I'm listening to this guy on the radio and he is getting dangerously close when comparing the Saints "bounty" system to when he was with the Bears. We dont need the attention......

  2. We still need to look at numbers 28, 31 50,60, 4. Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace (RFA). 7. Ravens cornerback Lardarius Webb (RFA). 22. Raiders running back Michael Bush. Signed with Bears. 28. Chargers offensive tackle Marcus McNeill. 31. Bills offensive tackle Demetrius Bell. 50. Seahawks linebacker David Hawthorne. 52. Redskins linebacker London Fletcher. 58. Patriots defensive end Andre Carter. 59. Jaguars defensive end Matt Roth. 60. Bengals linebacker Manny Lawson. 63. Saints defensive tackle Aubrayo Franklin. 64. Close to the draft, looking at what we got; QB- With Cutler, Campbell, and McGown, we now have a legit backups for a potential problem. Throw Enderle to the scrap heap. RB-Forte, Bush,Bell,Allen and throw in Klutz and we wont be drafting at this position. I would say rock solid at RB. TE-Davis, Spaeth, Adams stick and the A. Smith, and D. Ross will be gone. Not a position of strength but a wait to see with Davis. I dont think think we will draft. WR- Marshall,Bennett,Hester,Davis, Weems,Thomas, Sanz, and Komar. I dont count Knox because I dont think he plays this year. We still need to draft another prospect to be a #2. I think Bennett is a #3 on a goo…

More than in other years, I'm struggling to figure out where the Bears will go this draft. So I decided to take a look at the roster to figure out where I see holes, and this is what I came up with: QBs - Jay Cutler, Jason Cambell, Josh McCown, Nathan Enderle -No worries here RBs - Matt Forte, Michael Bush, Kalil Bell, Armando Allen -No worries here either FB - Tyler Clutts -Did a good job last year. WRs - Brandon Marshall, Earl Bennett, Devin Hester, Devin Thomas, Eric Weems, Dane Sanzenbacher, Max Komar (Knox) -There's no true need here, but Komar and Sanzenbacher are expendable and Weems doesn't figure to get much time at WR. I just keep a…

Been gone a while. Been a bit overwhelmed at work..still stationed overseas, and not able to contribute. Ready for the draft!!!....GO BEARS!!!

  8. Here is to hoping Phil does a waaaaaayyyyyyy better job than JA. There is no control as to who is there at 19 but Phil controls who he does pick. That also goes for the 2nd round and 3rd round. I cant take another Dan Bazuin type pick. The Bears need to get a couple of guys who contribute now!!! He already got a WR, not saying another wouldnt be nice but who ever he picks they must be able to do more than Dan Bazuin did in the 2nd.

Here is some information out there about our pick. I have read where NE and Packers would have taken him with picks. Good draft company Players in the top 13 sackers in the league last year, playing DE Allen/6-6 270/Idaho State Babin/6-3 267/Western Michigan Long/6-3 270/Virg Avril/6-3 260/Pru C. Clemons/6-3 254/Geo T. Cole/6-3 270/Cinn Our pick has similar size with some of the best pass rushers in the league last year. Some are from not major schools. DEs similar in the draft Ingram- play either DE or OLB I think the Bears may have him rated higher, but he wasnt there when we picked. Meculis- play either DE or OLB Almost identic…

Love Smith stated to the Tribune Coach Lovie Smith talked about adding talent to the line with former first-round picks Gabe Carimi and Chris Williams returning from injuries. But he wouldn't say if Williams will be back at left guard where he started nine games last season. "We've added a couple of guys and there are still a few options out there," Smith said. "Believe me, we want to do everything we can to open up holes for our running backs and protect Jay Cutler. We felt like we'll be able to do that." Hopeful is all I can say http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2679683.story

None of us on here are pro scouts or work for a NFL team so we have to take our opinions as little valve in the scheme of things. The draft always intrigues me and spend a lot of time checking out draft sites, mock drafts, ect. and would have made different choices at every point of the draft, but it is like a hobby for me and not my job. I have liked what Emery has done in FAgency and will have to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see how this draft class turns out. McCellin-I as well as others seen him in a OLB spot but that doenst mean he cant play DE in a down position, What I like, his name is easy to spell, football instincts, high motor, speed, foo…

Let's face it, nobody here predicted this draft would unfold the way it did. You guys know me, I'm a glass half full koolaid drinker. But... Most of this draft clearly fits into the following categories: 1 Reach 2 Risky 3 Tweener. Now as a fan I have to give Emery a chance to prove himself and so I will. We all hope for the best. But frankly, Emery's history with KC doesn't fill me with confidence and this draft looks flawed. I guess getting Marshall makes me feel a little more comfortable with Emery but given that even that was tainted by the charges and this player's mental health condition, the jury is out.

Since the draft didnt do anything for us there still are some veterans out there. Hanyesworth-a worth ethic problem, but if fire lit under his ass, as a NT you slide Paea over to 3 tech, as I remember when drafted he was quick enough to play there. Franklin-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note Bernard-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note J. Miller- on the roster, not yet given the chance, has interesting speed Cameron-UFA signing that probably wont make the roster Sign A Carter and move Ildonije to DT, only if McClellin pans out Not a lot of choices, unless others DL are dropped as the draftees players fill ther…

Wait? What? Junior Seau was shot? How? Why? They’re saying suicide?’’ Question after question went through my head after I heard the tragic news Wednesday. Immediately, my heart began to hurt. What I felt was a deep pain, a deep compassion for this situation beyond Junior, his kids, his family, his teammates and his friends. There are many people out there who are suffering and have nowhere to turn for help or are afraid because of the stigmas placed on …

Some die-hard fans are unwilling to accept the fact that the Bears are no longer "cheap" and are willing to pay up to give us a good team. Those who acknowledge that we are not the Bear penny pinchers of the past always come back with a "but we spend the money unwisely", an argument that has some foundation, IMO. Emery is making moves to make sure we do indeed spend our money wisely, increase our quality of drafts and FA acquisitions, by overhauling the Scouting System we have had in place, and I am sure the additional staff and internal promotions cost the owners a good chunk of change. However, if successful, could indeed save them from wasting money in the futur…

I always liked it later in the season, between weeks 8-10, that way you can rest some players for the stretch run. I also like playing the following week at home, that way you essentially get an extra day (no travel). This year we have our Bye in Week 6, a little early for me, but at least we play at home the following week. For comparison, Green Bay has their Bye in Week 10, Minnesota in Week 11, and Detroit in Week 5. All three teams play on the road the following week. Every team also plays one Thursday game.
