Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. Detroit coming back home after a last second win against the Chargers. Detroit has beat up on losing teams, and the Bears are a losing team. Outside of Fields coming back and playing lights out and the defense playing as good as they did against the Panthers, this one looks like it will be an ugly loss. 34-16.

Zach Zaidman (sp?) who is the SCORE Bears reporter and WBBM's sideline reporter during the games believes that the Bears will keep on 2 QBs on the roster and try to get Hanie on the practice squad. His thought is the roster spot that is eaten by Williams will be used to keep another offensive lineman and thus the Bears will only be able to keep 2 Qbs on the roster. Peace

  6. Rick Morrissey April 20, 2008 I have been trying to come up with salient points the Bears might be making as they attempt to lower the numbers in contract-extension talks with Brian Urlacher, who, if he isn't Mr. Chicago, is near the top of the family tree. There is, of course, Urlacher's recent back and neck injuries and the fear his game might be slipping because of those health issues. There is his age, 30 next month, which, given the rigors of playing linebacker, works out to about 50 in normal human years. There is the fact they gave him a nine-year, $57 million contract in 2003 and what's the big idea about wanting more money? These are g…

First of all, here's the link to the 2017 version. 2017 EVERYONE AGREES MOCK - VER 2.0 1. Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama - Still a need 2. Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech - Rookie QB acquired in Trubisky. Promising future. 3. Budda Baker, S, Washington - This pick was lost, but Eddie Jackson was selected. Promising future. 4. Chad Wheeler, OT, USC - Still a need 4. Kevin King, CB, Washington - Still a need 5. Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA - Still a need 7. Pharaoh Brown, TE, Oregon - This pick was lot, but Shaheen may be the answer. Unknown future. OT, CB, and DE were essentially ignored, and it showed in 2017. OT - Massie sucked, and Leno was barely average.…

The Chicago Sun Times believes that the Bears are more likely to cut ties with Cedric Benson this offseason than Garrett Wolfe. Admitting mistakes isn't GM Jerry Angelo's strongsuit, so a three-year old error would be a bit easier to deal with than a one-year old admission. Wolfe still has potential, but is unlikely to be higher than third on the depth chart. Source: Chicago Sun Times Long-term contract discussions between the Bears and DT Tommie Harris have broken off. Getting him locked up is still the Bears' priority, but Harris and his agent (Drew Rosenhaus) are asking for record money. Chicago is thought to have offered more than the seven years, $50.5 mi…

  15. The Bears head to Cleveland to face Joe Flacco. The line is only +3, so Vegas considers this an even game. People are talking about the Browns defense, but I'm confused. They just allowed 27, 36, and 29 in the last 3 games. Before this last game where they scored 31, they hadn't broken 20 in the 3 previous games. So their offense doesn't look that good. In their last game, Lawrence threw 3 INTs and the Jags had 4 turnovers but Cleveland has 3 of their own. So it was a sloppy game. If the same Bears team shows up, I am going Bears 23-13 in a low scoring affair where the Bears score late to put it out of reach. On offense, they need to double Garr…

I feel like comparing anyone to Mahomes is not fair, especially Fields. I don't think he will ever get to that level. However, I still think he can be a top 10 QB with top 5 upside with a higher floor than most other QBs due to his escapability. I don't think he is going to be a perennial 300yd passer, which will keep the national media narrative going. I don't know what the obsession is with Fields. He was the 4th QB drafted and not even in the top 10. The spotlight should be on Lawrence, Wilson, and Lance. Case 1 - Lamar Jackson has started (and had 10 attempts) in 49 games in his career. In 24 of those games (basically half), he failed to throw for 200 pass…

  17. Something different. Curious as to how some here came up with their usernames. Some are obvious (like mine) and others not so obvious. For me, the Bears4Ever came from a site I used to visit back in the day called "Bulls4Ever" which has since been transformed into RealGM. The 34 came from Walter Payton, whom I was named after (Payton is my first name). I debated using Sweetness34 but stuck with Bears4Ever. I've been a Bears and Bulls fan since I was about 8 or so, which was around the time I started sitting down and actually remembering games that I had watched with my dad. Unfortunately I grew up during the dog days of Bears football and Bulls basketball. Right arou…

NFL Network Charlie Casserly says he's hearing quite a bit about the Bears liking Trubisky. This is the start of the disinformation period before the draft but it's also about the time last year when we first started hearing the Bears liked Leonard Floyd. I thought all that was smoke.
