Steelers at home only favored by 6.5 is shocking. That's only 3.5 pts on neutral field which means Vegas thinks this game will be closer than the SF game where the Bears were underdogs at home. There is a chance that Mack and Monty will be back. Borom now has a full week under his belt. I am not confident that the Bears can get a win outside of playing DET, NYG, and MIN. So this is probably a loss unless Fields takes another step in his development. The defense was literally a wet paper bag last week. If they are not better, it is going to be a long night. Steelers 31-24 Bears defense still bad, Bears offense a little better (3 TDs).

Just had his worst two games of his career back to back these last two weeks: He now has 10 INTs in 8 games (leads the league), and is on pace for 20+. The most he has ever thrown in a season was 12, and he had only thrown 11 in the last two years. He also has 2 fumbles lost for 12 turnovers (Tied for league lead with Lawrence). From reading some analyst's posts, it seems that teams have finally made an adjustment defensively to him and it is causing him major issues. For all the Trubisky talk, Mahomes may not actually be the GOAT after all. What is funny is this is who I thought he would be coming out of college. A guy that can throw 400+ with 5 TDs one…

They also have the 6th pick from themselves. Two top 10 picks is a great position to be in. Bears will pick 40th for their first pick (currently).

Monty has one more year on his rookie deal and has been very solid for the Bears over the last two years. I can't wait to get him back in the lineup where the Bears will have a real 1-2 punch in Monty and Herbert. Thru last week, with Monty missing a few games, their stats are very similar but they are completely different runners: Monty 69-309, 4.5 Y/A, 6-49. Herbert 58-279, 4.8 Y/A, 7-48. If Herbert keeps this up, and looks legit in a small sample size, the Bears will have to decide if they want to extend Monty, which seemed like a no-brainer just a few weeks ago. Now, I don't know. If Herbert is running this good and you can bring in a true fullback…

I have a feeling this SF game will determine a lot. A loss should make them sellers. However, even with a win, I would still look to move any of the following players: 1. ARob - The Bears will get a 2023 comp pick for him, probably a 3rd or 4th, but that can be negated by acquiring FAs, so the guaranteed compensation is thru a trade now. Take a 4th or 5th in 2022 if you can get it. He has been basically a waste of a roster spot s WR1. Bring up Adams or Thompson and see what happens. 2. Foles - To get anything for him and some cap relief that can carry over to next year makes sense. Obviously, you can only move one of the two backup QBs. 3. Jackson - This would b…

Funny that this game is on Halloween because it is going to be scary bad. It's pretty telling that a 2-4 team is favored on the road against a 3-4 team. Vegas has zero faith in the Bears. SF is reeling, having lost 4 straight. Their wins are over PHI and DET. This is a bad team. There is no reason the Bears should lose or be underdogs at home against a team like this. Jimmy G has been terrible and they have literally one player on offense you need to worry about, Deebo Samuel. He has more receiving yards than the rest of the team combined. He has more yards and TDs than ARob and Mooney combined. This is a must-win. If you lose to 2-4 team at home for a 3rd str…

Good morning. I’m not capable of sharing anything new but my own perspective. We’ve had two games back to back against the elite teams of the league. While we were missing some vital players yesterday I don’t think the presence of Quinn and Hicks would have significantly altered the results. So the baseline has been established and looking at it I find our team lacking significantly. Since Ryan Pace arrived the Bears have been 39-48. Can anyone tell me that they feel the foundation of this team has been established(O and D lines)? I submit that this team has been average to mediocre since his arrival and there has been no ascension- I think 2018 was an outlier. Without a …

So I’m perusing multiple media site; the growing sentiment is that this season is strictly about Fields’ development. Article upon article mainly focusing on his week to week growth. I’m starting to feel like the narrative is that a losing season is acceptable as long as Justin develops. I’m not sure this sits well with me. Pace and Nagy should be held for the collective performance.Nagy on delivery of yet another lower third offense, not acceptable if you are hired with a background on that side of the ball. Pace for continuing to ignore the trenches, which is the foundation for winning programs. I fear George is going to buy this storyline and just chalk the season up t…

