Wow, first off, I love Brandon Staley. Did anyone else see the Chargers Raiders game? If they tied, both would make the playoffs due to IND's loss. Well LAC scored a last-second TD and forced overtime (they didn't go for 2). Then in OT they swapped FGs and with the game tied and the Raiders at the LAC39 with 38 seconds left (and a running clock), Staley called a timeout. It was clear to everyone in the world that the Raiders were content to run out the clock and take a tie. It would've been a 56 yard FG from there and the risk of a block or something bad happening was too high. They even said this after the game. They were actually going to take a knee! So…

All he had to do was beat Jacksonville in a meaningless game for them, and he burps a fart. I still can't believe the Colts missed the playoffs. The Bears are no different than the Chargers, Colts, Ravens, Browns, Saints or Vikings, they all missed the playoffs. Just a crazy sequence to end the season and the Bears benefit from so many bad teams winning, boosting their draft slot a few places. So back to Indy, when is Chris Ballard going to get any bad press? Wentz was their answer, just like Rivers was before. The Colts traded the 16th pick in the 2022 draft for Wentz, they missed the playoffs, and owe Wentz 103M. Philly relieved themselves of Wentz, made the …

  3. Bears at Vikings, no Fields. Both teams playing for pride? It would be such a Bear thing to do, so Bears 23-17.

Jim Harbaugh was a pretty good coach for the 49ers. He took a 6-10 team that hadnt finished above 8-8 in eight years and did this: 2011 (13-3) Lost NFC Championship game in overtime to the Giants 20-17 2012 (11-4-1) Lost Super Bowl to Ravens 34-31 2013 (12-4) Lost NFC Championship game to Seattle 23-17 2014 (8-8) Did not go to the playoffs. Fired after the 2014 season. QB Colin Kaepernick goes on to a record of 3-16 after Harbaugh leaves. Harbaugh's 49ers record including playoffs is 49-22-1 (68%) At Michigan, Harbaugh is 61-24 (71.8%) 2015 (10-3) Won Citrus Bowl 41-7 over Florida Gators 2016 (10-3) Lost Orange Bowl 33-…

So it looks like the Falcons may try to move Calvin Ridley. He is going into his 5th year option year, and will have a $11.1M cap hit next year. The Falcons have $11M in cap space, but with only 30 players signed. They have some terrible contracts. Deion Jones has a cap hit of $20M with $24M in dead money. Immovable. Matt Ryan? $48M cap hit with $40M in dead money. Jake Matthews? $23.6M with $19.5M in dead money. The easy cut is Grady Jarrett, instead of $23.8M cap hit, they can save $16.5M by cutting him. That is all but guaranteed. So if they take the Jarrett cap space, they will have $27.5M for 22 players. Still not much wiggle room. Moving someone like Ridley wo…

I get that they are 13-3 but come on. The guy is 9th in passing yards and tied for 3rd in TD passes. His stats are closer to Cousins than Brady, Stafford, Herbert, Burrow or Mahomes. Look at how close these are. If Rodgers isn't protected by officials, he has a few more INTs and a few less TDs. He would basically have Cousins stats without the refs: Rodgers 352-513, 68.6%, 3977 yds, 7.8 Y/A, 35 TD, 4 INT Cousins 358-539, 66.4%, 3971 yds, 7.4 Y/A, 30 TD, 7 INT One is a slam dunk MVP candidate who constantly gets bailed out by officials and one is an average QB at best? Do people even watch the games anymore? If anyone deserves it, it is Jonathan Tayl…

Just need to do a quick recognition of Robert Quinn and his historic sack total. To think his highest number (19) was achieved during the 2013 (almost 9 years ago!!) season that’s pretty incredible. And while achieving this year’s record he also logged his 100th career sack. Congratulations Robert.

