Fantatstic news. I can't be happier about the Bears finally getting someone signed. He's had injury concerns but should be a nice guy to have around to ensure that the Bears are able to ease Forte into his career. He is obviously returning very quickly from an ACL injury so I think our expectations should be to hope he is able to play in one preseason game and can work his way up to being a 10-15 carry a guy for the Bears by about the 3rd week of the season (which is just perfect cause that should help shelter Forte enough to prevent him from hitting some sort of rookie wall by week 12).

The draft is over and the Bears did not address QB until afterwards with Hanie and Hill. Let's discuss what they should do now. My thoughts: - Rex and Kyle are going to battle it out for starter. Whomever wins out gets extended if they succeed. - Wait for FA Qbs to hit the market from teams like Tampa (Simms, McCown, and Gradkowski may all be released) and bring in a 3rd stringer. - Put Hill and Hanie both on the practice squad. We have 8 spots and 1 to 2 should be devoted to QB going forward. Going forward, the Bears should bring in an asst QB coach (we have an asst DB coach, why not one for our most important position). Just realized that tonight, I made the 53 man roster. Now I have two questions. First, where is my money. If I do not get my guaranteed check in the mail, I will have no alternative other than to hire Rosenarce to represent me. Second, just curious, as it got me wondering, what post numbers equal vaiours levels. After 53 man roster, do you have starter? Then pro bowl? League MVP? Hall of fame? Just curious? Unless Crackerdog returns, I doubt I can make the next level, at least not this month , but I am curious.

Crazy what two weeks can do. After the GB game, this was a potential flex game that was going to move into primetime with potential playoffs implications (assuming we came in at 7-6 and MIN at 8-5). Well MIN is 8-5....... It is amazing that we could've been one game up on every other potential playoff team other than MIN and SEA (non-Division leaders) coming into this game at 7-6. Now we are 5-8 and playing for draft position. With very little to play for, it is hard for me to see a close game. MIN 27 - CHI 13

The Bears traded a conditional 7th rounder for K Eddie Pineiro I remember reading about him in the draft a couple years ago. I read an article on Sports Mockery with the suggestion that next year we could let go of Fuller. The opinion was based on his cap hit and the fact that if they do not have fans in the stands this year the cap number will go down by 12 mil instead of going up. We would save 11 mil against the cap if we would let him go next year. So if we have to cut some of our star players, who would go first? All the falcons needed was a field goal and he decides that his injury obliterated Defense is going to be the better tool even in a more difficult position disadvantage then their Special Teams on a routine play. The players made tons of mistakes throughout the game but they still brought him the lead with 11 seconds left. He was not tired or hurt when he made that mistake he was just dumb.

I thought it would be fun to do a weekly or bi-weekly draft poll. I used Walterfootball.com to give us a choice of where they have them ranked. Walterfootball has decent rankings and they update every Thursday. Tomorrows version should be interesting to see where players shift to since the combine.
