Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. Here we go. I don't think I would ever imagine that I would be talking about the 9-3 1st Place Chicago Bears playing the 8-3-1 Green Bay Packers in Week 14, but here we are. This is going to be another weather game with game time temps in the teens, chance of snow and some light wind. Until this team loses, it is hard to bet against them right now. I am going to say 24-20 Bears in another one-score game.

The only history we have to look at is Paces moves last year and what he is saying about this years FAgency Last year he signed 15 free agents. McPhee got 5 year 39 mil. ( the only large money deal) I think he does the same situation this year. One big money guy and several 3 year 15 mil. type deals. I think he grabs Trevathan for like 5 year 40 mil deal. I think he grabs Jeff Allen for 4 year 20 mil. I think he grabs David Burton/SS/Den ( he played under Fox and has played well in a backup role, a ascending player) I think we resign Jenkins as a rotational DE player. I think we sign Robert Ayers/DE ( he played under Fox and can be g…

I thought it would be fun to do a weekly or bi-weekly draft poll. I used Walterfootball.com to give us a choice of where they have them ranked. Walterfootball has decent rankings and they update every Thursday. Tomorrows version should be interesting to see where players shift to since the combine. I might post Talk Bears Mock version II over the weekend once the mock draft web pages all get updated. My votes as of today: Michael Johnson DE, Brian Robiskie WR, Donald Brown RB b/c they all were awesome at the combine. (Jarius Byrd was very close, but I hope David Bruton FS Notre Dame is there w/ the BB comp pick)

  7. I've restarted the FFL2 from last year. If you were in the league last year, please register. That way we will know how many slots we have to fill for the season. Also, we can change it to a keeper league if people are interested, and the draft time can be changed if the date selected doesn't work for a bunch of people.

I have been a proponent of this idea for quite some time. I'm all about winning over looking good. I wouldn't mind a Super Bowl win with a team of "bad guys". With that said, the Bears should go after TO. The Cowboys are in turmoil. TO is causing trouble (what's new?). And you know J.Jones is itching to do something to "fix" the team. I know he just signed a big deal, but he's as legit a #1 WR as there is in the NFL. You want a #1? Are you serious about it? Well, there you have it. He's a player who might be had for the right price. Suppose it's a first rounder and another pick in a future draft. Do you pull the trigger? How much do you r…

  12. Prime Time Game, on the road. Hard to see anyway the Bears win this but Indy did give HOU fits all game and kept it close. I hope the defense can continue it's solid play but if they allowed 17 to TEN then that is probably high 20s to HOU. The offense has to play better all around. Stick to the run game, get Kmet involved, and more presnap motion. This was always a loss for me, so I will say HOU 27-20.

    - 1st string defense was embarassing. You don't let a crappy team like KC drive the ball down your throat. - Forte looked good. I think we will be happy with him. - Both Orton and Grossman just looked ok. I hope someone stands out next week. - Special team penalties killed us. - Wolfe re-enforced my belief he can be a very good 3rd down back. - Hanie locked up the 3rd string QB role in my opinion. I really liked his poise. - The offensive line actually did ok. I pray they do not bring back Fred Miller. I would rather have St Clair at LT. - Bennett should not be returning kickoffs or punts. Toub must be on crack. I will hav…

from profootballtalk.com Garrett Wolfe to miss remainder of season Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 20, 2009 9:45 AM ET It would be hard for the Bears rushing attack to get much worse, but it just took another body blow. Backup Garrett Wolfe will miss the rest of the season with a lacerated kidney, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times. The injury was learned about two weeks ago, but there was some hope he could return this season. "He's a great kid and it's unfortunate,'' Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo said. ``I was hoping he would start integrating more into the offense and [offensive coordinator] Ron [Turner] was using him more in practices…

It seems to me Angelo is on a mission. He has been extremely active this offseason, picking up 3 OLmen, A Pro Bowl caliber QB, tries to go after Boldin during the draft, now picks up Gaines, picked up a few other backups for DBs, and seems to have the cap space and motivation to add a few more players before the season starts. This is about as good as it gets for Bears fans. I can't wait for the next acquisition. I would not be surprised to see a few more signings before camp opens up in July.

Start with the injury report: http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/12/01/i...ek-13-vs-49ers/ Trevathan is back and no longer listed on the injury report. Also looks like RRH will return. I'm hopeful he'll see the field because I still think he has good long term potential. Josh Sitton looks like he'll be a game time decision but did practice on Thur. We'll get to see the return of Lamar Houston. I think we're fortunate to pick him up this late in the season. I'm not overstating his ability but this late in the season it's almost impossible to find someone who knows your defense and can at least contribute right away. The big mystery is who will play …

What about Anthony Adams? Has he not proved a bona fide starter and potential star? That guy was a monster against the Saints and great in the previous game as well! We need a big body in the middle stopping the run, I long for the days of Ted Washington! WHY HAS THIS GUY BEEN INACTIVE FOR MOST OF THE SEASON, WHEN DD WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST FOR MOST OF THE TIME HE HAS PLAYED? I am more and more suspicious that if you are not a JA/LS ass-licker that you do not hit the field....is that why Bradley is gone as well?
