  1. Huge game for draft position. A loss keeps a top 10 pick in play, a win and we are looking at a pick around 15. After losses to MIN and GB, a loss to DET at home would have to be the final swing of the hammer on the nail in the coffin for Nagy and Pace. So we have a few things to be hopeful for in a loss. A win won't even feel like a win at this point. Unfortunately, these are the games the Bears win. So I expect a win, 20-16 in an ugly one.

Not really any threads here to just address the draft over all, so here we are. Been watching a lot of edge tape and different football guys opinions on DE players. Dallas Turner is rightfully the top prospect by most people.. He has such great upside. Latu has a higher floor to contribute right away but Turner is long term . Latu also some medical concerns. I liked Jared Verse but after watching tape and opinions, he doesn't have the bend or flexibility to be a 10+ sack man regularly. To give credit AZ54 already mentioned that. Latu can contribute the most in his first year but not quite the athlete Turner is. Greg Gabriel rated them Turner- …

Last year I worked 3rd shift and only caught a hand full of games. I bs you not, we did not lose any game I watched last year! This year I work on sundays from 10 to 7:30, so the only game I've seen this year was against the Colts. Seems like the games I watch we win, but the games I miss we lose! God I wish I had some Vacation time, I'd take every sunday off!!! But oh well all I can say is this week, like week one is primetime and I WILL be watching, so chalk one up in the W column!!!

  4. The Chargers are 2-5, and are in worse shape than the Bears somehow. Keenan Allen DNP on Thursday due to a hamstring injury. McManis is the only Bear listed on report. Derwin James, like Hicks is out. This is a great game to get the running game going as the Chargers are 21st against the run. All of the Chargers losses (5) have been by a TD or less. I have very little faith in this team, but based on what I have seen from the news conferences and media interviews, the team finally seems to be pissed off. Hopefully, they take it out on the Chargers this week. I am predicting a dominant performance with a defensive TD. Bears roll 27-13

It's that sad time of the year gain. Last Bears game of the season with the long wait till the new season & continuing new hope Bears win to go to .500 & end a miserable season that had so much promise after 10 weeks

  6. At the beginning of the second round, the Bears told Ohio safety Michael Mitchell to stay by his phone because they planned to draft him at No. 49. But the Raiders beat them to it, taking Mitchell two spots earlier. "When [the Bears] did that, I was like, 'I'm going to be a Chicago Bear,' " Mitchell told the Raiders media during a teleconference. "That's what I was thinking." That's what the Bears were thinking, too, until Oakland raided their second-round cupboard http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4716296.column Wow. Everyone was killing this pick when it was the Raiders. It will be interesting to see how he pans out.

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I would point out this involves the personnal conduct policy, which the bears have come up against before, and could one day again, and thus can be argued this is Bears related. There will be those who say if Ben isn't convicted (or even charged) Goodell should not do anything, but I disagree. Especially in a criminal case like rape, it is very difficult to prove guilt. Look at past cases that hit public like this, and often the victim becomes the accuses. She is called a whore or whatever. Anyway, it isn't unusual for a case like this not to make it to court due to how difficult it is to prove. With that said, the…

    * Orton looked solid and seems to be showing growth. Nice to see after we watched Grossman regress. Let's hope this continues. * My condolences to the "internet football experts" on the site. I know how much happier you all are when the Bears lose. * Atlanta and Minneapolis next. It makes tonight's game all that much more interesting. Both are games the Bears can win but we're going on the road to Atlanta. * Peanut has made amends for his brain-fart that cost us a game. Way to man up, Nut! * Booker's catch was one for the highlight films. Outstanding. And I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of bringing him back. Glad the Bears GM and coaching…

Who starts?? Do we start flip[-flopping Manning again?? Do we go with the rookie "Steltz Bomber"?? Do we use our recently signed 40+ veteran Holt???

In one of the other threads I mentioned something similar to the old-school Washington+Traylor combo. The reason that worked so well is that they basically set up a wall and said, "You either have to run around wide, or pass." It was pretty effective in that regard. What if the Bears did something similar in the near future? The way I see it, you need 2-3 components with this idea: 1) The stout DL, obviously 2) Athletic LBs, to chase outside, cover gaps, and go into pass coverage 3) A decent secondary So here is my challenge: Choose a combination of 3-4 ILB, and/or 3-4 OLB, and/or 3-4 DE that realistically could fall into the Bears draft position. …

I've done a ton of mocks on fanspeak and I've come up with a very common scenario many times: #11 kind of stinks for our needs. Tunsil & Stanley are gone. Buckner is gone. Jack is gone. The Bears are left with Elliott, Treadwell, Goff, and two DT/DE guys that may not fit (Robinson, Rankins). So what do they do? I hate the idea of Elliott. I also hate the idea of a 1st round QB. If someone were opposed to the DTs, then Treadwell may be the pick. The only other option that I really like is Conklin. I'm not sure if Conklin is worthy of such a high pick. I sure hope it doesn't play out that way. But if it does, would you be upset …

Worked with Jay in the past and Jay publicly campaigned to bring him aboard back in 2012. It would appear that Jay is here at least another year. I'm guessing Fox has sat down with Jay and his name came up. *Sits back and waits for catering to Jay comments*

It's an ankle. No word on the severity. I don't wish injuries upon anybody, but to have him out next Sunday would be a HUGE boost.

I have a fanatic Seahawks fan as a good friend, and he had this to say when I talked to him tonight: "The Offensive Line was the worst part of the team, and Sims couldn't even break into the starting lineup. He started a few games this year, but was bad when he was in the game." Further, nearly every draft site has OL as the primary need for the Seahawks...and, yet, they want to get rid of someone? This just doesn't pass the smell test.

  16. The Bears were trailing the Packers 17-14 a few weeks ago with refs aiding the Packers throughout the game. The Packers are 9-3 but are 2-2 in their last 4 games. In their last two their defense has been terrible, allowing 34 pts to the Vikings (who beat the Packers and lost to the Lions lol), and 28 to the Rams. The Packers are favored by 12.5, but I feel like this one will be decided by 10 or less. Rodgers has some sort of toe issue and it is going to be 33 degrees on Sunday Night. If you have ever had a toe issue, a cold cleat is probably the worst thing for it. To me if Fields plays, the Bears have a chance at an upset. If Dalton or Foles play, they l…

OK, I know Cutler disappointed a lot of these fans but... Grow the f*ck up people. It wasn't just the dipshits in the stands either! The Broncos were playing this game like it was their Superbowl! Dancing around like a bunch of hopped-up leprechauns on crack with every tackle. Hey dillhole, your job is to tackle! Get over yourself! Maybe it's the lack of oxygen to the brain... Does the Broncos new head coach look like a high school kid or what? After the Bennett trade, and after the rookie pool, and including the ridiculous Alshon Jeffrey cap his, we STILL have 15 million to spend. The Bears have been good about spending the maximum amount. We typically annually do some roll-over where we have 5 million extra to spend each year. We have 15 million to spend and I can't think of a single notable free agent we need to worry about resining next year. How the hell are we going to spend 15 million?

What a crazy roller-coaster season and game for that matter, perfect for 2020. It has come down to a 2-game season. The Bears need to win both and hope ARZ loses one of their remaining 3 games (winning right now).
