  1. Listened to Thayer on the SCORE with Double Z earlier tonight and he said Orton has progressed enough to be given the starting job. He also seem to say 5 yrs is enough time on Rex and the Bears need to move on - Rex has too many questions to answer. Peace
  2. I was not arguing about the rest of the class. I agree with your assessment on the rest of the class. I disagree with your assessment on Graham. Peace
  3. Gonna disagree on Graham. He played outstanding on ST. Peace
  4. Official per the Bears site - cleaning house. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4377 Peace
  5. I really think he was unwilling to negotiate a change in the contract. Remember, he is the player who refused to report to Buffalo last yr (originally traded to Buff from Philly). I think he has an over inflated view of his worth. I wish him no ill will. Best of luck to him. Peace
  6. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4377 Peace
  7. Part of me is happy because I like Alex but part of me doesn't like re-negotiating a contract with more than 1 yr left on that contract especially after he was openly lobbying for a new contract last yr. I think it can set a bad precedent. Peace
  8. Thankfully. Good luck to him somewhere else. He was not worth what he was being paid. Time to move on. Peace
  9. Walker is welcome back if, and only if, he renegotiates which means no 5 million dollar roster bonus in March. Peace
  10. We'd be lucky to get a bag of used jocks for Benson at this point. Plus the cap hit is fairly significant if I can remember. He is with us for 1 more yr. Peace
  11. 6 of 10 have us taking OT with 4 going to Otah which means we will draft RB!!!!! Seriously, I cannot see us taking QB or DT. QB is a need but will not have an immediate impact. DT is not as pressing a need. I was very happy of the play from Adams, Toeani, and Israel last yr. I do not see d-line as a need. OT or safety or trade down. Peace
  12. Harris signed a 4 yr extension with Carolina this past week. Peace
  13. I would agree. FA will set up what we will do in the draft. I can't wait for the fun to start. Peace:bears
  14. If you remember, the offense line looked much better when Metcalf was replaced with St. Claire. They recognized that Metcalf was not doing the job and sat him down. I would have loved to see Beekman or Oakley get those reps but I think the coaching staff was trying to prevent Orton from getting killed. Peace
  15. You forget one of Angelos best FA signing - Robbie Gould who is now the Bears all time leaader in FG % and is 6 for 6 in the playoffs with an OT game winner. OF course, Robbie was brought in to replace Doug Brien who was a piece of crap. Peace
  16. Only if he could play safety and he can't. He is strictly special teams and is not worth keeping around any more. Peace
  17. McBride started over Manning Jr. Says alot to me. Graham obviously got playing time do to injuries at the bottom of the roster. But they both played and they both contributed at a fairly high level. The coaching staff could have asked for vet FAs to be brought in (e.g. Tony Parrish) but did not. Also, we forgot the impact of Toueani at the end of the yr at DT. Obviously we were extremely thin at the position but they did bring him in and he also contributed. Peace
  18. The ony 2 young players that did not play this yr were Beekman and Haas so I don't get where you get a "number of young players' unless that number is 2. McBride, Graham, Olsen, and Wolfe all rookies and all played. Peace
  19. He is still under contract with Oakland until the end of this month. Until then, they can negotiate and sign him to a contract while no other team can. Once March 1st comes, he can sign with anyone. If we cut Moose, we do not have to pay him but his signing bonus counts against our cap. Peace
  20. You nailed it. He is worth more to us gone than on the team. Plus, he sucks. Peace
  21. He is younger than Booker. He has the same size as Booker. He is most likely faster than Booker. You can measure all of these things. Saying he is a better route runner and has better hands cannot be measured unless you want to compare his college stats to Booker's pro stats which I don't think you can do since Book is playing against a much, much higher level of competition. Haas has not played 1 down in the pros. Book has. Saying Haas is the best wr on the team has no basis in fact. It is merely your opinion. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Peace
  22. Moose's favorite past time is throwing his QBs under the bus. Would love to see him go and bring back Marty. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Peace
  23. Hey, I want Haas to play as much as anyone else but your basing that comment on potential. Booker has over 500 career catches. He had 2 1000 yd seasons with the Bears. Haas has not played a down at receiver. There is no comparison. Again, I want to see him play. He should have been given the opportunity last yr. I am hopeful he breaks out this yr and gets and shows what we all think he can do. Peace
  24. Who would this be - Haas? Peace
