  1. I agree. His biggest impact has been on special teams and we know that Toub will just plug someone else in. Peace
  2. Nfo - you nailed it. Minimal risk in this deal to the Bears. Huge upside if he breaks out. Peace
  3. Yeah, give me a self centered piece of crap like TO over Favre anyday!!!!!! Sorry dude, Favre was a great player whose value to the game can't be measured. Although I hated him as a Packer, I have tremendous respect for him as a player. Peace
  4. On this article, I disagree that after Olsen the next offensive skill player is Booker. I see it as Clark who is a very, very good TE. Further, I do not see Booker as a replacement for Berrian. He is a replacement for Moose. Bradley or Hester replace Berrian (one of the 2 must step up). Nfo - I agree with you completely. I think this is why we will not draft RB in the first round. I see OT in round 1 and wr in round 2. Benson is going to be given 1 more chance. They cannot cut him because of his cost. They will either draft a rb in round 3 or later or they will sign a FA like Chris Brown to compete against Ced. Peace
  5. He was a great ST player for us. Hate to see him go but we need to get some of the younger players involved. Best of luck to him. Peace

Yeah, just saw the Booker thread. Please ignore my previous post. Peace
  7. Fantastic!!!!! We needed a possession receiver and this is it. I am very happy with this signing. Peace

Slim pickings now. With Walker and Gafney gone, here is what is left: Bryan Johnson (looks like Buffalo or Washington) Reche Caldwell Drew Carter DJ Hackett Marty Booker Robert Ferguson (if we are desperate) Brandon Lloyd (would need to be a minimum contract - not sure what he brings to us) I wonder how much longer JA is going to wait to jump in. We cannot go into the draft with the 5 receivers we have now. Peace
  9. I think Bobby signed a 3 yr deal last yr. He is not a FA - I know that for sure. Peace
  10. With a 16 million SB. No wonder we weren't interested. This is out of control. Peace
  11. Look, I hated Favre as much as the next Bears fan but I did have a tremendous amt of respect for him. He is a 1st ballot hall of famer and one of the greatest QBs of all time. Here is the quote from Lovie - some great stuff: “I think this announcement comes about 17 years too late and I don’t know if I will completely believe it until Green Bay opens the season without No. 4 lining up under center. In all seriousness, no one has given more to our game than Brett Favre. I have spent the better part of my NFL coaching career working on game plans to beat him. There is no player I respect more. He is one of the all-time greats to ever play in the NFL. He was a tremendous leader and the ultimate competitor on Sundays. I wish him and his family the very best.” Peace
  12. Don't worry - we already know you are Johnny Raincloud!!!!! Peace
  13. From NFL.com: The Jets have doled out $137.75 million worth of contracts, including $67 million worth of guaranteed money in the past 48 hours.--Adam Schefter Unbelievable. Peace
  14. From the Suntimes. The less players on the team represented by Rosenputz the better in my opinion. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...n030308.article Peace
  15. The most valuable person on Special teams is - Dave Toub. Losing Brendon doesn't bother me. Toub will slot someone else in there just like he did last yr when we lost Johnson, Wesley, and Worrell. Spend the money on Gould. Best of luck to Brendon. Peace
  16. We can both agree on this. I hope he is stepping into a giant pile of suck!!!!! Peace
  17. I agree with you that Gould and Harris should be extended and we should hold on Hester and Anderson. They both have 2 yrs left on their rookie contracts - no need to move on this until sometime next yr (heck you can give them new deals during the season next yr). Peace

No. We need strength on the d line. If we cannot sign him he will be tagged - guarenteed. Peace

Exactly - all you need to do is look at his time in Oakland. Pass. Peace
  20. I just can't see us bringing in Lloyd. To me he doesn't offer anything more than Devin and I would much rather give the playing time to him. Again, we need to bring in a possession receiver. Booker (old version) or Johnson (young version) - one of these 2. Peace
  21. NFL Network said he has been in Atlanta since Friday. He actually went out to dinner with Author Blank tonight. I don't see him leaving Atlanta. Peace
  22. Per the Sun Times. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...s030208.article Peace
  23. That was a great play but, like you said, he doesn't make plays that get him on Sportscenter. This is one of the reasons why he won't be getting a huge contract. I think another reason may be that Washington is not a big player in the market this yr - they were jonesing for him last yr. Peace
  24. Well, you can guarentee all you want but that is simply your opinion. My opinion is he is not a top 20 receiver in the league. I would have loved to have keeped him but not at what the Queens gave him. I could be wrong but I think this will come back to burn them in the arse. Peace
  25. Colbert to Denver 3 yrs, 7.5 million Henderson to Saints 1 yr, 2 million Peace
