For a late round pick. 6'1, 301. DT from Tampa Bay. I remember he was taken 35th overall a few drafts ago out of UCLA. Supposedly, he's a headcase. He punched a teammate last year. He's been in the NFL for 2 years, and had 0 sacks his first year and 3 last year.

Darrell Taylor. Has 21.5 sacks in the last 3 years, and 15 over the last 2. Feels like a poor man's Ngakoue. $3.1M cap hit. Low risk. 6th rounders rarely make an NFL roster, so I really don't care too much about 6th and 7th rounders if you can get guys who make the 53-man roster for them. Taylor looks like one of them.

The Bears traded a conditional 7th rounder for K Eddie Pineiro I remember reading about him in the draft a couple years ago. It's interesting, with the league making so many trades and Free Agency etc, it's fascinating how players that we think will be a good fit for the Bears in the draft that we don't get to draft, sometimes end up on the team anyway later. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/ct-spt-bears-trade-for-kicker-eddy-pineiro-20190506-story.html

I felt like this deserved its own thread. He comes over from the Pats, been in the doghouse for most of his career. This is what they were saying about him before last season: It looks like the Pats tried to have him do too much. If the Bears can shrink his responsibilities and routes, he may be more productive.

Bears making a trade with Rams for LG Jonah Jackson One of the better pulling guards if he can stay healthy. A 2025 6th round pick is it. This helps fill a need and costs a pick that would have been a developmental player at best.

They were trying to sign him last off-season but he went back to Buffalo. For a 2024 5th rounder. Poles is going to have to trade down, down to 5 picks in the draft.

Bears turn around and trade a 2nd round pick for WR Chase Claypool! Bears to get Chase Claypool in trade with Steelers Good move, IMO. Chase has caught 32 passes for 311 yards and a touchdown for the Steelers this season despite having an unstable QB room. He will be a great addition to help Fields. 17. Apparently we are making a trade for 29 yo IOL Journeyman Dan Feeney from the Dolphins. He's played OC and OG in San Diego, and then was a primary backup for the Jets. He's probably better than what we have at OC, and backup OG after Davis and Jenkins. He played every game the past two seasons for the Jets (while starting only 5 and 2 games), but started every game but one from 2017 thru 2020 for the Chargers. Here's some film break down from a couple years ago. He looks pretty good in the zone scheme, bumping the right guys, and holding up pretty well on his one on ones. This really helps. But what are we giving? Hopefully in a package with Gipson whe…

Wells was a 6th round pick in this years draft. Pats are a pretty good drafting team. Wells is freak athlete who, if coached up properly, could be a guy. Runs a 4.4. Came from a damn good Mississippi St. D. Kinda liked Groy, and the move comes with a little surprise after an Ola injury. Guess they still have Leno, Fab, and Grasu/Montgomery as backups (along with Ola when he returns).
