I was sitting here thinking about our offensive line and was trying to remember how many years John Tait has left on his contract. (Is it 3?) Usually I just check out LT's cap analysis for stuff like that. It used to be at the top of the forum and now it's gone. That great piece of work should be posted somewhere that's easily accessible.

Something different. Curious as to how some here came up with their usernames. Some are obvious (like mine) and others not so obvious. For me, the Bears4Ever came from a site I used to visit back in the day called "Bulls4Ever" which has since been transformed into RealGM. The 34 came from Walter Payton, whom I was named after (Payton is my first name). I debated using Sweetness34 but stuck with Bears4Ever. I've been a Bears and Bulls fan since I was about 8 or so, which was around the time I started sitting down and actually remembering games that I had watched with my dad. I'd love to see either Roy Schuening (OG), Dennis Dixon, or Mario Manningham in any combination for the Bears. My preference would be a combination of Roy Schuening and Mario Manningham. That would be outstanding.

Two games is pretty much all I need to see. The TD last week showed he has crazy hands. The TD this week showed he has great speed for a TE. Bennett is owed $6M+ next year on the cap. I think it would be wise to cut him at the end of the year and focus that money elsewhere, particularly on both lines. If the difficult decisions are being made, and moves like cutting Forte are being considered, then I think this is fair game. Bennett means far less to the Bears than Forte, and we've seen a similar sample size in their respective replacements.

Well here we are, the big trial, Preseason game 3, where the starters play the longest. Roy Williams...catch footballs when they're thrown your way. Offensive Line...Jay Cutler is not to be touched. Secondary...Tackle better. Everyone else...Stay Healthy!

The Bears were god awful running the ball last year. Blame who you want, but this is an area that has to be fixed. IMO, we will be looking to add a RB to compete. The NFL is a funny place for RB's. Ryan Grant GB, was an undrafted FA and had an almost Probowl season in limited action (7 starts). He finsihed w/ 986yds, give him 9 more games and he breaks 2000. The point of this is, as much as we'd love to see Mendenhall/Stewart in a Bears uniform, it's not the best decision for the Bears. We have a first RD back in Benson for 1 more year with a solid back up warrior in AP. Wolfe will provide a nice change of pace if used correctly. The Bears first priority needs to…
