Right now what we are is a top team playing not to lose. We have a good if not great defense and the best special teams squad, but our offense is lacking. lacking not because of talent but because of I'll play it safe mental thinking of our coaches. IMHO to beat the Buc we must run the ball at least 30 times and use our height at TE in the red zone, because we are going to get there against this team. With two games down, the Bears future needs may have shifted a little. Brandon McGowan once again went down and the Bears must plan to go on with out him, so finding another S has shifted up on the Bears big board. As the world knows, the Bears also need to find a QB that won't just be counted on to be a game manager, but can be relied upon to give them a chance to win a game also. The Bears also need to continue rebuilding the OL and should look at Tampa/Carolina as a model. Now that McGowan is out for the year what do we do...promote someone from the practice squad to take his place on the 53 man roster or sign someone off the FA wire. What do you think we should do. IMHO we should promote Bowman the CB since he made the 53 man roster in the first place. But do we need a back up at safety or are we happy with Brown,Payne Manning and Steltz

The Bears just HAVE to get away from that quick 20 yard sideways pass to a wide receiver right after the snap. I don't know what this play is called but it needs to be SCRAPPED!!!!!! I hate it. How many times did Carolina almost pick that thing. The Bears get 5 yards TOPS on that thing....stupid.

I'll admit, I was one that thought Rex got the bad end of the deal when he was told it was an open "fair" competition for the starters role. I thought he should of had a shot last year against a weaker Detroit team to rebound. Since that is in the past, I've gotten behind Kyle Orton. After two games, I still stick behind Kyle even though the bench K.O. is starting to drift. Heres what I've seen in Kyle so far: SHINES: -Kyle has the upmost respect from his teammates. The Bears should have traded Hester when they had the chance. Earlier this season when Hester was holding out for money I (and I think a few others) said that he is not going to be worth anymore than he was then. I said he was one injury away from losing his step and was only going to get slower regardless. That and all the other teams are figureing out how to stop him. First he tried to make something out of nothing (see the Colts game and a tackle on the 3) then this injury. A "soft tissue" injury to the ribs that could keep him out for up to two weeks? I'm going to get ripped, and even I'm confused as to why I'm making this thread. 1. Derek Anderson hasn't looked too good, but they are paying him $10 million a year, and I don't think they'll be paying him that riding the pine. 2. Orton is a back-up QB in the NFL (just a starter here, and a few other places). If we are going to suck, we might have a top 10 pick anyways, and we may as well start rebuilding by picking up Brady. 3.
