OK. The Fields thread is killing me. This thread is for the rookie QBs. If your argument is that we should keep Fields, that's cool, but this thread isn't for that scenario. The rules of this game are that you have to take a QB with pick #1, OR you can trade down to #2 and take any QB except for Williams OR you can trade down to #3 and take any QB except for Williams or Maye OR you can trade the #1 pick away for a fortune, but then you have to take a QB with pick #9 and it can't be Williams, Maye, Daniels or Penix This is also a good thread to just talk about whatever you do or don't like about any of the rookie QBs, even if you don't choose to make a pi…

Back when the trade deadline was approaching a lot of Bears fans were calling for Poles to trade for Chase Young. Since we have seen a good body of his work since he was traded to the 49ers, it looks like he is just fully recovered from his ACL tear and might be someone who could be a viable option to pair with his former teammate Montez Sweat.

OK, so I saw a graphic about this and had to look into it. Apparently, since 2000, there has only been a single Super Bowl victory that had a top 10 WR on the roster who was drafted by the team he played for in the Super Bowl. That is Mike Evans. There have been 33 picks in the top 10 used for a WR since 2000. It is ugly. Here are those 33 WRs, sorted by # of career receptions: 1 Larry Fitzgerald - Super Bowl loss (Kurt Warner) 2 Andre Johnson 3 Julio Jones - Super Bowl loss (28-3 thanks Shanny) 4 Mike Evans - Super Bowl win (Tom Brady) 5 Calvin Johnson 6 A.J. Green 7 Amari Cooper 8 Michael Crabtree 9 …

The media disrespect continues. According to draft order, the bears finished 23rd ranked in the NFL. Not bad considering it was year two of a complete rebuild. We played the last half of theseason as a top fifteen team. Fast forward to the 2024 season and the preseason rankings have arrived. In comes The Athletic, ranking us at 24! As the slander and liable continues, please post rankings you find. I want to uproot this incompetence early, so we can nail them to it later.

I will see things on the internet and want to drop the info but doesnt fit in a specific thread. Mike Lombard in regularly on the SCORE during football season. He has always condemned Justin Fields and his NFL potential. He was on the McAfree Show and they were talking about Jordon Love and the Packers. He said everyone is underestimating Love and the team. Then was asked about the Bears and said that he doesnt see Fields having the ability to be a top QB in this league. He makes a comment and even thou the upside of Fields has changed, has to double down on his first comments so he can be the smartest guy in the room. He's a PUD. as a Bears fan>…

Fields has 17 games to prove that he is H1M. I feel like he needs to show that in at least 75% of the games, or show some progress in those games. Right now he is 0/1, 0.0% on the season. He still has a lot of season left, but getting down 0/2 would be a big hole to dig out from. Every game that he starts, he basically sets a new record of futility at that amount of games started.

To start things off, great game last night! You can tell what a well built team looks like. Watching the game from our perspective, tells me that we are not ready yet. When it comes to conference championships and Superbowls, the defenses are amped up. The DB's become assassins and the pass rush is relentless. Our team needs became more clarifyed to me. And I didn't like it. Defensively, we need two more guys that can rush the passer as starters and one to be situational. We currently have one. After that, I'm good with the linebackers and secondary, as safeties are easy to find. On to the offense, OMG we need help. We have DJ Moore as our only stud. As we'…

Jackson posted several cryptic messages on social media, but all allude to him being gone from Chicago. So there is the first domino and Whitehair is probably next. Those moves will open up a ton of cap space and now we can project the need for a new FS in free agency or in the draft. Eddie started out hot, got paid and hurt. Unfortunately, he was a different player after the injury. He shied away from contact too much, and at times just seemed like the 11th guy on the field running around away from the play.

Colin on his show two days ago stated that Caleb doesn't want to go Chicago. He thinks they screwed over Justin Fields and have a lame duck coach. The Williams camp walked back on that yesterday , they don't want to be looked like the villain but they never denied saying it. A few months ago he said he would only play for a few teams and wanted a piece of the franchise. Chicago wasnt on that list. Caleb wants to go to Washington, he grew up in the DC area, that makes sense. They have a new coach and feel that he will be there for four years and will have a more stable future there. Colin was on the Score yesterday and talked about this. Colin is friends with Riley a…

Its nice to dream on enormous returns on trades but is it realistic? If we move to 2 with Washington. move to 2, get pick 40, pick 102. 1st next year. If we get lots of competition for one, add a player?

So I was looking back as far as the 2017 draft to see where QBs were slotted on the Draft Big Boards prior to the drafts. This one site takes a collection of most major big boards on the internet and collates them into a consensus board. I really like this as it takes out some biases and other factors. Some big boards are BPA, others are sort of slotted like their projected draft positions. It makes me sick that the Bears drafted Trubisky, AND traded up for him no less. On the Consensus Big Board for 2017, Trubisky was ranked 13th, Watson was 15th, and Mahomes was 22nd (which is crazy looking back). Myles Garrett was #1. Looking back at the most accurate draft projec…

There's a lot to talk about in the coming year but lets look at the good things that's happened in his first two years He took a terrible cap situation and turned that around in one year. We had the most cap space last year and top 9 this year. I think he cuts Whitehair and Jackson and adds 20 mil to our cap putting us top 5 . That's a win win. He took an old roster and ate lots of dead money to put us in a good space.Losing always comes with those decisions. In free agency he added ( core team players) Tremaine Edmunds, Demarcus Walker, TJ Edwards, Andrew Billings, Travis Homer, Karli Blasingame . In trades he got DJ Moore and Montez Sweat. In …
