  1. Holding again not called on jets
  2. I take back wanting Ray Lewis as a member of the Bears organization after hearing a Ray Lewis sound byte this morning on the Score, "Some things can be covered up and some thing can't be" when commenting on the Ray Rice situation. Not sure what Ray means by this comment but none the less it was very stupid in my opinion and changes how I perceived him to be based on his recent airing on "a Football Life Show." You guys were right and I officially change my recommendation to Samurai Mike Singletary to be hired on immediately as the Defensive Quality Control / motivational coach for the Bears!
  3. Lovie should have let Josh Mccown install Trestman's offensive down in Tampa. Smiths lack of creative problem solving, stubbornness and unwillingness to reinvent his football schemes is why he needed to go from Chicago.
  4. Just curious what you mean down this road before with Cutler..? When in in Bears history, let alone within Jay's tenure has this team assembled a competent offensive coordinator, offensive line and have legit WRs, TE and dual threat RB assembled around him? I say this is new territory for not only for Jay Cutler but for Bears nation as well! I'm hoping Cutty can keep improving and reach his potential and don't understand why so many want to see him fail.
  5. I just read the entire game thread after the game was over and found the emotional roller coaster ride of posts to be pretty amusing!! This was a huge must win game for the Bears! Nice to see some of the young players flash tonight. Conte had a great pick and Fuller looked like a young Tillman out there. Willie young was our best pass rusher and Bostic made a key tackle on Vernon Davis that nocked him out of the game. SMC did nothing and it is time to put Christian Jones or Greene out there. Seems like everything started to turn around once Jay took that big hit in the chest. The only thing that would have made this better was if the Jets did not beat themselves today.
  6. The purpose of my post was not to criticize the new position coaches. If I'm Phil Emery I'm pulling a white sox move here and bring in Ray Lewis now since he is available even if I don't have an immediate role for the man. Ray Lewis' Leadership and knowledge of the game could only be a positive impact these young defensive line backers. Ray was a lot like Samuri Mike, one tough sob and a coach on the field as a player.
  7. He would definitely get these guys playing with some passion and pride again!
  8. After watching Ray Lewis "a football life" on NFL network I was thinking he should be brought into Chicago as our defensive quality control coach and groomed to be our future def coordinator. The dude was a stud who played the game the right way and clearly is a leader of men with a passion for excellence.
  9. I suppose you think Brandon Marshall sucks too. After all BM fumbled twice. Maybe, you are the one with a bad attitude or perhaps needing to just vent here? Yes, Jay made a terrible throw on the 2nd pick and should have used his legs or threw the ball out of bounds. Yes, Jay panicked when the play busted which is frustrating since Trestman just called a time out. I would have preferred a running play or even the read option called in that critical situation. Cutler is better than Mccown and a legit top 10-12 nfl QB. I sure would take Cutler over what a lot teams have at QB not named the broncos, patriots, saints, packers. Actually, Peyton had a meltdown in the Super Bowl and was the reason the broncos did not go to the SB the year before last season. Brady lost to the dolphins and Rodgers did not look good against Seattle. Yeah, Josh really lit it up in his TB debut. I believe Josh had a couple of picks as well. Cutty is a leader, competitive and wants to win and his teammates not named urlacher like him. Jay is good enough to win a Superbowl in Chicago. We need to worry more about special teams and this defense.
  10. Do NFL teams have a confidentiality clause that prohibits a player that is cut to not divulge information on the former teams playbook to his new team?
  11. This really is unbelievable and pretty much could not be any more contrarian to the last 100+ years of Bears Football and I love it. I just hope we find a capable second TE's and sucks that Miller is now on IR. Moreover, if this defense finds a way to gel and becomes respected once again - look out GB cause here comes the Chicago Bears! Bear Down!
  12. Flying too and from Chicago & NY once a week and concentrating on pro football is too hard, really? Marshall knows the playbook, already knows how to prepare for NFL games and just needs to take care of his body. I think about all you out there who commute from the burbs to the city everyday for work or Single parents trying to work and raise a family, now that is hard!
  13. Saw this on the facebook link and thought it was hilarious! I can't stand when Rodgers doe this celebration.................
  14. I liked Wilson as a Cardinal. Bowen just mentioned on the score his recent injury history with the patriots. Good low risk high reward singing.
  15. Yeah, Trestman was an average QB but he seems to be one heck of a coach..
  16. I would like to see a backup QB get a number other than 12. Also, it would be nice to un-retire some numbers and just have a ring of fame like other teams.
  17. I agree with SC here, why not cut Weems if Jones shows promise at LB and is a capable ST player?
  18. here is an article on Ferguson. Sounds like a project pick to me but no worries, Ego is in good hands? LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Statistics can be deceiving. The Chicago Bears clearly looked beyond LSU defensive tackle Ego Ferguson's modest career collegiate numbers (12 career starts, 85 tackles, five tackles-for-loss and one sack) when drafting him at No. 51 overall. They obviously believe the 6-foot-3, 315-pound Ferguson will add fresh legs to an already decent rotation at defensive tackle that includes veterans Jeremiah Ratliff, Nate Collins and Stephen Paea. Because the Bears are so high on Ratliff at three-technique, general manager Phil Emery didn't have to necessarily find a Week 1 starting interior defensive lineman in the draft. After Minnesota's Ra'Shede Hageman and Florida State's Timmy Jernigan were taken off the board, Ferguson was the next best option in the Bears' mind. He can stop the run. Ferguson had 58 tackles in 2013 when he was named honorable mention All-SEC. Not to be redundant, but the Bears are determined to find players that thrive in run support. Word is Ferguson still needs to develop better interior pass-rushing skills. "You always need to work," Ferguson said Friday night. "I need to improve on pass-rush and my spin move. But one thing I always bring is my heart and my competitive nature. [i'll do] whatever it takes and for however long it takes to win." Bears 2012 first round pick Shea McClellin took to twitter to welcome his new teamate, "Welcome aboard Ego! I look forward working with you on your technique during OTA's and at Bourbonnais @SheaSpinsMcClellin50." Second-round picks are expected to contribute in Year 1, but Ferguson has the luxury of working on his technique with veteran Bears defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni until he's ready to be thrust into a starting role. Ferguson told reporters at Halas Hall he had a positive meeting with Pasqualoni when he visited the Bears before his pro day. "[Pasqualoni] has a great personality and he brought me to the office and we were talking ball for a long time," Ferguson said. "He asked me if I can play that two-technique, can I do it? He said that's what the Bears want me for. He showed a lot of interest." Pasqualoni was an important hire for the Bears in the offseason. With more than 40 years of coaching experience, he is the perfect person to coach up younger defensive linemen that may possess above-average traits, but have yet to garner above-average success. The Bears are counting on Pasqualoni to refine Ferguson's pass-rushing technique; just as Rod Marinelli did with Israel Idonije, Henry Melton and Corey Wootton before the veteran coach departed for Dallas after the Chicago Bears fired Lovie Smith. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...eteran-dl-coach
  19. here is the Arron Donald clone
  20. Why go O when we need D and there was a tremedous run offensive players in round 2
  21. good news there was 21 offensive players taken in round 2. Hopefully there will be some go defensive players available for the Bears in next couple of rounds.
