You are in the war room and Mike Adams and Michael Floyd are available at the 19th pick. What's your pick. I would take Floyd over Adams because I believe he is a higher rated prospect than Adams but Floyd can't get the ball if Cutler is on his back.

I think it was slightly above average with a few intriguing players. We could potentially see 4 impact players or as low as 1. I really don't count on the 6th or 7th rounders to do much other than provide depth or PS material.

This is a point to agure with the Packers, Lions and Vikings but with the Bears trading for Marshall and drafting Jeffrey and having Bennett and Hester, with Knox and Thomas we seem to have a better core of players than the other three. Now this maybe is just IMHO the start of the Bears getting back in control of the Division. I know these can be taken with a grain of salt, but there are some good stats in there beyond the grades. Some of the grades actually pass the eye test. I find it interesting that the top 3 offensive players in PFF for the Bears are on the OL, Wright, Jones, and Jenkins, and all the OL are higher than Williams, Kmet, Odunze, Allen, and Swift. The only offensive skill players higher than Shelton and Pryor are Moore and Roschon. The good thing is the worst starter, (according to PFF), is Swift at a 62.0, which means every starter is above average (60.0). Who is your sleeper pick at #10? Who is no one talking about, but could be a selection at #10? I am going to say Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss. He is ranked between 13-32 in pretty much every mock but to me, seems a little underrated. Why Nolen? He is the most physically gifted DT, had high production, and graded out as one of the best DTs in 2024. He also fits Dennis Allen's scheme and is an ideal size for a 3T. He could also be a trade-down option if the Bears stay in the teens. What are your thoughts?

This is excellent news. We really are going to be a team for several years. Edwards has been playing very well. I wonder how long Edmunds will stick around, we are paying him a fortune. He's got all the measurables, but his production has been lacking. Maybe the new scheme and coaches will unlock him, otherwise, his days could be numbered - probably after this year. It gets very cheap to cut him next year.

Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers

Not that I think he's any good, but it is still miidly surprising. This coupled with the facts that 1. Leno sucks and 2. they just added a guy who is probably better suited at OG leads me to believe Kyle Long will be the starting RT this year.

Considering that Slasson hasn't played center much in his career he did a nice job on short notice with one bad snap and one bad exchange. Charles Leno Jr wasn't a train wreck at left tackle and Omameh wasn't awful either. Kyle Long and Ducasse seem to be settling in on the right side. Going forward I hope our 3rd round draft pick is ready to start his career since Montgomery has a broken bone in his leg( tibia?) which is an extended period injury and may signal the start of the Grasu era, if not Slausson seemed okay and I like the thought of a center with size in the middle. I sure do like what I see from Tremaine Edmunds. If he is in the middle, I think he can do a lot of things for us, and Fangio would know just how to use him. In zone defense, he'd be another Urlacher, and imagine how much more effective that would be when we arent in cover 2 all the time. In man, he clearly has the skills to stay with TEs and even slot receivers. In this day and age of college running QBs, he is a spy too. He has the speed and tackling ability to shut that down in a hurry. And hes long enough for pass rush and as sure an open field tackler as Ive ever seen. He would be an excellent chess piece for Fangio.

Strength vs Strength, Our Defense vs Their Offense I think this comes down to which Fitzpatrick shows up. He started to turn the ball over last week, which bodes well for us. However, Fitz has over double the passing yards than Trubisky in the same amount of games and only 6 more completions. 410 passing yards per game seems unsustainable, so Fitz should trend down from that high.
