Watching ESPN is killing me because all they have it seems is Dilnut, who over and over again says Denver is coming out of this way ahead. What do you expect though from an average QB who feels having a top tier QB isn't that big of a deal. Switched over to NFL Network, and they "get it". Their focus is on how starved Chicago is for a legit QB. They know the importance of a QB. While they realize Chicago gave up a lot, they also are talking about how the Bears still have their 2nd and a 3rd (which I have yet to hear ESPN even mention). They talk about how Chicago was on the verge of the playoffs, and this is the sort of move thatt can put them over the t…

Last time I posted I got a little riff for being negative on our Bears being stagnant with the fa market. Listen I don't post a lot but when I do I call it as i see it. I knew if we went into the season with what we had, There was little hope that we would go far into the playoffs. I would even go as far to say it would be hard to win our division. Now with the recent moves I see hope. Hope that I was asking for in the likes of a all pro QB and and that all pro OL. Yes, Pace might be up in age and have health issues but it's an upgrade. And yes it's only a stop gap. We can't solve all our problems in single off season but it's a start. It seems that m…

I want to thank you guys for all the votes you gave on AFN so this Active Duty Bear Fan can see the game. I decided to fork over the money on NFL.com so I can see the games. The streaming sites that would play the games were always very choppy due to the Turk-nology here in Turkey. So again, Thank you for the support you guys give us troops everyday. We appreciate it and I appreciate you guys.

Thank God for the Chicago Blackhawks! Baseball in this town is just abysmal and our basketball superstar took the season off, months after he was cleared. I'm not that into other sports, Bears football is my #1 by a long shot, but hockey started being fun again when Rocky took over the team. And now, hopefully they'll win two more and we'll have another parade. It should motivate guys in other sports and on other pro teams when they see how this town celebrates a winner! If they want to be heroes and they succeed, they'll get rewarded beyond their wildest dreams in this city. And even if the Hawks don't win it all, they've been awesome and they've gotten us to b…

I couldn't believe he was with us that long. But he played 10 years with the Bears and averaged just over $1M per season with the Bears. Was a fantastic value player, missed a grand total of 6 games during that tenure and gave up an average of 3 sacks per year. He was getting older and wasn't the player he once was, but he did a good job in Chicago and wore the uniform with pride.

For one moment today, I felt good! It was so nice to see a guy that did every thing we asked him to do, perform well against a hated rival! Thank you Kyle Orton! Now, even if the slobs from GB win it, at least they can't shove perfection in anyone's face. Kudos to Kyle Orton. I hope he lands the starter job in KC. He's earned it today in my eyes. ...and one last thing. F you Green Bay!

Thanks for nothing Dallas. Monumental collapse on their part. As much as Cutler frustrates me, I'd rather have him than Romo. Not to jump ahead because the Philly game scares me but the Pucker win sets up Rodgers return for the season finale.

Again, I'm really appreciative for the concern of all of you here. Fortunately for me and my family we had little damage to the house--a few broke things-and we are all safe and now have elctricity, gas and water. There still are many here, just around the block as a matter of fact, that do not have electricity yet. My work at the university has been suspended pending an evaluation of the infrastructure and the arrival of electricity there. Santiago is about 200 miles north of the epicenter and mostly very old buildings, many historical sites and the very newer ones--mostly lower income housing--suffered the most damage here. Down south, though, between the earthquak…

With the GB loss, Bears are guaranteed to go into Week 6 with 1st Place in the Division. Hilarious that Crosby missed 4 FG's and an XP (13 pts) and they only lost by 8.

Hi All, Just wanted to say thanks to Pixote for starting this great forum and for all who contribute, I benefit so much from being a part of this forum! I would never be able to know nearly as much about the Bears and football in general if it were not for this board, many members here are knowledgeable and helpful and I learn a great deal from reading the posts! Keep on making this board a great one, thanks to all!

The NFL has changed in recent years since the "gotta make a football move" rule after a catch. I'm not sure if that verbage of the rule still exists, but I nevertheless haven't been a fan of whatever form of this rule we've had in recent years. I've never liked the rule because I see it time and again taking away legit forced fumbles because the player only took a step and a half after the catch or some nonesense...whatever, apparently not enough to clearly show maintained possesion in today's NFL. I have, however, understood that the rule was at least intended to eliminate cheap fumbles that come only an instant after the receiver controls the ball, so implemented …

OMG That game nearly gave me a Heart attack. I was absolute nervous wreck during that last 2 minutes. If they keep this up Iam gonna have to write my obituary for the wife. Great win , but my gosh, cant we keep it more like the vikings game , that way I will survive.

Cutler and the O did their job. The D failed us for 2 very long drives. In fact, Pepper may have caused the loss with his bonehead offsides when we had SEA at their own 10. However, Smith and Tice botching the 4th and short...was the 3 points we needed to win. Between the D and coaches...this loss is on them.

So now we have heard from both Caleb and DJ Moore about tht pass where the Rams intercepted the ball. Both called it a miscommunication. That means it wasnt an errant throw by Caleb. And sure DJ jogged the last part of the route, but even if he had run full speed, he wouldnt have made it to the ball the way he was going. I think this proves what the analysts said about DJ should have broken his route sooner, underneath the coverage. Hes made that mistake before too - in the Packers game where the ball was intercepted in the left front of the end zone. And another time, when we have film of Caleb yelling at him to undercut the safety. So this wasnt a on…

Have to keep reminding myself, 1st preseason game, do not take it too serious, look at individual performances, not team success, it is just live practice, not to worry, not to worry, repeat after me, not to worry, LOL
