I put together a list of the Bears current roster, color coded by contract expiration and sorted by position. I hoped it would not be reduced, but I am not great at uploading photos or spreadsheets. *Red is for players on their final year under contract. Nearly half the team is in the red, so expect another big year of turnover. *WR, TE, and QB are heavy red - depending on AJ resigning after this season, WR may be a huge need. TE I already figure we will address soon also. QB we will need to address a solid #2.

http://profootball.scout.com/2/816325.html Here's a link to the available free agent tackles. If we can get a good RT in FA we can focus on a good OG in the draft within the first 3 rounds, hopefully resign St Clair to play the other Guard and have the makings for a good OLINE.

If you were the GM, and the players in the poll were available at our selections, who would you take. I don't want to here that he won't be there when we pick either. Ya never know, and this is a silly mock. My choices were. 1-Ryan Clady OT I believe the Bears will be looking to change blocking schemes to a Zone Blocking Scheme and Clady is the best fit for that type of offense. 2-Malcom Kelly WR Even though he's falling on draft boards b/c he hasn't ran yet for scouts, if he's available at 44, the Bears cannot pass him up. A big possesion receiver that would fit nice in the WCO 3a-Ray Rice RB Even though the Bears like what …

I don't htink it'll happen, espeically w/ LA w/o a team. But maybe the talk applies some heat to this franchise to get something going here! CHICAGO MAYOR WANTS ANOTHER TEAM Posted by Mike Florio on January 20, 2009, 10:35 a.m. They’ve got two baseball teams, so why not two football teams? Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley reiterated on Monday his belief that the city should have not one but two NFL franchises. “We should have a second NFL team in Chicago,” Daley said on Comcast SportsNet, via the Chicago Tribune. “If San Francisco has two, New York has two, Florida has three teams . . . and when you take Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia, they hav…

Cole is reporting that Vincent Jackson has narrowed his choice to the Bears & Bucs. Take it for what it is worth. Note: I personally put little validity into these type of leaks because I assume they have to be coming from the players and their reps and they probably want to throw a few teams out there to push/drive the market. I have to believe Emery has kept his free agent plans very close to the vest given the way he plans on running the Bears (e.g., secretively).

Matt Forte is a stud. I loved this guy coming out and he reminds me of Brian Westbrook- he can catch it and run it, and he could have 3 TDs so far rushing. This guy is going to be our back for a long time now, barring injuries. Thoughts?

With the news of the Rex Ryan firing, I was looking to see who the lead candidates would be for HC jobs going into next season. We may or may not retain Fox (still up in the air) after potentially our worst season since 1969, but I could see both sides of the argument. With previous HC experience: Tom Coughlin, 70 ys old, 170-150 regular season record, too old for long-term position? Rex Ryan, 54 yrs old, 61-65, seems to be more mouth than anything else Gus Bradley, 50 yrs old, 14-48, never did anything outside of Seattle Josh McDaniels, OC New England, 40 yrs old, 11-17, the Cutler of coaches, everyone seems to hate him Jim Schwartz, DC Philadelphia, 50…

I liked being able to watch it on the DVR because I could fast forward and not dwell on the bad or get too over excited with the good...Plus sadly a family member ruined the outcome for me despite me telling everyone not to, so the whole game I was set on looking at why we lost the game. First and foremost the offensive playing calling continued to look scared for the most part. That's exactly the word that needs to be said when labeling the offense. Announcer said at one point that it looks like the Bears were looking to set the record for swing passes. I get it to an extent but one thing that I really don't understand why they didn't continue to do after the M…

Got this from the Bears official site: Piling up the picks Bears may recoup losses with bonus draft choices Dan Pompei | On the NFL March 23, 2008As it stands today, the Bears have eight picks in the upcoming NFL draft, but if everything goes right they could end up with a dozen. They have their own picks in the first round (14th), second (13th), third (12th), fourth (11th), sixth (ninth) and seventh (15th). They traded their fifth-round pick to Buffalo for defensive tackle Darwin Walker. But they received a fifth-round pick (ninth) from the Panthers for Chris Harris. They also have the Chargers' third-round pick (27th) as a result of a draft-day trade l…

According to ESPN Insider the Dolphins are shopping him. While he hasn't shown that he is a #1, I dunno. I think he could thrive in Martz system.
