Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Well the Bears look good. And it appears they are going to be deep. Some of these UDFA's are pretty good. Going to be hard picking who stays and who goes.

GILL STANDS OUT AT NORTHWESTERN PRO DAY Posted by Aaron Wilson on March 13, 2009, 2:03 p.m. Northwestern defensive tackle John Gill wasn’t invited to the NFL scouting combine, but topped many players’ workout numbers during his Pro Day workout this week. That showing would have ranked him among the top 10 defensive tackles at the combine. Weighing in at 302 pounds, Gill clocked a 4.91 in the 40-yard dash, registered 29 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press test and turned in a 31.5-inch vertical leap. His shuttle run was 4.44 seconds and his three-cone drill was 7.1 seconds, which were better than any of the defensive tackle numbers at the Scouting Combi…

OMGZ KYLE ORTON IS THA BEST QB EVA!!!!! HE WINS GAMEZ MAN!!!! Some things never change. He continues to stare down WR's and he continues to play like a** when teams blitz him nonstop. I hope all Denver fans are happy with their QB who maintains their lead but can never come down and win them a game against a real defense.

MN offensive game plan was terrible. I love that they did NOT run AP like years past. Every time they ran a set were Teddy was under center they ran a play action pass. They pretty much ran AP out of the shotgun. I think that is crazy stupid. If they continue this it should help when the Bears play them. Im sure AP will get more comfortable in the shotgun but he is very dangerous when he gets going and has room to cut, out the shotgun he did not have very much run to get going. I have AP in my FF and clearly I hated this, but the Bears winning is way more important! lol

1 year deal. Presumably less than what we would have had to tender him (which I believe was 1.7M).

Makes no sense. We read the Tribune reports and they all say Carrol would be perfectly fine if Bates left, yet he's now trying to have him come to Seattle. WTF.

The saints just cut pro bowl guard Larry Warford. He was making 7 mil a year. IFEDI is here on a 1 yr deal so he definitely an upgrade. Let IFEDI battle for RG or you can have him be the swing OT. You probably get Larry for 1 yr 4 mil? I also read the bears are talking to him.

Hey Guys/Gals For a while I've been working on creating a Chicago Sports blog, which is related to this site and than a few other message boards (the Sox site I run as well) and I was going to see if anyone here is interested in writing bloggish pieces on Chicago sports teams. I know in the past Bearstalk used to have a front page and this blog will at least kind of be able to act in a similar sense (as there will be a section dedicated to stories/write-ups on the Bears). The plan is to launch on draft weekend (I know I'm going to be trying to do some write-ups on the Bears draft picks). I know a couple people on here had contributed to Bearstalk's fro…

That was one of the dumbest friggin calls in the history of the Bears. 1) Forte was effective 2) McKie is not a good runner 3) The passing game was not effective 4) Everyone in the stadium knew the Bears were going to run What the hell? This game is all on the offense, specifically Ron Turner and Kyle Orton.

Noots’ Notes-Game 7: 48-41 Win over Minnesota By Michael Nudo The Bears (4-3) treated their home crowd to an exciting 48-41 shootout with the Vikings on Sunday. Yet again, the offense put up big numbers while the defense held on as much as they could. This time, the defense was able to force a few turnovers. A few fortuitous bounces the special teams capitalized upon helped the cause as well. The Bears go into the bye week with a share of first place in the NFC North, and have an opportunity to get some of their injured players back on the field. Here are a few reasons the Bears can play the disrespect card: 1. Split series, yet everyone is picking GB 2. The Packers win was a must-win, and the the Bears had nothing to play for...yet it was close. 3. Remind me again, who won the NFC North? 4. Playing at home. 5. Many saying Cutler is the fourth best QB left. 6. People are fellating the GB defense, but barely mentioning how the Bears defense completely shut down the Packers in the last game. 7. Lot more talk about the flowing locks of Matthews instead of the bald head of Urlacher. 8. Early game instead of the primetime game. 9. The Packers are the official favorite, getting 3 points 1…

The 6-4 Detroit Lions are in 1st place with a +6 in net points. Minnesota looks a shell of their former self, and GB at 4-6 is laughable. At 2-8, we are obviously out of playoff contention, especially considering we have 13 players on IR, plus Miller from last night. Sitton and Floyd also left with injuries, while Massie, Urein, and Hall were out. That does not include Callahan, Porter, McPhee, Goldman, Young, Wilson, and Royal who are all nursing injuries and may miss time as well. My question to you all is, are we being too hard on the team/coaches/management for this debacle? Did our expectations of improvement mask the fact that we have the most injuries in…

Should be filled by Bellamy and Holmes. Bellamy has shown flashes of 'good' and was consistent in tonight's game. Although Holmes dropped his first two he came back with a nice TD and then a decent ( not awesome) PR. Since Holmes is a low cost low risk signing he more than qualifies for a spot especially with being able to do returns. The Bears should carry two QBs into week 1. I think Fales should be put on the practice squad or cut all together. His release is really ugly and obviously needs a lot of work. At least his accuracy was better than 'Lamezel'.

The way we're using our TE's, it sounds as though we might actually be able to establish somewhat of a "mid-Range" passing attack. This is something that we've not been able to do on a consistent basis since Ron Turner's returned as OC. Seemingly (especially with Rex) it's mostly "all or nothing." If we didn't connect on big plays down field, our running game stalled, & we were basically screwed. How many times in the past 3 years have you heard "2nd & 2" (We've heard 2nd & 12 far more often.) I don't completely blame Turner for this. Moose sucked & Berrian is not an over the middle receiver. Now we finally have the personnel. (Olsen, Cl…
