  1. I don't think so. If you can find a true road grader of a RT in round one I still see that as an IMMEDIATE need. St. Clair is a good guy to have around, but he is not an ideal RT. Having him and Omiyale gives us depth and competition for the 2 guys inside, but I still want that massive guy to open holes for Forte on the right side.
  2. I anyone else besides me really wishing that Angelo hadn't traded away Chris Harris right after the SB? At least then we would have 1 starting caliber Safety on the team at SS...Maybe it's just me but our safety position has sucked donkey balls since that move.
  3. We said the same thing about Mike Brown after his first 2 injuries...
  4. I don't like the idea of RB in the 3rd...I feel it is a wasted pick when there are plenty of cheap backs in FA to compliment Forte. Other than that I could live with it.
  5. I went with Jenkins, Loadholdt, and Watkins. A nice addition to the defensive backs (though I doubt he is really there at 18) and 2 OT's to help fill our black hole on the OL
  6. With the amazing stupidity and horrible interviews shown by Smith, I can't see JA taking him at 18...He shows up to the combine out of shape, refuses to work out, has terrible interviews, and then disappears...No way does JA take him.
  7. My lord, I get carpel tunnel just reading you two arguing with these novels
  8. Only because we play the Lions and Packers twice...we play all 4 teams that made it to the conference championship games this past year...
  9. And what exactly in our staff's history suggests to you that Boller's untapped potential will be brought out by them???
  10. I hear they tagged him (or will tag him, not sure if it is official yet because his contract doesn't expire until the offseason I think) because they are not sure if Brady will be healthy come training camp. So they are going to need him, not trade him.
  11. The problem with all this is that next year is the last capped year unless they get a new agreement between the union and the league between now and the end of this offseason. That means you cannot push his cap hit into future years when cutting or trading him, it would all hit next year. So I just cannot see us cutting him and taking the full cap hit of whatever the bonus proration is on his guaranteed money. Same goes for all of our aging highly paid underachievers. If there is no agreement made, 2010 will be uncapped and that will make for a very interesting year...
  12. I see they combined our threads so my last response made no sense LOL Edited to make me look less like an idiot
  13. Everything that needed to happen for the Bears to stay alive happened this weekend. The Queens lost, the Bucs lost, the Cowgirls lost, AND the Eagles lost. If the team isn't fired up for this game after that, then they deserve to be sitting at home. Take care of the Puckers and the Texans and we are very much still alive both in the division AND in the Wildcard. Let's kick their tails and hold our breath for next week!
  14. Happy Thanksgiving all! I am Thankful for a decent QB and a soon to be Division Championship this year!
  15. I never understood "Bear Weather" Bears hibernate when it gets cold...Let's hope "Bear Weather" means the exact opposite for the last 5 games.
  16. Thanks everyone! :-D Things are still going well, I am just gearing him up for his first game Sunday against the Queens. His Bears onsie will fit right in with the other kids' Urlacher jerseys. Go Bears!
  17. Que Bears88 to say that Orton sucks and stats are misleading...Rex would be leading the league... I just go back to his rookie year when everyone was frying him...I told you within 2-3 years he would be the starter and be a solid NFL QB. I just hope that his progression continues, because if he can continue to improve, he has the tools to be our QB for years to come.
  18. My new son was born today at 8:02am CST, 8 lbs 9 oz and 21.25 inches long. Mom and he are doing great, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and 3 legs.
  19. Per the Score this morning, Lovie said he should have kicked it deep...
  20. I think the scenario you are talking about will become apparent in the games and practice...if the QB has a rapport with a WR, it should show itself in production, so there is no reason to solicit opinions.
  21. I might be wrong, but JT was signed off our practice squad by the Packers...he wasn't cut...
  22. How about Forte, Peterson, and Wolfe?
  23. Here is an interesting nugget from Pat Kirwan. Interesting to see what the players think about Orton... http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4759
  24. I love the way this draft has gone for us so far. I think Williams was the right pick and I have wanted Forte for a while now. Excellent imho.
