We've seen it day to day and year to year. The media is like the frog waiting to catch the next fly. It seems like no matter what channel you watch or starting you time into, the narrative is the same. They are irresponsibly reporting everything from politics to religion to racial matters every damn day. Why should it be so different when hearing about it Bears? The media, nation wide, has gone from "what the hell did the Bears do to Justin Fields? To, my God, I can't wait for the Caleb Williams era"! I watched ESPN , rolled my eyes and turned the channel. Watched GMFB and ditto. Our my headphones on to ride the stationary bike, ditto! I'm sick of it. That'…

The Bears have the T-15th best roster WITHOUT A QB, LMAO! ? If you add an average QB with a score of 2.0, the Bears would move to a top 8 team. Also, I think they are low balling the RBs and WRs. So Saquon on the Eagles is a 3.4, but Swift, Herbert, Roschon is only a 2.0 on the Bears? Also, Moore/Allen is only a 2.8, but the Eagles Brown/Smith is a 3.8? Their WR3 is DeVante Parker who is terrible now. If the Bears get an elite Edge or DT, that would bump those units up from 1.8 and 0.6 respectively. They believe our DTs are the 4th worst in the NFL. Only the Browns have a better LB-CB-S combo score. Bears are #2 there, which is impressive.

With the addition of Byard (and subtraction of Jackson), the Bears are rolling out: Johnson, Stevenson, Gordon, Brisker, and Byard as the starting secondary with Terrell Smith, Greg Stroman, and Jonathan Owens as the first rotational players. Terrell Smith was the 2nd highest graded DB last year (behind JJ), and Owens had more snaps last year than any DB on the team. Can you name a better group, considering the depth as well? I can't. Also, this offseason was about clearing out the bottom of the roster. Blackwell, Ngakoue, Jackson, Jones, and Green were all in the bottom 10 players on the defense. There were a ton of bad snaps in that group that…

Let the level-headed, rational takes commence. https://x.com/rapsheet/status/1769131145688461483?s=46&t=cLrE-3h2uw3rACxhQZYEvg for 2025 6th rounder that becomes a 4th rounder if Fields plays over 51% of snaps (comparable to the Mac Jones trade compensation with a caveat, essentially). So no additional draft compensation for this year. Seems like a deal done to help Fields get some clarity on his future now.

From last season, the Bears lost this much production from their passing game (Mooney, Tonyan, Foreman): 53-603-2 This is what they gained from adding Allen, Everett, and Swift: 198-1868-11 That is such a massive jump in production it would make the Bears have a 4500 yard passer with the difference (145-1265-9) added to last year's passing totals. For rushing totals, they go from: 109-425-4 to 229-1049-5. So 120-624-1 difference there as well. Adding over 2K yards of offense and 10 TDs cannot be understated.

We spent 22 mil in free agency so far that brings us to 22 mil. Our adjusted rate is figuring in rookie pool which is high because we have 2 first round picks. Also last year we had 7 mil for in season business. So 22 mil left. We need a WR, and DL,, if not 2. Another C. He may stay with Bates and draft a C which would need to be in the second round which we don't have. I see no high level edge or DT with only 22 mil left . More on the lines of D Walker and Justin Jones like last year. Chase Young- Clowney, and SJ Wonnum . Are the best of the rest IMO Still lots of WRs but he's not paying Mooney type money. I hope he can still get Curtis Samuel for …

The more I think about it we all need to plan a vacation so that we can see one another face to face. After all these years, I'm not sure how we have not come up with plans to meet at training camp or something. Even if its just to slap the dog shit outta your TalkBears rival.

Poles has already established he prefers to build off the draft and fills the middle and bottom of the roster with free agency. He added two blue chip players thru trades. The big win this off-season was resigning JJ win win. Last year EJAC was a weakness and Poles addressed it with adding 3 Ss. Owens is a good get. Kevin Byard is a tough team leader, and will add more TOs We have added Keenan Allen and Gerald Everett, both have a low drop rate Swift upgrades the RB room and guarantees strong depth. We have added 4 OL, 2 capable OCs that can play OG. 2 OTs that can play OG. None are going to a pro bowl but definitely an upgrade. Jones and …

Chicago Bears Notable signings: WR Keenan Allen (trade); CB Jaylon Johnson; RB D’Andre Swift; S Kevin Byard; TE Gerald Everett; C Coleman Shelton; OL Ryan Bates (trade) Notable departures: WR Darnell Mooney; S Eddie Jackson; OL Cody Whitehair; DT Justin Jones The Bears saved their most significant transaction for late in the week. On Thursday, Chicago traded for Los Angeles Chargers WR Keenan Allen, adding the six-time Pro Bowler in exchange for a fourth-round pick (No. 110). Allen turns 32 next month and has had trouble staying healthy. He missed seven games with a hamstring strain in 2022 before shoulder and heel issues sidelined him in 2023. Allen is…

I went to look at the odds ( draftkings) on who ends up with Justin . I was surprised to see it was the Bears. +100 Atlanta was at +140 in second. Personally I think Poles keeps Fields and takes the draft haul. ( not trying to argue that point) but I thought odds would be great going somewhere else , it's not. I'll keep track of the odds, I was going to put my money where my mouth is and bet 100 on him staying.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39731763/bears-reach-one-year-deal-ex-rams-center-coleman-shelton Hard to get a read on this. The big prize Connor Williams is still available and would be a great fit but his injury recovery really clouds the contract talks. Is Shelton gap insurance if we sign Williams? Is he gap insurance to help a rookie come up to speed?

No terms disclosed - reported by Adam Jahns. He also was in Indy with Eberflus back in 2021. Know nothing else about him - but sounds like a swing tackle.

Seen this on Twitter. Brady and Mahomes were never considered generational. Who ? Andrew luck - no Trevor Lawrence - no Joe Burrows - no Eli Manning was never stated to be generational Aaron Rodgers was never called generational Russell Wilson was never considered generational Matt Stafford wasn't Can anyone think of somebody? Maybe Peyton Manning, was he considered generational? In the last 20 years only Manning won one SB that was considered a generational prospect.
