Ok, he was definitely a character-risk not long ago. And everyone says he just didn't fit with Belichek. But is it just me or did Pats just sign the biggest jackass Diva WR of all time? And to make matters worse. They signed arguably the biggest Piece of Human Garbage playing in NFL in Haynesworth. Are they hurtin' in CAP SPace? Mankins, Haynesworth, Brady, etc.. I dont know. I welcome Meriweather and hope he's great, hes an instant upgrade and desperate need for a ballhawk/playmaker.

I will admit i was very unhappy about the pick on draft day and voiced my opinion. After reading and seeing the clips on youtube, i was wrong. Looks like the front office does know more than I do. He is the exact opposite of Seabass, who i despised with a passion.

So, everyone is so down on the Bears' WRs. I happen to think the bunch isn't actually that bad, but they simply don't get much chance since the line has done so poorly, the running game blew this year, and the QB play has been as inconsistent as Bea Arthur's bladder. Nonetheless, there are two guys who are available for big money, but are pretty much sure to produce. 1. Randy Moss - I'm sure the Pats want to keep him, but what would it take to go after him? 2. I admit that I haven't seen him a ton, but I have seen enough to form an opinion. I have gone to Youtube and looked at a few highlights as well. So, what I want to know is this: Is Rashard Mendenhall a speed back or a power back? From nearly everything I've seen, he's not explosively fast. He appears to be more of a power back whose speed was accentuated by playing in a quirky spread offense. If the Bears draft him, isn't he essentially the same type of player as Benson?

This season could be very interesting as different governors react differently to this year's pandemic. I say this year's pandemic because we have one every few years and most are worse than the current one. Anyway as I look at our schedule I see an away game in Week 1 at Detroit. That being one state where the governor refuses to let people sit alone in a boat. I'd say there's a good chance we don't have fans at that game and that's a big help for us. Later we have Week 7 in LA where we have another governor who is now worried about a 3rd wave of Coronavirus. That should be another great opportunity to see a level playing field on the road. Fairly simple question. Assume the contracts are favorable, assume Lovie, Orton, Turner meet with him and decide things are ok, assume whatever other details you want that would make the situation positive. In that case, would you want T.O. on the Bears?

Shows just how great a job the Bears have done so far. Now they need to finish up with signing Williams and make the rest of the GMs in the league look like fools......

Let's assume that Lovie keeps his staff intact and Angelo keeps the same blue print for offseason building ( drafts, FA's, Extending team players contracts). Last year i was suprised that Williams was our #1 pick ,but it was a definate a must. Angelo likes to pick up seasoned OL Vets ( early 30's) to fill in as stop gaps. I think we can agree on that Offensive line and WR's seems to be a must this year as well as FS and DL. I know we have certain amount of cap space allowed for Fa's and draft choices. That Omiyale had replaced Beekman on the last drive. ZZ asked him after the game why Beekman was replaced and Lovie said that was the 1st he aware of it. ZZ asked if Beekman was injured and Lovie said no. Just food for thought. Peace
