The Bears will be good this year, not great. At QB, I see a solid competition between the two QB's bringing out the best in one of them. I still think it'll be Grossman but I could be wrong. Frankly, the reason I'm leaning Grossman at this time is because I think he let his success in 2006 get to him a bit in 2007. He was constantly thinking, the Bears are "dissing me" by not signing me up long term for a new big money deal. Like the New Years Eve Game, he took his eye off the prize, didn't show the required amount of pride in being his best at all times, and regressed. It appears nobody wants TO. Nobody attended his workout (where he looked like a beast despite recovering from a huge injury in very minimal time). He is still, even at his age and even with recent injuries, probably better than any WR on the roster. What is the downside to signing him to a low-base, incentive-filled contract? In watching past games with the Bears against the Saints Bentley looked very good. Now I don't know how good he is after being injuried but he was good in the past. This brings me to our Oline. Can he play guard? Yes he can. But the qustion is do we need him? We drafted Adams and we have Garza, Metcalf Beekman,Balogh, Barton and Oakley in the roster. After watching last years line I still think Garza is weak on the right side at RG, Metcalf look better playing on the right side than the left and we don't know what we have in the other players. Whether it is weakness, passiveness, being too nice, whatever it is, they need to clean house and start fresh while Caleb is still on his rookie deal. I would fire Poles, the entire coaching staff, and other staffers that have bred this losing culture over the past 3 years.
