No one has mentioned it on here so I thought I would bring it up. Eddie Royal commented after signing with the Bears that Cutler recruited him to come to the Bears. One example of him being a leader, Derrick Rose has refused to recruit which I think is stupid. He also said something along the lines that Cutler was a good leader in Denver. Christian Jones said something along the lines that Kyle Long and Jay Cutler were the two guys that first came to him after signing with the Bears as an undrafted free agent. I cant remember exactly what he said but it had something to do with him being a leader. I know Cutler does not have the body language…

Points of View, May 18, 2008 May 18th, 2008 Tom Shannon Posted in Points of View | No Comments » Edit | The Bears * Lovie Smith answers more questions: If Devin Hester played for another team, would you kick the ball to him? Fabian C. Gilroy, California If I was a coach from the opposing team, yeah, I would kick to him. You can’t let one guy take you out of your game plan. I’d have a hard time going in and telling my team, “Hey, this guy is so good we’re not going to kick to him,” so yeah, I would. Of course, it’s easy for me to say that. Translation: “Other coaches have no guts. They back away and let one man beat them …

Per the Suntimes. No problems for me with either. I think the Grossman signing makes keeping Griese unnecessary. Further, I think Kyle showed alot of potential in the last 3 games. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear24.article Peace

Tommie Harris is done as far as I'm concerned. He's stealing money. He hasn't done anything since the beginning of the 2006 season. Devin Hester is going to get large sums of money for basically being what he is best at "A super freak returner". He doesn't know how to play WR yet he's getting paid like he should be a T.O.

For all you Webb lovers, it ok, he wont be cut. He will either be the RT or swing tackle. Bushrod is an upgrade, the Bears believe that, Kromer believes that. There are in a better position to judge that than we are. We got better today and thats all that matters.

Someone did an interesting poll with profiles for quarterbacks where you had to pick one blind. I thought it might be interesting with this batch of profiles I found. I'll post the answers sometime later: Prospect A: Sees the field well and plays with an aggressive mentality. Has a gunslinger mentality, a strong arm and a quick release. Throws with touch. Is accurate. Will throw before his receiver breaks and can hit receivers in stride. Does not lock on to receivers. Has pocket presence and poise. Is no more than decent athletically. Has played predominantly in shotgun formations and will have to learn dropback skills. Prospect B: Four-year starter who is a na…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0720-story.html Forte has recorded more than 1,400 yards from scrimmage in each of his first seven seasons, a feat only two other players have accomplished. The others in that fraternity: Hall of Famer Curtis Martin and Tomlinson, a likely Hall of Famer. -------------------------------------------- That is very impressive and he's done this rather quietly considering the star attention that the others received. Forte keeps himself in outstanding physical condition so I expect he'll do the same barring an early injury. If he does perform similarly it will be interesting to see if we give him a new contract next yea…
