Hey everyone. Been out of the picture for some time. Work banned this site (actually expected me to work!) and life just got busy so little time at home to chat. BUT the block at work seems to be off, and nice timing with the season set to begin. So a hello and shoutout to all my old Bear Buds.

Can you imagine a scenario where DL goes hot and heavy before the Bears pick? 1. TB – Jameis Winston, QB, FSU 2. TEN – Leonard Williams, DT/DE, USC 3. JAX – Dante Fowler, DE, FLA 4. OAK – Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, NEB 5. WAS – Danny Shelton, NT, WAS 6. NYJ – Marcus Mariotta, QB, ORE What then? My thought here is, do the Bears take the 4th best pass rusher with the #7 pick in the draft? I don't like that idea. Assuming no trade down possibilities, I'm thinking they have to go Bama with either Collins or Cooper.

Honestly, the game against the Giants was the worst performance by an OL in perhaps the history of the NFL. Let that sink in. The HISTORY of the NFL. If the Bears do not draft OL multiple times in the first four rounds, then it's the most incompetent front office in the NFL.

Once he got the rust knocked off, Barkley looked pretty damn good. I think he is definitely in contention next year...provided he doesn't totally blow up before the seasons over. Now the receivers... Nother story.

I think it's time. I wore a Butkus jersey yesterday and felt embarrassed that the team on the field was wearing the same uniform. I can't do it. I cannot tarnish the greats and the memory of Papa Bear by supporting this nonsense. This team..I will say it. ...IS NOT THE BEARS. There is nothing Bear-ish about them. They are a disgrace to the uniform. With that said, here's how I (if anyone's morbidly interested in knowing) will be handling my support... 1. I will not attend a Bears game until we have a new HC, GM and QB. No more of my money to line the coffers of the McCaskeys. And note, the HC, GM and QB must not be jokes. They must be legit…

And that Lovie has surrounded himself with "yes" men. Ten wins, though, will make him look alot better, given all the prognosticators at the start of the season that had us below the Lions!

Just glad it's over. I do wonder if the league will appeal. This is, however, a real indictment of the arbitrary nature of Goodell's rulings. I believe Brady was guilty as sin but if the NFL can't convince a judge to take their side, when the Commissioner is supposed to have discretion in these matters, it speaks volumes about how shitty a job he's doing.

I admit, I should just let things be and see how the chips fall, but dammit, there are deals out there being made and good guys flying off the market that we could have used! Right now, all we've done is sign a bunch of undrafted guys that'll probably amount to nothing and sign 2 draft picks that again will probablynot amount to nothing. No early round draft picks signed. No re-signing of guys or extendeding contract. No nothing in FA! Granted, it just started, but I want results now! ...sorry, had to just get that out. I know I should be patient. but I've been patient for what seems like an eternity already!

I read where Tyrod Taylor will not take a pay cut this year which will be a problem going forward for Buffalo. So I predict that they trade Taylor for a third round pick and trade up with us to get a QB. David Haugh thinks we should give it a whirl. What do you guys think? If it was Urlacher and one 3rd, I might consider it. Sure, Urlacher is still the face of the franchise and captain of the defense, but he has maybe 4 good years left in him while Boldin is right in his prime.
