With all the hype about how great Rashied Davis has looked coming into camp, thinking back, is this guy MIA? If he has done anything in the first two games it must not have been too impressive for I can not remember it, or I am more senile than I suspected.

How many of his passes where made while backpedaling away from the pressure coming at him? So much for mechanics.

I posted my first draft in the fantasy forum section of the site if anyone wants to give me their opinions. Had 10th pick in a 10 team league so I had to change my usual strategy in the draft room with mixed results.

Well, my first draft had mixed results. I like all the guys but am weak at RB and will have to hope some of the guys come through for me. I am fine, IMO, at all other positions. It was a 10 round draft and I selected 10th, as usual, LOL, and RBs disappeared quickly so I decided to go the WR route for big points. What do you guys think, good, bad, or just so so? Looking pretty bad at this point. I think JA will be shopping around. Seattle's D gets good pressure on the Qb so this is a good test for the Bears OL and so far it is pretty dismal to say the least.

We do not need injuries to mount up. Hope he is ok. Checking his knee, ouch.

OK, let me get a grip on what is being said. JA sucks and should be fired; Lovie sucks and does not know how to motivate a team or coach; the coaching staff sucks and has no idea how to develop talent; the Bears are cheap and throw nickles around like man hole covers; we have no OL, QB, & WRs; Urlacher is over-rated; We should trade our talent on D to get players on O; etc... (sorry, I am getting sick trying to remember all the negatives being mentioned on this forum.....) GOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO BEGIN. Then maybe we can take a deep breath, look back at all these concerns, and come down to reality. I think the reality is that the Bears are not the team they showed last year. Last year was a disaster, but not for the reasons some think, it was because of injuries for the most part. I expect us to return to the same team we were in 2006 that went to the Super Bowl. I think we have a chance to have a better offense than the 2006 team (not a great offense, but better than 2006). I think our defense is a top 5 defense. I think our special teams is number 1 in the NFL. I think we will kick ass this year!

I suspect it will not be until next week that we see Jones or Dusty hit the field. They are being very careful with both players.

Rex Grossman needs good showing vs. Seattle An interesting article but mistitled in my opinion. It has far less to do with the title than it does with 10 topics of discussion that the author makes on issues for the Bears to face, only 1 of the 10 being Rex vs Kyle. He is definately attempting to do everything possible to turn his career around. Will it be enough? Did he wait too long to work his butt off? Unfortunately, I have a fantasy football league draft at 6:30 PM Central for a league at work so I will have to watch a recorded version after the draft is over. My guess is it is what the Bears thought of Beck in the year he was drafted. Was he high on their draft boards? Did they think he was a good QB prospect coming into the 2007 draft? Was he a player they would have targeted if available in the round they had him projected? Let's face it, the kid had little if any opportunity to develop or show his abilities in Miami. He is still basically a rookie. Unless the Bears thought very highly of him going into the 2007 draft, why would we have interest in him now?

Article about the wrap up session in training camp I would have loved to have seen this: KJ must have hit Okwo like a Mack Truck to knock his mouthpiece out. I liked what I saw in Forte last week and like what I am hearing about KJ. Could be a dynamite duo!

Article on the Bears QB situation Reading the article, along with another on the Bears Breaking Camp, I see several points: Smith saying that they would like to know before the 3rd preseason game who the starting QB would be so that it would give them time to settle in before the season starts for real. Smith saying that the starters may play even longer this week in the preseason game, quite possibly well into the 3rd quarter, I assume to give a chance to evaluate the teams starters in depth. I suspect all the speculation over who our starter will be over soon.

Crap, you and I think too much alike, I am going to have to keep a close eye on you in our leagues, LOL.

Agree with you, I always look over the FA Ds to see if there is a favorable defensive matchup to take advantage of when the D I have on my roster has a strong offensive opponent and will be hard pressed to score well against them in FF points.

From my count we have what, 23 games left to play this year? When the dust settles from those games we will see who we select with our 32nd pick of the first round. LOL

Strong starting lineup and good bench. Not sold on Dallas D fantasy wise but defenses are totally unpredictable in FF. Good luck with the team.

Hey, you never know with JA, an acute case of jock itch or an inflamed hang nail and walla, IR.

Our OL looked a-ok to me in the first preseason game. I would wait to see what we have to start with. Personally, we might be a whole lot better on the OL than many want to believe.

Grew up a Baltimore Colt fan in Delaware. Became a die hard Bears fan when I moved to the Chicago area back in 1972. Live in Loves Park, located just north of Rockford.

The only auction draft I do, kinda, is a contest run for the subscribers at footballguys.com I have never participated in one otherwise. Maybe in a few years when I retire and am looking to expand my horizons I will check them out. LOL
