IMHO to beat the Buc we must run the ball at least 30 times and use our height at TE in the red zone, because we are going to get there against this team. DO NOT GIVE MCKIE THE BALL ON 3RD OR 4TH AND 1 OR TWO! We need to use the famous play action bootleg pass to the TE that always works. If we did last week we would have won that game. 4th and one and the team is stacked for the run and a hand off to the slow a$$ fullback. Who did Turner think McKie was Jim Brown, Franco Harris,Walter, Barry.....who!!!!! LOL

The Bears should have traded Hester when they had the chance. Earlier this season when Hester was holding out for money I (and I think a few others) said that he is not going to be worth anymore than he was then. I said he was one injury away from losing his step and was only going to get slower regardless. That and all the other teams are figureing out how to stop him. First he tried to make something out of nothing (see the Colts game and a tackle on the 3) then this injury. A "soft tissue" injury to the ribs that could keep him out for up to two weeks? I mean come on!!! This was just a result of the heat and cramping. There is a troubling trend developing. …

Now that McGowan is out for the year what do we do...promote someone from the practice squad to take his place on the 53 man roster or sign someone off the FA wire. What do you think we should do. IMHO we should promote Bowman the CB since he made the 53 man roster in the first place. But do we need a back up at safety or are we happy with Brown,Payne Manning and Steltz

http://blogs.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=1933 Minnesota sure does stick with their QB (he was terrible from day 1). http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/rumors/post/Vi...?urn=nfl,108180 Thats a surprise, is this why he dropped touchdown passes all season?

  9. The Bears just HAVE to get away from that quick 20 yard sideways pass to a wide receiver right after the snap. I don't know what this play is called but it needs to be SCRAPPED!!!!!! I hate it. How many times did Carolina almost pick that thing. The Bears get 5 yards TOPS on that thing....stupid.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080917/sp_nm/nfl_vikings_dc_1 Frerotte replaces Jackson as Vikings quarterback 1 hour, 24 minutes ago NEW YORK (Reuters) - The winless Minnesota Vikings will replace quarterback Tarvaris Jackson with veteran Gus Frerotte in the hope of jump-starting a stagnant passing game, coach Brad Childress said Wednesday. ADVERTISEMENT Minnesota opened the season as leading contenders to win the NFC North but have stumbled with losses to Green Bay and Indianapolis. "I feel like we have an opportunity here that I don't want to let pass by," Childress told reporters. "Obviously we have a chance to have a successful season and…

I'll admit, I was one that thought Rex got the bad end of the deal when he was told it was an open "fair" competition for the starters role. I thought he should of had a shot last year against a weaker Detroit team to rebound. Since that is in the past, I've gotten behind Kyle Orton. After two games, I still stick behind Kyle even though the bench K.O. is starting to drift. Heres what I've seen in Kyle so far: SHINES: -Kyle has the upmost respect from his teammates. He was voted team captain by his teamates which Rex never was. -Kyle seems to "get" what it takes to be a QB. He can read a defense and make the necessary adjustments which I don't recal…

Noots’ Notes-Game Two: 20-17 Loss at CarolinaBy Michael Nudo The Bears fell to 1-1 after blowing a 17-3 third quarter lead at Carolina on Sunday. The Panthers used an opportunistic defense and the hard running of Jonathan Stewart to get the job done. They let this one slip away (AP Photo/Chuck Burton). OFFENSE QuarterbackKyle Orton’s performance (19-32-149) reflected the overall Bears effort. He got off to an accurate and efficient start hitting on nine of his first thirteen passes in the first half. Orton found Brandon Lloyd for 32 yards while backed up inside his own ten yard-line. He hit Desmond Clark for 15 yards on a 2nd and long. Orton near…

from profootballtalk.com GALLOWAY LIKELY OUT FOR BUCS Posted by Michael David Smith on September 17, 2008, 5:10 p.m. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Joey Galloway is likely to miss Sunday’s game at Chicago, PewterReport.com is reporting. Galloway suffered an ankle injury in the Bucs’ Week 2 win against the Falcons and was unable to practice today. The loss of Galloway, who has started both of Tampa Bay’s regular season games after missing all of training camp and the preseason with a groin injury, would likely mean Antonio Bryant would move to split end and Michael Clayton would start at flanker. Clayton, who had a great rookie year in 2004 but has …

I'm going to get ripped, and even I'm confused as to why I'm making this thread. 1. Derek Anderson hasn't looked too good, but they are paying him $10 million a year, and I don't think they'll be paying him that riding the pine. 2. Orton is a back-up QB in the NFL (just a starter here, and a few other places). If we are going to suck, we might have a top 10 pick anyways, and we may as well start rebuilding by picking up Brady. 3. With CW coming back as soon as possibly week 12 this year, draft another OT in the 1st round (or an OG) and he'll have a young line. 4. It probably won't take a 1st round pick anymore, it might just take a 2nd and a 4th, maybe a 4th ne…

per Profootballtalk.com: GRIESE IS THE GUY IN TAMPA Posted by Mike Florio on September 16, 2008, 10:37 a.m. To little surprise, Brian Griese is now the starting quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And Jeff Garcia isn’t. Griese led the Bucs to a 24-9 win over the Falcons in their Week Two home opener. Garcia quarterbacked the team during a 24-20 road loss to the Saints in Week One. “You know what? He warrants being a starting quarterback in the league, period,” coach Jon Gruden said of Griese. “With that said, we don’t anticipate any changes at that position this week.” So what is Garcia’s role moving forward? On Sunday, he was the thi…
