  1. One thing is for sure, Jay does not trust him and has pretty much avoided throwing the ball to him because when he has bad things seem to happen. Must be like when Hester was here Jay did not like him cause he had trouble learning the offense.
  2. What coaches are out there that could help right this ship either now or next year. I want to know who the board likes both experienced NFL and College and what position would you hire them for the Bears, Head Coach, DC, ST, and OC? Is there a combo that you think could work: i.e John Gruden or Gary Kubiac for HC paired with a Mike Singletary / Wade Phillips at DC? I want a leader of men and not a grower of men, that's the job of the players parents and college coaches! I want a coach like Bill Belichick who hates losing, knows how to light a fire under players, hold players accountable as well as steps on the throat of his opponents when they are down, you know that killer instinct that has been lacking around here for some time! I don't follow college football closely and just cram before the draft every year. It would be good to hear what you guys think of the possible NFL coaching talent in the college ranks. I read this article but I honestly haven't heard of most of these coaches http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap2000000361609

    What now?

I'm with you KKD, and feel most of the blame is on the coaching not getting these guys ready to play, scheme vs personnel issues and player performance. At least they are a collectible sucking which means they have negative team cohesion with some week to week exceptions with players like Fuller, Forte and Ratliff have some great games.

    What now?

Yeah, I'm the same, I grew up on the South side of Chicago and will always love the Bears even when they are playing awful I'm still glad to be able to watch them on the Sunday Ticket every weekend.
  5. Both Tulloch and Houston's injuries occured on synthetic turf. Both were stupid but I would say Lamar's was even stupider because his team was being blown out.
  6. It's time to fire coach Joe Decamilis and perhaps Mel Tucker as well. Does anyone know who is out there that could be signed to replace these coaches if they did get the axe?

    What now?

I live in Denver and to avoid embarrassment the thought crossed my mind today about removing my bears license plate holder but I probably will keep it on there.
  8. If I was a season ticket holder I would be writing the McCaskey Family a letter demanding a partial refund fund or something! Heck, I'm and NFL Tickets subscriber and feel like writing a letter!

    Fuller

If our line backers are doing their job and making tackles than Fuller probably does not get injured flying over to provide support so often.
  10. There are rumors that Harbaugh may leave the Niners at the end of the season and at this point I would consider anyone who can get our beloved franchise back on track. I like coaches that played in the nfl and have passion for the game and hat losing.
  11. I agree that the play calling was so predictable with all the short passes. It is unacceptable that this team was shutout in the first half. We are not attacking the seam and have never delveloped any chemistry with Holmes or Morgan in the slot either. therAlston dropped at least three pretty good deep passes today. I think the real problem is the offense never got into a rhythm and Miami capitalized on the three turnovers without giving any back to the Bears. I really didn't like the play calling as they never established the dual threat that is Matt Forte. Ratliff was a stud today and other than that the defense also lacked chemistry. Nice return by Williams and blocked FG by Houston where the only standout plays by st. I think game planning was the over problem which is on the coaches. Time for Shea, dj and Briggs when healthy to ride the bench.
  12. Maybe this was one of the cover ups jerry Angelo was mumbling about last week?
  13. Yeah, this unit is so bad that even if the returner takes a knee someone will get flagged for holding pushing us back to the 10 yd line. I don't understand why Joe de Camillis has a job, Dallas ST. sucked and he comes here and now the Bears go from first to worst.
  14. Are you guys serious? You actually want to bring back the guy that cried not because he was drafted 4th overall but because he did not want to play for the Bears and follow in Walter Payton's shadow? This guy was not a good Bear an is one of the reason we lost the Super Bowl against Indy. I agree it would be nice to have a real hammer to complement Forte but C'mon Man! For now I will be happy watch Forte gashing teams as a dual threat out of a spread attack offense like today!
  15. I agree, the linebackers were flying around making plays and being physical. Only bad play was when the got sucked in on the screen that went for a 41 yd TD to Smith. The DL finally got some pressure and even recall some timely blitzes. Miami showed today the blueprint to how to almost beat Green Bay. Get pressure on Rodgers with the DL and then play good coverage on their three WR. Too bad Tanehill had two picks in the first half because that cost them the game today. Its amazing what fresh legs will do for the Bears LB corps and I certainly won't mind seeing this type of effort from Defense the rest of the season!
  16. Young linebackers got fooled by the screen play or Mel tucker had everyone bunched up the middle. Terrible play regardless.
  17. What about DJ Williams? Is he hurt too?
  18. Yeah, Briggs has been playing like he is contemplating retirement. He has been indecisive, slow, and weak. Excited to seeing what Christian Jones and Greene can bring!
  19. I agree. Definitely interested in seeing jones in some extended action. He made a great goaline tackle last week that was in my opinion incorrectly called a face mask. I would rather not see garza back in the starting lineup and prefer BDLP.
  20. Trestman also needs to clean up his game planning, calls and in game adjustments. The onside kickoff against green bay was beyond stupid. that call put the defense in apposition to fail ( Rodgers does not need a short field )and caused a moment swim in the wrong direction before half.
  21. No QB in the league is perfect. your suggesting cutler was overpaid but he was clearly the best available QB presently for this team. I had mixed feelings on Hester but like many thought he was on the decline, would love to have him back at a team friendly deal but clearly the teams was starting turn over the aging players. Lance Briggs will probably be then next to be let go in the offseason.
  22. Pretty much agree and you can put joe decamillis to the fire now list! He sucks and probably the worst special teams coach I've seen.
