Very inconsistent player, seemed like an obvious cut.

When Cutler's status this year is debated, it's often the bird in the hand argument that is brought up. Who are you going to get to replace him? The answer is not a simple answer. There are no exceptional older veterans floating around this year. The draft is always a big question mark no matter how great the prospect. A large majority want to see defense, defense, defense, and maybe some O-Line in the draft. That's completely understandable, as this team has holes. But I think of Cutler as addition by subtraction. Cutting Cutler brings a hefty price tag this year, a $19.5 million dollar price tag to be exact. That is a scary number when you see it. So let's keep him…

Didn't wanna take away from the other thread so I'll start a new one. I'm cap illiterate so I was trying to figure out how much the bears would save if they cut him next year.... I read this on roto So to me that sounds like the bears save nearly 14 mill by cutting him while only being on the hook for a little over 4M right?

Anyone who watched SDC & DEN play in the past few years witnessed the matchups between Cuttler & Rivers and the verbal sparring that took place with Rivers calling out Cuttler saying he was a Pu**y. Well, looking at the games this weekend, Cutler mad a gut check TD showing he is willing to lay it all on the line for the team, and I saw Rivers take off up the middle when pressured and took a slide when a DEF guy got about 5+ yards from him allowing for no gain on his scramble up the middle. Who is the Pu**y?????

Same ole same ole. 3 round mocks.

Were getting down to the nitty gritty, and its time to see how smart we are. We all dream about what we want but the reality will be quite different, so I will lay out what i think will happen. First round trade: Cooper, Beasley, and Fowler are gone. I think someone wants Kevin White (who is still on the board), so we trade back. St Louis Rams are going for it with a top defense they trade up for a stud WR for there new QB Foles. We get there first 13 and second 41. The valve chart is within 100 points. 13: We grab Danny Shelton/NT- he has valve down from 7 and fills a need. 39: Nelson Agholor/WR- add a quality wide out 41: Preston Smith/ DE…

Saw this in the Sun Times, http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear27.article Per the article, DM will no longer be our starting nickel DB. Who will be is speculation at this point, and the article points to two possibilities. (a) Payne becomes the starting SS, and McGowan (the only other DB w/ nickel experience) becomes our nickel. ( Payne becomes our starting SS, and plays nickel when the nickel replaces the SS, rather than the SLB. Couple thought here. (1) Does anyone else not raise an eyebrow that we cut RMJ at a time we are not confident in our nickel DB? It was one thing to cut RMJ if the staff felt DM had developed and …

WSCR is reporting that Rod Marinelli is the new defensive coordinator. Last year's most valuable free agent acquisition will join this year's most valuable free agent acquisition as a coordinator for the team. To quote my idol, Charlie Brown, "Good Grief".

I know we have a lot of depth at d-line but this guy was always underrated for us and would be great depth at the tackle position if we grow thin again... Ian scott released from chargers link: http://twitter.com/sdutChargers/statuses/3786264713

Let another WR behind him for a touchdown tonight against the Saints. Old habits die hard. Peace

Webb showing up here is not a surprise but the line on Williams is. Either the injury is more serious than we've been led to believe or our young LBs are playing that well. I find it hard to see that much confidence in the rookies after just one game. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000022...s-on-nfl-bubble Just like two of the players above, Webb plays for a first-time NFL head coach. And new bosses want new players. Webb has lived off his potential for a while, but his potential slip out of the starting lineup could take him off the roster. Another potential surprise in Chicago: Keep an eye on linebacker D.J. Williams if he can't get healthy.

Is he making Tremaine Edmund’s expendable this off-season? Best defense grades LB D'Marco Jackson: 93.5 DE Joe Tryon-Shoyinka: 90.4 NCB C.J. Gardner-Johnson: 80.3 DT Chris Williams: 77.7 LB T.J. Edwards: 74.6

I have no Idea what else DA can do to prove that he should be on the field from the first snap of the game to the end. He and Knox clearly are the Bears best 2 WRs and both should be starting. After seeing Hanie get clobbered on more than one play I can truly say that the one truth about Martz's offense is the QBs get hit a lot and with that being said I am worried about not only Hanie's injury but also if Cutler gets hurt because it was obvious last night that Hanie and LaFevour don't have a firm grasp of this offense and looked shaky at times.
