  1. I think Garrett goes #1 and SF takes the QB unless they somehow sign Cousins. If Bears do select a QB, I hope they bring in every resource to make him successful.
  2. At 3, no way. We have other needs that can be filled with the #3 than risking it on a player that was only considered bc he was a BPA at the time. Get a S or QB and see how Bullard turns out, he was taken pretty high to eventually be a starter and we have a 2nd invested in Ferguson and a 3rd in Sutton who should all be in the rotation.
  3. If we fill the needs at QB, S, CB, TE, WR, OT, DT, and OLB, then upgrading RB depth works. I am sure we will address a handful of these next week in FA, if so then get another stud that pushes Langford for the #2 spot.
  4. Melifonwu and Hooker wouldn cure that insecurity. I think we only need a true FS to be honest. Draft time we expand our need list.
  5. I am curious about his 40 time. Heard his playing speed is too slow and he may have trouble getting open in the NFL. Like his hands and everything else. Maybe another Jerry Rice?
  6. I am torn between Adams and Hooker also. I want all the prospects, but they will need to address QB somehow, whether it is a first or second pick or a FA. If we really wanted to only focus on Defense, Adams RD1 and Baker Rd2 or Hooker Rd1 and Obi Melifonwu Rd 2 or 3 would give the Bears an exciting dual for years. 1-J Adams SS 2-B Baker FS 3-A Jackson CB A backfield with these three would be exciting but it would question Pace in spending picks on Deon Bush and DeAndre Houston-Carson and giving up on them so soon, especially knowing we could have Zac Prescott with the Bush pick.
  7. I think we are safe from drafting RB this year. Howard Langford and Carey are all under contract. Next draft it wouldn't surprise me.
  8. The Jets know we are easy to trade with and with the D they have why not go for an established QB even though he has flaws.
  9. QBs measured in. Looks like a 6'2" class besides Kizer at 6'4". Kizer 9-7/8" and Watson with 9-3/4" hand size. BTrubisky 9-1/2" and Mahomes 9-1/4" just a little smaller.. Mariotta had 9-7/8" hands and Winston 9-3/8" for comparing.
  10. If you are asking about my mock, it was 4 trades in the first. Moved from 3 to 6, picked up Chargers 2nd and 3rd for moving down. Then Cincy traded pick 9 for 6 and gave their 2nd RD and 3rd Rd pick. Then Cleveland traded 12 for pick 9 and gave their 2nd. Last was Indy that traded 14 and their 2nd, which i traded that 2nd to TB for their 2nd and 3rd. Unrealistic, but every time I came up to pick I was offered great value to move a couple of slots.
  11. I think they may want Cutler and that was one reason they released Marshall. Maybe we can swing a deal with those two involved and maybe a pick.
  12. Just saying Foster is a rare ILB prospect. You haven't seen one mock on this board taking him or even one on other websites so it is just a few admiring him. Trevathan may not be ready early on or at all, his injury is one of the hardest to return from which hasn't been talked about much yet ,so we only have 2 capable starters as of now. Freeman is on his last year on a 2 year deal, eventually they will need more depth.
  13. Achieved the A+ finally, but they graded many picks B's. Hard to figure out how this works. This draft would replenish the depth with a lot of potential and many positions, I was glad I was offered 2nd RD picks to move down 2-3 slots every time my pick came up. Your score is: 13107 (GRADE: A+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 14 (IND): DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame (B+) Round 2 Pick 1 (CLE): Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama (A-) Round 2 Pick 4: David Njoku, TE, Miami (Fla.) (A-) Round 2 Pick 6 (LAC): Budda Baker, FS, Washington (B-) Round 2 Pick 9 (CINN): Obi Melifonwu, SS, Connecticut ( Round 2 Pick 18 (T.B.): Adoree' Jackson, CB, Southern California (B+) Round 3 Pick 3: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida ( Round 3 Pick 7 (LAC): JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Southern California (A) Round 3 Pick 20 (T.B.): Elijah Qualls, DT, Washington (A+) Round 4 Pick 4: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan ( Round 4 Pick 10: Julien Davenport, OT, Bucknell (C+) Round 5 Pick 6 (NYJ): Jarron Jones, DT, Notre Dame ( Round 6 Pick 7 (NYJ): Ryan Switzer, WR, North Carolina (B-)
  14. I wouldn't be surprised with Kizer either. Trubisky, Kizer, Adams, Hooker, or Thomas, D Barnett. Barnett will sneak up to top 5 I believe by draft day.
  15. Foster would be a huge producer for many years. There may not be another LB like him available for years, I would not be mad if they took him. Boulware might be available in the middle rounds, he is not as strong defending the pass.
  16. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/03/02/p...-his-shoulders/ This may or not affect Allen, but this will be a major concern at pick #3 come draft day. I think he drops down some but some team will still make him a top 10 pick, just not the Bears imo.
  17. That is why I do not see them firing Fox unless he really screws up. As we see now, they still have a couple years to go just to be in the mix.
  18. It is starting to look like a good option even though it seems the bridges have been burned on the management/fans side. The best scenario will be the Bears getting first dibs on the QB of choice round 1. Some fans may not like it, but QB has to be taken either 3 or by 36, I'd rather not gamble on one not being there later.
  19. It has been reported that Buffalo will not use the franchise tag on Stephen Gilmore CB. This is encouraging.
  20. There goes 3 or 4 off of the wish list. Bad teams are not getting any breaks it seems. The NFL raised the cap, helping good teams keep good players. They award compensation draft picks to them if they lose a good player(s). They give bad teams high draft picks at least which some may use to trade for good teams back up players. Smh, seems like we are hosed for a while.
  21. I am more mad that the AJ will be the top FA this offseason and the awful Bears get nothing out of it but false pride. We will have cut, let walk, or traded all of our playmakers (Cutler, Forte, Marshall, Jeffery, and Bennett) with little to show for replacements. Which leaves the replacements today looking like (Shaw, Howard*, White, Meredith, and Miller). I know that won't be accurate but I am frustrated and not at anyone here. At the end of next week free agency starts, maybe the tune will change
  22. We will have nearly 60% of the cap available. Kind of sad seeing that to be honest. Cut Houston and Royal and that number goes up. Pace will have to find a lot of 1 or 2 year deals so he don't handcuff himself and lose some of our draft gems down the road.
  23. I do not like this at all. If Jeffery walks and we get nothing in return, what does this say about Pace managing assets? If he knows he will match and lets the market set the price then he may save some grace but now we may have to over pay. The Bears cannot keep letting good players get away. It seems like any good player we have, we find a reason not want them.
  24. It is unfortunate, but that is how it works. It will be a couple more years until the Bears are back to that point where they have the roster to let a FA walk and have a backup waiting in the wings to step in. Unless they clean house again firing the GM/Coach and have to start over again.
  25. Not a chance. The Bears will be the biggest spender in FA this offseason. They will sign more than they lose which will keep them from getting compensation.
