in the past two seasons. The Bears could use a solidifying forc…

  15. I was wondering with all the Sherman trade talk; What are they asking for him? I'm thinking too much. At 29, he still has many years left. I also think once he loses a step that he would be a phenomenal FS. He's probably one of the smartest players I've seen. Then there's the mouth... Let it rip fellas!

If you like the draft, mock drafts, and tons of crazy trade down scenarios, then first-pick.com is the site for you. I've just touched on the tip of the iceberg, and this is what I came away with after multiple trades: 1.9 - Jamal Adams, S, LSU 2.7 - Cam Robinson, OT, Bama 2.21 - Adoree Jackson, CB, USC 2.27 - Evan Engram, TE, Miss 3.6 - Antonio Garcia, OT, Troy 3.9 - Dalvin Tomlinson, DE, Bama 3.14 - Zay Jones, WR, ECU 3.36 - Kevin King, CB, Wash 4.4 - Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE, Nova 4.10 - Davis Webb, QB, Cal 5.11 - Ryan Switzer, WR, UNC 6.10 - Chad Kelly, QB, Miss 7.2 - Ben Boulware, ILB, Clem I know that's ridiculous, but I just wanted to…

He's still rumored to be available and after the Tim Jernigan trade there is speculation that he would cost a mid-round pick. He's had issues in the past and is in the last year of his deal, but the Bears have plenty of cap room to absorb his deal and even extend him. He would make the line potentially scary. What about #3 to the Jets for #6 and Richardson? The Bears wouldn't need Allen/Thomas anyway and at #6 could still go QB/Adams/Hooker.

No one knows how the Bears view the top players, there are so many so called draft experts that it can be confusing to actually figure out the actual value. If we go by Paces own words , we have to assume he goes with BPA. top ten big board: 1- Myles Garrett-no brainier here 2-Soloman Thomas- has been moving up and would be our Justin Smith if we could get him 3-Johnathan Allen- He was considered the consensus #2 going into the Combine but even with the concern over future arthritic shoulders, he will not slip much 4-Jamal Adams- a future all pro 5-Marshon Lattimore- the highest rated CB in the draft 6-Malik Hooker- He would be tow…
