  3. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,3462831.story Brian Urlacher wouldn't bite when asked about a personal milestone he'll likely reach Thursday night. But as someone with a sense of history of the Bears, and specifically their middle linebackers, he knows what it will mean when he passes Hall of Famer Mike Singletary to become the franchise's all-time leading tackler. Urlacher has 1,484 and needs only four to overtake Singletary, a 10-time Pro Bowl selection. So what does it mean for the 32-year-old Urlacher, who's in his 11th season? "It probably means Lance (Briggs) is going to pass me in a couple years," he said. Briggs is fourth on…

I'm in agreement with Pioli here, the Bears made a fair offer, Urlacher and his people tried to embarrass the team into doing more and in the end, he's got to be regretting the way he tarnished his reputation by going out this way. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...cher-situation/

  6. From Profootballtalk.com URLACHER ON HIS CRITICS: ‘THEY DON’T KNOW FOOTBALL’ Posted by Aaron Wilson on January 1, 2009, 6:26 p.m. Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher unleashed a personal blitz package after being knocked by critics who questioned whether his game is slipping, lashing out after the Bears didn’t make the playoffs and he was only voted as a third Pro Bowl alternate for the NFC squad. “I’m tired of criticism that is unwarranted,” Urlacher told the Chicago Tribune. “People who say stuff about me, they don’t know our defense. They don’t know football. Yes, I wish I would have made a lot more big plays. Obviously, everyone could say…

Brian Urlacher wants to deliver knockout blow to Minnesota Vikings By Sean Jensenon November 11, 2010 2:25 PM | Permalink | Comments (2) | TrackBacks (0) Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher recognizes that his team has a unique opportunity Sunday at Soldier Field. The rival Minnesota Vikings are coming to town, and the 3-5 team is desperate for a win. Does he want to bury the Vikings? "I hope so," Urlacher said. "I think 3-6 would be tough to come back from. The NFC's wide open but it'd be tough to come back from that. "That said, it's going to be tough to get them to 3-6. They're playing better, they came back and won in the fourth quarter, but we …

There were a few wondering why Urlacher could not play with a cast, like we have seen some other players do with certain injuries. I found the article linked below very informative and was definitely worth reading. Urlacher Praises Bears' Medical Team

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...-marinelli.html I know many of you will post the disdain you have for having the same defense that Lovie wants but maybe with the players recently added and those coming off injury, things could work out for the better. I like that Urlacher is looking forward to the upcoming season and having Peppers on his team.

Per the Tribune and Pro Football Talk, Urlacher is saying that the report in the Sun-Times is false. He stated that he never threatened to quit or be traded,a nd that he wants to stay in Chicago. He also said that the Bears have offered a one-year extension and that his agents are great and working on a deal for him. He also stated that his neck and back are feeling fine and that he is rehabbing well.

  15. Started by adam,

Urlacher makes a pretty strong case to re-sign him. I thought his wording was interesting. He seems to understand that to stay on this team, he is going to have to take a pay cut. I wouldn't mind bringing him back for a 2-year incentive laden deal. This would allow us to focus the draft on other needs. I would assume that the old adage applies here; "no news is good news" but just wanted to see if any of you "locals" had heard anything more on Urlacher's status and his calf. Would figure that it shouldn't affect him too much but these days, who knows? I say keep him out for the rest of Preseason, regardless. Let Roach get some more reps in.
