Not that this is something new, but it is interesting to see how the media reacts to two different losses this week. KC and CHI. So we lose to OAK in London with our backup QB and several other injuries to the same team that beat the Colts in Indy the week before. Those same Colts just beat the Chiefs in KC. So you would think, things like Power Rankings would reflect a similar outcome for the Bears and Chiefs. We both lost to middle of the road teams (both now 3-2), yet one did at home and one did at a neutral site. At worst, we should fall fairly even in power rankings, which is an easy way to judge how others see the teams. However, that is not the case, chec…

So much drama for this game. Will Trubisky start? Why is Trevathan not on IR and taking a 53-man roster spot? Is Ryan Pace an idiot? Will Pineiro miss another FG and blame the hash? How many penalties will Leno have? How many yards off will Kyle Fuller play? How many times will Montgomery be hit in the backfield? How many Cohen runs up the gut are we in store for? How many dropped passes will Bears receivers have? How many helmets will be removed on the field after a special teams tackle? Will Mack register anything on the stat sheet? How many times will Floyd disengage from the blocker? To hurt the Raiders draft position, the Bears will win this 19-16 in an extremel…

So I’m perusing multiple media site; the growing sentiment is that this season is strictly about Fields’ development. Article upon article mainly focusing on his week to week growth. I’m starting to feel like the narrative is that a losing season is acceptable as long as Justin develops. I’m not sure this sits well with me. Pace and Nagy should be held for the collective performance.Nagy on delivery of yet another lower third offense, not acceptable if you are hired with a background on that side of the ball. Pace for continuing to ignore the trenches, which is the foundation for winning programs. I fear George is going to buy this storyline and just chalk the season up t…

After the Miami loss, this game is way more important. After starting 3-1, it will suck to drop to 3-3 after 6 games. 4-2 would keep us in 1st place in the Division regardless of what GB or MIN do. Detroit and Jacksonville both beat NE when NE was on the road. The Bears have a chance to do the same. The Bears +43 points differential is tied for 3rd in the league only behind LAR and BAL. The Bears are 4th best in points allowed, lead the league in INTs per game (2), are 3rd in sacks per game (3.6) even after not getting one against Miami. Based on Wilson's performance, you have to think Edelman will be a main target for Brady. We need to get pressure and get…

Little bored this Saturday playing mock drafts and reading. My question is what two players or positions do you think will be best for the Bears going into 2020 and beyond to draft in Round 2 if we cannot trade back? My two with some luck: OT- Austin Jackson OT USC - there seem to be a decent amount in this draft, one could fall? I could live with a Prince Tego-Whanago also OLB- Terrell Lewis OLB ALA- also a player I see late RD1 early Rd 2. We did sign Quinn, but rotation and freshness keeps the pressure on. If he is available, the Bears need another body. Let's see what two players could boosts our chances.

Somehow, someway. 5-1 after 6 games. The defense has been elite. The refs have really cost the team a ton of points. Nagy needs to just be the HC and we need a new coordinator.

I'm seeing breaking news reports that Aaron Rodgers is possibly wanting GB to trade him. Things have been slowly devolving there concerning his contract past the 2021 season. How crazy is this. Per Adam Schefter that Rodgers is so disgruntled that he has told some members of the organization that he does not want to return to the team. Curious what it would take. Wouldn't the Packers have to take a huge cap hit to trade him? I know his guaranteed money is all paid out after 2021 and they could even cut him (not that they would) next year with no hit. Holy crap what timing for that story to come out as the 2021 draft starts tonight.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the is an unnamed league source suggesting Goldman is considering retiring at the ripe age of 27? Seriously? I certainly hope not. We need this guy back out on the field. It sounds like Bears NT Eddie Goldman’s future is in doubt

He wouldn't be a bad backup, but obviously if Orton doesn't pan out the Bears would still be in need for a QB.

For me it's Culter and Fuller. I don't think I need to elaborate.

Assuming the Bears don't trade down ( ), the recent FA pickups seem to have gleaned some light on the situation. Right now only a few possible positions make sense (in no particular order): 1. QB 2. DE 3. S 4. CB Quarterback With Glennon on board for the amount of money he got, there is no way the Bears spend a #3 pick a QB to ride the pine. Similarly, they wouldn't have paid Glennon that much, even if it does amount to a one year contract, to sit behind a rookie, first-rounder. Cornerback The money they just shelled out for Cooper and Amukamara means there is no way they are going for a CB with the forth pick. The contract given to Cooper indica…

Leno has gotten better each year but is still not even average. the only difference from Leno and Whitehair is the 2" difference in arm length, otherwise they are the same size player. I looked at last years OT class and the best OT were a little taller and they all had longer arms. The one closest to the size of Whitehair was T. Decker, his arm length is 1" longer than Whitehair. So here is what I think will happen, they will stick the best 5 OL on the field at the same time. The question that needs to be answered is how good is Grasu, if he is healthy and has become a good player, I think they move Whitehair out to LT. Whitehair played the position in col…

When Cutler's status this year is debated, it's often the bird in the hand argument that is brought up. Who are you going to get to replace him? The answer is not a simple answer. There are no exceptional older veterans floating around this year. The draft is always a big question mark no matter how great the prospect. A large majority want to see defense, defense, defense, and maybe some O-Line in the draft. That's completely understandable, as this team has holes. But I think of Cutler as addition by subtraction. Cutting Cutler brings a hefty price tag this year, a $19.5 million dollar price tag to be exact. That is a scary number when you see it. So let's keep him…
