  1. Started by adam,

Just looking at the team pre-draft by position groups, it is hard to see how this team won't be better this year. Here is what I am thinking: QB - Right now a downgrade with only Bagent and Rypien, but should be an upgrade in the passing game and a dip in the running game production post-draft. RB - This group basically went from Foreman to Swift, and Roschon in his 2nd year. That is a clear upgrade and should negate any loss to the rushing game from the QB position. TE - The addition of Everett makes this a clear upgrade. TE3 needs to be a blocking TE. WR - Adding Allen and subtracting Mooney is like a double positive here. I don't think WR3 is a huge need wit…

Lots of rumors out there connecting him to the Bears. Anyone reading anything that suggests it’s more than just internet speculation?

I think pressure will be on Poles and Flus to win in the third year of a rebuild. What puts us in the best situation to win now? I think it's a 98% chance Williams is our first pick. He has the highest floor and highest ceiling IMO. Not to say some of QBs won't be successful. I think the next most unknown QB prospect is McCarthy. He played on a team that won with the running game and defense which doesn't allow his stats to look great. I think he's the unknown QB in the draft. Harbaugh thinks he's the best QB in the draft. I think if we trade down he would be what Poles would do it for. IMO They all have some questions but that is what I think Poles options are …

Yeah, I call him Lord Poles for fun, but truly believe he is going to make us a winner. IMO, he is the best we've had since Jim Finks. Below, is an excerpt from an article from The Atlantic I found to be outstanding. It tells the whole Justin story, without mentioning Justin at all. The whole article is great. Poles went on to say that every individual has his own timeline, and some players have to be allowed time to develop to “work through some things.” “But when it goes too far and too long, your locker room knows,” he said. “I always keep that in my mind. If I’m gonna ask those guys to take ownership of a bad game, a dropped pass, a missed assignment, I …

Not really any threads here to just address the draft over all, so here we are. Been watching a lot of edge tape and different football guys opinions on DE players. Dallas Turner is rightfully the top prospect by most people.. He has such great upside. Latu has a higher floor to contribute right away but Turner is long term . Latu also some medical concerns. I liked Jared Verse but after watching tape and opinions, he doesn't have the bend or flexibility to be a 10+ sack man regularly. To give credit AZ54 already mentioned that. Latu can contribute the most in his first year but not quite the athlete Turner is. Greg Gabriel rated them Turner- …

On looking at our current roster, who are the blue chip players? Here's my list.... Wright, Jenkins, Kmet, Moore, Allen, Williams, Sweat, Dexter, Stevenson, Johnson, Gordon and Brisker. I'm counting twelve. Polian says 14. We are getting close. If we hit at nine, it's 13 possibly. Maybe 14 will develop under the radar. IMO, 13 is a shock. Very cool future for our team...

  10. Now that we've all had some time to research/obsess about the draft, I always like to get feedback on guys people really like or really don't like. It can be for the Bears specifically or just in general. Who's the late round guy you are pounding the table for? Who's on your bust list? Can we have a thread that doesn't devolve into a Caleb Williams cat fight? These are all questions I want answers to. MY GUYS: - Brian Thomas, WR, LSU - I've said it before, but he looks like George Pickens if Pickens could get separation. - Jamari Thrash, WR, Louisville - I like that he can play both inside and outside, isn't afraid to go over the middle, has speed, and…

Everyone knows who the first pick is. What happens at 9 is the question. This is my take and why. 1) Caleb Williams- no brainer 9) trade with LV to 13 and also get pick 77 13). Trade with Cinn to 20 and get pick 80 20) Chop Robinson / Chop is raw but has speed and off the chart athletics. Played the a true DE position and will only be 21 this year. 6'3" 255 at 4.48 speed RAS score 9.69 75) Mo Kamara/ edge highly productive , 6'2" 250 at 4.57 speed. Compares to Brandon Graham RAS 8.82 77) Tez Walker/ WR natural playmaker with 4.36 speed. 18 TDs in last 20 games RAS 9.87 80 )Tanor Bortolini /…

This is why the Bears should draft all offense this year. Focus absolutely everything on protecting the franchise player and providing him with superior weapons.

If Marvin Harrison Jr. falls to 5, would you trade the #9 pick and our first round pick next year to move up and draft him? Peace

With only a few days until the draft are you getting excited or do you have anxiety? All the conjecture and BS stops on draft night. Are the anti-Williams folks resigned to the choice or still hoping for a last minute surprise? Is your focus more on the second pick at this point? I’m hoping for an Offensive Tackle myself More importantly, how are you feeling about the season? Things should be much improved but we’ll have a rookie QB. There are obvious exceptions but usually that’s a tough first year. Lastly, are there any FA’s left that you’d add depending on what happens in the draft?

  16. NFL is investigating the FA signings of Saquon and Cousins per shefty. Expecting loss of draft picks - potentially more severe for Falcons vs. Eagles. Some swirling reports that maybe the Giants/Vikings actually pick up the lost picks. Would Falcons lose their 1st rounder (or will it be a lesser pick or a future pick) and beyond that - will Vikings potentially get that pick. Could have major implications on Bears positioning - especially if NFL set a tone and took away #8 pick (I would be shocked - I'm expecting something like a 2nd or 3rd rounder if they wanted to come down hard).

  17. Nice move - my presumption is if the Bears arrow continues to accelerate upwards he will be gone at the end of the year - but I'm good if he wants to be picky and stick around a bit longer
