  1. I play the Bears with Orton and Wolfe (2008) and am undefeated on all-madden for 3 years. I never play online, but I don't think I have lost a madden game to the computer or a friend since '06 first came out with the new passing system.
  2. Other than the fact it is Denver?
  3. I personally don't have any problem with JA, other than his complete and total lack of ability to put together a decent offense. I think he has done a decent job here, not a great job, but decent. On the other hand I did find that page awfully funny...
  4. I agree with Nfo, I just voted for the other one. Anything that could be related to the Bears should be fair game, and FA signings/trades/draft rumors can affect the Bears. NFL forum should be for the Spygates/Lions coaches naked drive thru escapades/Mike Vick Dog Lovers Anonymous meetings of the NFL world.
  5. Man I hope not. The guy got paid and has sucked ever since. There is a reason Seattle wnet so hard for RB in FA. Duckett and J Jones were worth more to them than him. Come to think of it, I would of rather had a Navy/Orange Julius too...
  6. Unless we can work a trade for less than a #2, I don't see it happening. JA likes his picks too much to do that. And like you said there will be decent OG's in rounds 2&3 to pick up cheaper.
  7. Personally I think we can find a comparable/better runner in rounds 5-6 of the draft. That pick would be cheaper than Brown and less likely to have his tires fall off midseason if asked to carry the load. I don't see any reason to spend even the vet min on this guy.
  8. I'm not against it, I know nothing about him, but 4yrs $16 million is high for this time in free agency. Pay him a lot less because no one else seems to be interested in him. A 2 year deal to prove himself/Brown injury insurance and re-up him if he stars sounds like the norm for this time in FA.
  9. That writer must have been a Bears fan who wanted Faneca.
  10. Ok...I drink as much kool-aid as the next guy in the off season but to say that Berrian isn't better than Booker, Hester, or Lloyd would take more kool-aid than I could stomach. Is Berrian a top 10 WR? No. Should we have paid him like one? No. Is he better than anything else we have? Abso-frickin'-lutely! He was our most consistent and best WR, and him being overpaid doesn't change that. I'm not saying I wanted to franchise him either, I could have gone either way with it, but saying he isn't better than those 3 tells me I think you need to lay off the kool-aid for a few days...
  11. This coming from a guy with a Flacco Jersey as his AV?? That's pretty darn funny...
  12. An example of a poison pill for Starkes would be to put a clause in the contract that the whole contract becomes guaranteed if he plays 4 or more games at Heinz Field in any 1 year. That way if Pitt matched, his deal would be fully guaranteed no matter what happened.
  13. Tommie will get a ton of cash on the open market...look at kennedy that the raiders signed...DT's are more expensive than LB's
  14. Yes...a lot of coin is being thrown everywhere on mediocre talent...oh wait...it is FA
  15. I would rather have VY than Rex, or even Orton and I am a big fan of his.
  16. Exactly he'd cost twice what BB did and he woul be hacked off all season because our QB will be on his back because we won't have any cash left for OL.
  17. More on stallworth's deal from PFT: That is a lot for a guy who has never broken out...
  18. Looks like we will be a 2 TE 1 WR offense next year because we only have 1 worth being on the field...if that
  19. From PFT That is a TON of coin...Was he worth that much??
  20. We either thought he isn't better than Rashied Davis or he didn't want to come here because that is peanuts...
  21. Heck if that's what it would have taken to get him, the Queens can have him...
  22. From PFT: We may be looking at no WR in FA this year because after BB and BJ there isn't much...
  23. Actually Starkes was Transition tagged, not franchised, so he can be had for no compensation to the Steelers with a poison pill deal that they can't match. Right now our starting tackles are Tait and St. Clair...I would take Starkes or Olevia in a heartbeat and STILL draft an OT at #14...
  24. That is what I view this as too. Depth and competition. We have been screaming for competition at QB, and when the Bears look to bring in someone for competition at another position we say we suck at drafting? Come on...Demario Williams is no pro bowler, and I can see Jamar beating him out after having been in the system for a 2 years. FA isn't just about starters, it is about creating depth too.
  25. I have no problem with the Bears adding B Johnson if they feel he can help. He may not be the #1 we need, but who outside of Randy Moss is available that is a true #1? We need WR's here bad and if BB leaves Johnson is the next best option.