At what point, if at all, would the Bears consider going back to Dalton? Feels like Fields is getting hit like crazy, unable to make the quick read, and while there are many reasons for it - performances like the Browns game and Bucs game are so bad that it is hard to generate any learning from those moments...in fact it can be the opposite, too much of this can break a player. I'm worried it is trending in that direction and I honestly think the Bears were right about fact that Fields should sit for a while. Yes, at some point he has to learn on the field, but it is pretty clear that there are certain skills that are lacking and the system has not been designed t…

It's widely known that I want to clean house, sooner than later, so I've come up with my dream team. Ted Phillips - CEO. Phillips had been instrumental in making great financial deals for the team. With the new property and stadium in the future, it is key that he remain in the forefront. With this new role, he'll no longer make football related decisions. Bill Polian - President of football operations. Polian was NFL exec of the year 6 times with three different teams. All three teams were built up from the rubble and appeared multiple Superbowl. (Seven I think) Polian is 78 so he may choose to stay retired. If we could get him for 2 years to establish t…

This is a tale of polar opposites. The #1 Passing team in the league (TB) vs the 32nd Passing team in the league (CHI). TB is also the #1 rushing defense. So it is: TB Passing #1 vs CHI Pass Def #8, TB Rushing #28 vs CHI Rush Def #16 CHI Passing #32 vs TB Pass Def #27, CHI Rushing #7 vs TB Rush Def #1 So in a way, it is strength vs strength and weakness vs weakness. Bears lead the league in sacks with 21. TB only has 12. TB has 7 INTs, the Bears have 4 (thanks Jackson). TB has beaten ATL, NE, MIA, and PHI, and lost to LAR. So they really haven't beaten a team with more than 2 wins. In contrast, the Bears have beaten CIN and LVR, both at …

Would anyone be opposed to elevating Desai to HC? This guy is just so much more credible than Nagy or even Pace. The consensus is the players like him and based on his comments, he holds guys accountable.

This is a winnable game for the Bears. The Packers lucked into a win against the Bengals two weeks removed from doing the same thing against SF. This will be Fields' 3rd game with Lazor as the play callers. At this point we should start seeing improvement from him and the offense overall. Hopefully Hicks is back for this one. Davante Adams now has 42 receptions on the year for 579 yards. He accounts for almost 50% of their passing offense, which is bonkers. If you can limit Adams, like the Saints did, you win easily because it looks like Rodgers throws to Adams regardless of the situation. Out of 163 attempts, Rodgers has targeted Adams 66 times. If possible, I…

This was a tough one. QB - C-, I know he is a rookie and he didn't get time with the 1s, but at some point, we should see a bigger step forward. He had a higher yards per carry than yards per attempt in the passing game. I can't tell if this is Fields or Nagy's crap offense at this point. Just like Mitch, he has to learn to just throw the ball away instead of taking a sack, especially when he is getting wrapped up. I thought his biggest improvement was his scrambling as he had a career high on the ground with 43 yards. However, he took 4 sacks and at least two were totally on him. RB - A, Herbert was 19-97 and a TD on the ground and caught 2 for 15. He had a 2…

Sunday Night Football Real football is finally here. Last year, the Rams beat the Bears 24-10 in Week 7 in Chicago. The offense had 3 points in that game. Foles had 2 INTs and was sacked 4 times. If Dalton starts, it is hard to see how we passed the Rams in the offseason, as they gained Stafford, and lost Goff and Akers (who didn't play against the Bears). So to me, if Dalton plays the entire game, the Bears lose by double digits. If Fields plays at least a half, we have a shot. Either way, I have this one as a loss. Prove me wrong Bears.

I’ve not found any updates on our two rookie tackles; I thought Borom was eligible to return after the Detroit game. Anyone have an update? Thanks in advance!
