Now that's 2007 is over and 2008 is here what do we do as far as our team goes on offense? Well I know what I would do if I was in charge. Starting with FA I would make a big push to upgrade the Oline. I would move Tait back to RT and try to land either Locklear from the Seahawks or Starks from the Steelers saying goodbye to Miller & Metcalf. At Guard we need to get Faneca and get rid of Garza Brown is old too. Draft a guard to fight it out with Beekman and maybe we could Draft either Otah from Pitt,Clady from Bosie State or Baker from USC and try them at guard. Now in the backfeild we need to get a guy who can run because Benson is just slow to the outside. Turner w…

I hate him almost as much as I hate Dan Snyder. No way the Cowboys were going to beat the Packers anyway (sorry to say). Can't wait to see the Pack get destroyed in the SB (they will beat NY). Peace

I personally like how Mayock breaks down players and prospects on the NFL Network. Here is what he has to say on some of the Top OL prospects. Posted: 01/10/2008 Michigan's Long leads a strong senior class of OTs By Mike Mayock | NFL Network http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d...mp;confirm=true The senior offensive line class is a study in contrasts. The interior offensive linemen are unusually weak, while the tackle position offers quality and depth along with some interesting wild cards. Ben Liebenberg / NFL.com USC's Sam Baker must demonstrate more consistency and toughness if he hopes to become an elite prospect. 1. …

I have a frined that went to Wheaton that swears this guy will end up being a darn good LB in the NFL. Seems like a decent enough prospect in the late rounds... Does anyone have any info or insight? http://condraft.com/database/division-iii/...aker/index.html

It's still very early, but if the draft were tomorrow, how do you see it panning out? 1-Miami~~~~~Chris Long DE Virginia Miami will look to get out of the first pick to aquire more picks to re-tool. Chris Long DE, fits Parcells 3-4 defense, so they may reach a little here if no trade partners are out there. 2-St. Louis~~~Glenn Dorsey DT LSU Many people are saying St. Louis grabs Jake Long to replace Orlando Pace at LT, but they drafted Alex Barron a couple of years ago to fill that roll. The Rams defense is in a dire need of a run stopper and Dorsey is that man. 3-Atlanta~~~~Darren McFadden RB, ARK Arthur B…

Looking at some of the talk about Mendenhall entering the draft, I got to wondering. What sort of RB do we want to add to the team to compete w/ Benson. Now, I know some of you want to simply write Benson out of the picture, but I do not believe that is the teams plans. So assume for this argument we are simply looking to add competition for Benson. Do we wan to add a RB similar to Benson? I am talking about style. A north/south runner that has size and can run well up the middle. Or do we look for more of a speedy, shifty back that is known for catching as well as receiving? I know Jason would like to add a homerun hitter, but is that the sort of RB we …

Hester was the only Bear to make it. Surprised some others didn't even make 2nd team honors. No Briggs or Harris. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true

I figured I'd throw out what I think we'll happen. It's pretty damn boring right now. Other then rooting for the Patriots to lose, there's not much to look forward to until free agency begins around the first of March, and then then draft which begins April 26th. : #1: Angelo will do exactly what he said (which is about like interpretting the Bible at times, but that being said . . . ) #2: He will try to sign all our free agents: IMO JA has a set $$ amount, & when guys like Rex & Briggs get better offers--they gone. #3: RB will be priority #1--He seems pissed about our RB's. He'll break the bank for Turner. If not him, Jones or Fargas. #4: Orton…

According to SI.com former Bears coach Jim Dooley died at age 77. Man, he had Butkus and Sayers on the team and they went 1-13 in 1969. He also was an assistant under Ditka. R:I.P "When Jim was first drafted, he called ... Coach Halas and said, `What's my bonus?"' Elaine Dooley recalled. "Halas said, `Your bonus is you're drafted for the Chicago Bears."'

Arthur Blank...Look at where the last 2 organizations that have hired big time college coaches who move along for the money have wound up...you and the Dolphins. STAY AWAY. He'll come up, lose for a year or two, and then be right back being worshipped by some big money college team in the SEC. And Carroll...you're out of your mind if you take that job, I don't care what the money says.

Unfortunately, we can shelve that pipe-dream; Mike Martz just went to the Niners. Why is it that the Bears can never get an offensive coordinator who is capable of turning the offense into a weapon feared throughout the league? Oh, wait, we had that guy, and he just got done engineering a great game to win the BCS Championship last night. (Hate how un-Bearlike it may have been, and how it put the defense in bad shape at times, he made our offense a threat that it hasn't been since, and hadn't been for some time before.) Look forward to seeing Turner next year.

With Joe Gibbs gone from DC,,,, and it appears Cowher will be the first 10 million dollar coach..... Greg Williams may be out of a job in DC. Given the very so-so 1st year Babich had... and since he is still unproven.... I would think Greg Williams would be a large upgrade as defensive cooridator. Most of his defensives have rated very highly, his one bad year in 2006 he attibuted to offenses figuring out the cover 2 and he spent the off-season making adjustments. He also had a bad 2006 since he started the year with Adam Archuletta starting at saftey. Williams gets points for figuring out to bench Archuletta a year before the Bears flew him in and popped open the cha…
