  1. The Jacksonville Jaguars select Pat Sims DT Auburn. The Indianapolis Colts - Fenom283 are on the clock.
  2. I would turn it down for the simple fact that CJ will never, ever be happy unless he is causing some kind of commotion. That is exactly what we do NOT need.
  3. As a proven WR, I would give up a lot for him, but AZ has already said no trade.
  4. Good luck Pix. I wish you the best.
  5. Well since my wife put the kibosh on getting together with the guys at Lloyd's apartment I figured the next best thing will be the chat room, so i will be there as much as I can. I work Friday night and Saturday night but I will be on for much of the day if possible.
  6. I would take Forte over Johnson any day.
  7. The Carolina Panthers select Kentwan Balmer, DT North Carolina. Your Chicago Bears an Hester 3:16 are on the clock.
  8. With the 35th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Chad Henne, QB Michigan. The New York Jets and Soxfan1 are on the clock.
  9. So many teams need WR, so that isn't all that surprising. Snap up the few good ones before they are gone.
  10. Being a Purdue guy, I know Keigler and I love him as a player, but LB is one area we do not need depth at from this draft. A solid OG, S, or DT is what I would envision with that pick if we pick those 4 players in rds 1-3.
  11. While I think no way Mendenhall lasts that long, any scenario that ivolves us giving up draft picks is just not a solid plan. I like Mendenhall, but the gap between him and Forte is not worth the huge loss of picks in this scenario.

    Nice Mock Draft

I love this myself, but I don't know that Forte is gonna last until the end of the 3rd round. I am thinking middle to end of the 2nd...
  13. With the 26th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select Quentin Groves DE Auburn. The San Diego Chargers and ConnorBear are now on the clock.
  14. I disagree that we are reluctant to use rookies: Mark Bradley, Chris Harris, Nate Vasher, Danelle Manning...There are others, but I think they were forced into action by injuries, which Manning might have been also. The fact still remains that this staff has always been willing to use rookies, when they do not redshirt them that is...
  15. Dang...since when does a 7-9 team get that many primetime games??!! So much for percieved direspect...5 PT games and the max is 6.
  16. And I am equally frustrated that a fine upstanding guy as yourself forgot the biggest rule of Bearstalk...Grouchy is NOT allowed to post without his amazing signatures...so be sure to follow the rules or we will band together to make the admins kick you! PS...Welcome back

    Garrett Wolfe

Like Jason, I do not see what all the Wolfe dislike is for. Sure it wasn't the best 3rd round pick JA could have made, but the kid was the most dynamic RB we had on the roster last year. He may never be an every down RB, but that never stopped a guy like Dave Megget, who went on to play pretty well for Mr Bill Parcells. If Turner pulls his head out of his hind orifice and utilizes the kid correctly, a la Parcells with Megget, the kid will be able contribure positively and help us make some big plays.
  18. I reserve that for the Rick Mirer trade...
  19. I would rather look for some sucker to trade up if possible than draft Ryan at 14. IMHO there is no QB worth the 14th pick this year, especially with all of the other pressing needs we have. If there is no other option for OL or RB ad no trade down offers...that would just suck.
  20. The Jets are a possibility. Other than them I could see Baltimore if Ryan is gone going for him.
  21. If he falls I still think we need to go OL. I don't think ANY QB's in this draft are worth top 20 picks myself. I think we should wait until rd 3 or 4 to go QB because I just don't see any of them being worth more than that this year.
  22. Carolina seriously considered Clady, but they just signed Wharton and Gross, and their RB situation is almost as much of a joke as the Bears. Stewart will be a stud in this league, so good pick by them.
  23. With the 13th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers select Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon. And YOUR CHICAGO BEARS are on the clock.
