  1. THAT is what we have been waiting to see! I hope that sparks his confidence...but Urlacher is hurt now...wrist injury...damn!
  2. I hate the guy but those commercials are effing hilarious!
  3. HUGE play here...I just hope Turner doesn't do a fullback dive...
  4. That would be better than another pick...Maynard is killing the ball tonight
  5. er...Sid Luckman I think...As much as we all love Jimmy Mac, his injuries stopped him from being what he should have been...And I am probably the biggest Orton homer on the board and not even I wish we hadn't made that trade...
  6. He looks rattled...very very Rex like right now. I hope they can get him settled down at halftime because this is still a winnable game thanks to our D...
  7. I think you missed the sarcasm in his post...
  8. *cough*ChrisHarris*cough*
  9. On the Bears site, JA shot this down, basically saying he is not interested no matter how much he respects Simeon. I just don't see it happening, though JA has surprised me enough this off season that I wouldn't be too shocked to see him end up here.
  10. I hope this happens. Farve is on a drastic downhill slide in terms of his play, and as said above he is just terrible at the end of the season. Let him go there, and it makes us the front runners for the NFC North, at least in reality if not in the "experts" eyes.
  11. I agree they made some improvements...but that isn't saying a whole lot when you start with a steaming pile of manure...They are still 2-3 years of great decisions and signings from being anything above mediocre, which is still an improvement over god awful
  12. Can't trade the comp pick so it has to be the other one
  13. Not only do we get Cutler but we added Pace too per PFT...wow... http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/04/02/bears-add-pace/
  14. I had to take it when I got hired for my current job...it really isn't all that bad, but you have a very limited time. I got a 42 out of 50, but I could only answer 43 of them before time ran out.
  15. I won't say anything bad about JA being an idiot for not looking at this guy, because none of us heard any peep that we were interested in Omiyale or Bullocks before they signed. Once Holt signs, and if not with us, THEN I will be pissed at JA for not being able to get a deal done with more than 20 million in cap space. Don't tell me he won't want to come here...pay him like a true #1 receiver and beat everyone else's offer and he will come here. Players look at contract size like respect...show him the respect and he will go anywhere. JA put us in this dismal position with 1 ok WR and a bunch of maybe's, has been's, and never-was', so it is up to him to get us out of it.
  16. Maybe they aren't "necessary", but neither is coming to this board. The man put a thread out there about someone at a position of need. Whether we will in reality get the player or not makes no difference. It sparks a discussion, which in this dreadfully slow offseason is something far from annoying.
  17. I tried it and he got a 99 yard TD If only our OL was as good in real life as it is in Madden...
  18. And Harrison with nothing left is still 1000% better than Davis at his "best"
  19. Were you really expecting different even if we hadn't signed Jones? I don't see the staff being smart enough to actually utilize Wolfe in a manner that will make him successful, with or without Jones.
  20. I mentioned this in another post. I really think that if we want a WR such as britt/nicks/robiskie, we will have to take them at 18, because I just don't see them being there in the second, unless someone switches out JA and we trade down from 18 or back into the bottom of the first. Too many teams need WR's for them to last that long.
  21. I have a sinking suspicion that if we want one of those 3 WR's we are going to have to take one at 18...I see a big run at the end of the 1st beginning of the 2nd on WR's and they are the next level to go.

    T. O. cut

My only problem with that logic is TO is now far from dominant. He was very mediocre last season (which I agree is 3000% better than any Bears WR last year) but the fact that the ass hat routine comes in a package that can no longer dominate on the field tells me that he won't be worth it. NFO said it best, and living in Dallas he probably knows the best of all of us about it, but he just did not get separation last season, and dropped more balls than Rashied Davis. If he was still an absolute dominant WR that was a guarantee to push you over the edge, you argument might sway me...but at this point I question whether is that WR anymore.
  23. I went with Robinson, Robiskie, Byrd, and Toupu. That gives us 2 nice OL run blockers, a solid possession type receiver in Robiskie, and a potential FS in Byrd. I think Robinson is a beast of a guard and though I do not know much about Toupu, I have heard his specialty is run blocking.
  24. I would love a Barnes signing if only for competition purposes, but unless the market fails, I don't see JA ponying up the cash for both St Clair AND Barnes. And it looks like we are still focusing on St Clair so I don't see Barnes as a Bear next year. Did he suck in Jax last year too? Maybe he won't be worth the money...I don't really know.