If Nagy is the coach the rest of the season. I agree with Wanny, who said last night you can fire Matt Nagy but what is your plan to replace him and who will be executing that plan. Who is going to be hiring the next head coach? Do you want George and Ted to do that? Ryan Pace? Figure out the plan at the upper level management and then move forward. Peace

  10. Started by adam,

What are your thoughts about Justin Fields? Is he the real deal, or is he another Ohio State QB? DVOA has him 30th with -29.3%, QBR has him dead last (31st) with 25.2. His QB Rating is 73.2. Those all are historically low and rarely do QBs improve significantly in any of these metrics. They do improve, but even with normal improvement, he would only get to fringe starter, which is somewhat alarming. So is he capable of improving his DVOA from -29.3% to something like +10%? That would be a 40% increase, which rarely happens. DVOA rarely fluctuates more than 20-25% season to season. So 40% would be massive for one season. In the same offense, with a smaller s…

There are only a few spots left in the playoffs going into the last week. In the NFC, SF is 9-7 and NO is 8-8. SF has to beat LAR to get in. NO has to beat ATL and have SF lose to get in. Odds are in favor of NO here. If that happens, it will 4 out of 5 seasons out of the playoffs for Shanahan who still has a losing record as a coach. I don't get all the love he gets. His offense has regressed from the 2019 to now and technically he has more playmakers. In the AFC, IND is 9-7 and needs to win vs JAX next week to get in. They can still get in with a loss as long as LVR loses to LAC and PIT loses one of their next two. My assumption is IND wins making LAC vs LVR …

  12. Bears look to go 2-0 in their last two weeks. This will likely be Nagy's last home game. I am assuming the Giants will be sending out our friend Mike Glennon. If that is the case, Quinn will have team record for sacks within the first two drives. If you thought the Bears team was bad, the Giants are worse. They only have 1 win on the road and have lost their last 4 and 5 out of the last 6. They have failed to score 14 pts in 5 of their last 6. I have a feeling this will be the Bears biggest win of the season, 31-13.

Every year it seems the schedule provides a 1-2 game swing per season. Even with the same team, you can see the fluctuations. The Bears were 8-8 and are going to go 6-11 or 7-10 (a 1.5 to 2.5 game swing from last year) who faced one of the toughest schedules in the league. I see the same thing happening next year back to the positive. The NFC North gets the AFC East and NFC East next year. The Bears also get the extra home game next year. A bad year next year is 9 wins (DET x2, MIN, WFT, MIA, NYG, NYJ, ATL, and HOU) with other winnable games against PHI and MIN. The toughest games are obviously GB x2, BUF, NE, DAL, and SF. However, an improved Bears team should win…

Both Godwin and Gallup tore their ACLs in the last few weeks. The WR FA market is going to be crazy thin and overpriced. The Bears are going to need to go mid-tier so they don't break the bank on a mediocre player. Mike Williams is now the healthiest and will probably get the biggest contract.

I just watched this "press conference" and Nagy's body language is terrifying. If you saw this raccoon suffering in the road, you'd be a good guy and put it out of its misery. I know that the press conference was virtual, and without an audience to remind him he's being watched, he might have felt like he was on a phone call, and forget to control his body. So if not a guy cracking, at least an honest moment then. But this guy is so shifty, he keeps scratching his neck. His beard is getting longer. He keeps shifting his weight. His eyes are all over the place. He repeats "next man up" "focus on the positive" at one point he had to say "next coach up" in regards to th…

Foles starting, no Fields, Ifedi in, Borom out. Nagy doesn't care, so why should we? What is absolutely mind-boggling is the Bears still have a chance to finish with the worst record in the NFL. After a 3-2 start, they are 1-8 in their last 9 games. Their only win was a 16-14 nail-biter on Thanksgiving against Detroit. JAX will prevent that from happening, but man it is close. JAX and NYJ face off this week. The loser basically gets the first pick. At 2-11-1, if DET wins 2 of their last 3, they could finish 4-12-1 and if the Bears lose out, 4-13. That would be hilarious at this point. Detroit plays ATL, then SEA, then GB (who will be resting starters). I mo…
