  1. Started by Stinger226,

I think that most of our draft picks will be on defense. Our DC will take what we get in the draft along with the pieces we have to form whatever defense the talent allows. I think they fit some pieces in from free agency. DL-With Houston and Young coming back from injuries it muddles the expectations of pieces we have that will fit in to the new scheme on defense. Bass and Washington will be tried at OLB so Houston, maybe Sutton are the only two DE types we have on the roster. We dont have the true NT type but think with Ratliff and Furgeson we have two that could play the role. Paea- was our best DL last year but doubt if he can play the DE sp…

Pace said he will rebuild through the draft, so I dont think there will be any big free agent signing, but plenty of lower end signing to help redo the roster. We have decent amount of cap space, but way to many spots to fill,to spend big. QBs-We will NOT be bringing in a QB to compete with Cutler, simply none available. Backups: Matt Moore has history with Fox Brian Hoyer has history with our new QB coach Jake Locker has history with our new QB coach conclusion: I think we bring in one of these 3 OR draft one. RBs-I think Kary gets a chance to show what he can do and keep in mind Gase and Fox ha…

I got into a conversation with one of the tenants at the building I work at and he's a huge FSU fan(I know this because I've seen him wear a few FSU sweaters, today he was wearing a Bears hoody). He brought up Christian Jones. He said that hes capable of being a monster as an OLB in the 3-4. Talked about how physically gifted he was and said with the right coaching (which he thinks the Bears have now) we may not even need a OLB opposite of Young. I admittedly hadn't seen enough of him, and thought of him as an ILB, but he said no, you want him on the edge making plays and utilizing his athleticism. What do you guys think of him? You can see in the…

#Bears have hired Stan Drayton as running backs coach; he spent last 4 years at Ohio State, helped Buckeyes win national title in '14. https://twitter.com/ChicagoBears/status/563464062881640448

Based on current contracts for 2015, the following personnel are under contract for 2015. Projecting moves to Practice Squad, but not considering current roster cuts, it looks like we will need: (1x QB, 1x RB/FB, 1x WR, 1x TE, 1x OL, 2x DL, 2x LB, 2x CB, 2x S, 1x LS). Does that look about right? Who do you want to see cut, and how many of these 43 make the 53 man roster? Offense - (20): QB - (2) Cutler Fales RB - (3) Forte Carey Perry WR - (5) Marshall Jeffery Wilson Bellamy Mariani Chiles (Res/Fut) TE - (2) Bennett Annen OL - (8) Bushrod Long Mills Garza Slauson Leno Ola Groy Defense - (23): D…

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/2/5/79856...-jameis-winston Marcus Mariota takes a tumble in McShay's Mock Draft 2.0. Marcus Mariota could experience a slide down the board on draft day. For the time being, he's experiencing a slide down Todd McShay's Mock Draft 2.0, as the ESPN analyst has him falling to the New York Jets at No. 6.

  7. Manziel, their 12th and 19th picks in the draft. With all of the issues going on in Cleveland and the fact that the franchise has been down for so long, they need to find some continuity at QB. Manziel probably isn't that guy (and or could use a change of scenery after going into rehab) and with the defense they have, they need to find a solid QB who can try and get them back to the playoffs. Wilbon suggested Bears trade Cutler for their 2 1st (with no mention of us giving back our 1st), however, I find that incredibly unrealistic (although I would clearly do it, because I think as a franchise, we need to be in full blown, talent accumulation mode right now). I also…

  10. Now the boring time of the year. Cant wait for FA to begin!!!!!! Pace and Fox now have to go through the roster and prepare for the draft. The next couple of months should be a little more interesting then years past 1. The great Jay debate will be solved.....will they try to win with him now, will they cut him or trade him 2. Marshal= where there is smoke there usually is fire......has he really worn out his welcome 3. What scheme will the Bears be running on D???? should get a pretty good idea by the roster moves 4. what older players will be resigned or cut???? I am really excited to see what the Bears do in FA and the Draft.....not to …

Hard game to pick, I don't like either team but my logical side wants to pick Seattle 24-20, but my gut is telling me NE 27-17. What do you think? Also, with the news about the Lynch extension, do you think Seattle can extend Lynch, make Wilson the highest paid QB, extend and give a raise to Wagner, and somehow resign Maxwell? To me Maxwell seems like the odd one out.

  16. Started by Stinger226,

read this somewhere and gives some info on Fangio and how it fits. Call it what you will but Fangio's defense is not a straightforward vanilla 3-4. His NT still plays a one gap shade position which actually does fit a guy like Stephen Paea and they can also use Ratliff in that.e role. Fangio plays his other DT as a 3 tech similar to a one gap 4-3 so Sutton is not a waste and Paea and Ratliff can also play that position. If Houston recovers from his injury and starts playing heads up ball again if he can add back 10-15 lbs he can play the RDE spot Justin Smith plays in SF which is where Houston played in Oakland and possibly rotate with Jared Allen there provided Alle…

When Cutler's status this year is debated, it's often the bird in the hand argument that is brought up. Who are you going to get to replace him? The answer is not a simple answer. There are no exceptional older veterans floating around this year. The draft is always a big question mark no matter how great the prospect. A large majority want to see defense, defense, defense, and maybe some O-Line in the draft. That's completely understandable, as this team has holes. But I think of Cutler as addition by subtraction. Cutting Cutler brings a hefty price tag this year, a $19.5 million dollar price tag to be exact. That is a scary number when you see it. So let's keep him…

    1. Shane Ray DE/OLB Seeing Aldon Smith flourish in Fangio's D makes him a favoritefor this pick 2.Denzel Perryman ILB This could be the leader we need on defense. 3.Jamison Crowder WR/KR Grew tired of seeing the kneel down or the tackle before the 20 on kickoffs 4.Donovan Smith OT We need to have some young OL in place for future 6. Anthony Jefferson SS Lets try again! 7 Tyler Heincke QB This may be a fantasy. His height not ideal but he needs a good showing at the combine to be drafted.
