Did Emery basically tell Trestman this is what we are going to do and you will like it? If any coach would accept that, it would probably be Trestman who is very passive as a whole.

I wanted to get other fan's opinions on this topic because I am stuck in between on this one. On one hand, if Cutler and Forte don't get hurt, IMO they finish 12-4 with an outside shot at beating GB in Lambeau to finish 13-3. That would suggest that they are right there and only need a few tweaks to get there, mainly a #1 WR and a LT. OTOH, the Bears defense is aging with all of their stars on the wrong side of 30, and on offense, Cutler is going to be 29 this season, so he probably has 4-6 years left of being a reliable option before his skills start to erode. If we could sign Jackson or Bowe, sign Moss and then draft Floyd........Cutler will have an orgasim!! Assuming the Bears don't trade down ( ), the recent FA pickups seem to have gleaned some light on the situation. Right now only a few possible positions make sense (in no particular order): 1. QB 2. DE 3. S 4. CB Quarterback With Glennon on board for the amount of money he got, there is no way the Bears spend a #3 pick a QB to ride the pine. Leno has gotten better each year but is still not even average. the only difference from Leno and Whitehair is the 2" difference in arm length, otherwise they are the same size player. I looked at last years OT class and the best OT were a little taller and they all had longer arms. The one closest to the size of Whitehair was T. Decker, his arm length is 1" longer than Whitehair. So here is what I think will happen, they will stick the best 5 OL on the field at the same time.
