Great post and I whole heartedly agree. I was a big supporter of Rex but feel he should have moved on after the season. I am hoping that Kyle plays all 16 games and progresses. If he does not we need to draft a QB or go get a FA. The only way Rex should play is Kyle completely melts down or is hurt. Peace

He is on the 53 man roster. You're thinking of the 45 man game day roster. Teams have to inactivate 8 players. The 3rd string QB can be inactive but you can play him in the event of injuries. One note - I believe if he comes in the game before the 3rd quarter, the other 2 QBs cannot come back into the game. Personally, I am happy as hell we kept him on the 53 man roster. I think he will be a starter eventually (give him 2 yrs watching from the sideline). Peace
