I just got off the phone with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan from Moving The Chains. A few callers before a guy named Super Bowl Shuffle was talking to them about the criticisms Jerry Angelo receives. Note to Turner...if anyone goes to the MNF game against the Packers could you please yell at Turner for me about using our TE Davis and Olsen in the Red Zone. It seams that he can't hear me when I yell at him through the computer screen.

It's called a play-action pass to the TE. The Ravens showed it to you, twice. It seems to work ALL THE TIME for other teams. You might want to think about putting it into the playbook.

Steelers at home only favored by 6.5 is shocking. That's only 3.5 pts on neutral field which means Vegas thinks this game will be closer than the SF game where the Bears were underdogs at home. There is a chance that Mack and Monty will be back. Borom now has a full week under his belt. I am not confident that the Bears can get a win outside of playing DET, NYG, and MIN. So this is probably a loss unless Fields takes another step in his development. The defense was literally a wet paper bag last week. If they are not better, it is going to be a long night. Steelers 31-24 Bears defense still bad, Bears offense a little better (3 TDs).

Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy. He's a heartless robot. His teams run up the score and he's been caught cheating. But damn, I look at the scoreboard every week and it doesn't seem to matter how much talent he has left on the field. He loses his QB, no biggie. They march on. His won/loss record has to be right up there. He's won a number of championships and had the undefeated season going last year until the final game. If this guy hangs around until the 3rd rd, I would take him in a heart beat. Put Williams at LOT, Place Sinclair next to him at LOG, OK as Center, Place Johnson at ROG, and then grab a ROT in the draft or FA. Problem solved, we have a solid and powerful OL. Herman Johnson, LSU, One Huge OG prospect, Would look great in a Bears Uniform, IMO.

Ok, so I've been thinking about this for a while. Mark Anderson is obviously our best pure pass rusher, but Brown deserves more playing time as he is much better against the run, so I say, if Briggs leaves, we convert Anderson to a LB/DE hybrid, along the lines of Willie McGinest and Terrell Suggs. He's definitely got the speed and athleticism, and we all know he can tackle. I think the role would suit him well if he can learn to play some decent zone coverage and of course, he'd always be a threat when blitzing.
