  1. Count me in on Mac Jones at 20! Then take OT in 2nd round
  2. I would live to have Watt on the Bears! Been a while since we had a #99 that wreaked havoc on QB's!
  3. Thanks Jason and I agree with your assessment. I’ve watched several Jones highlights videos and I really want him in the first round and a left Tackle in Round 2.
  4. Jason, You probably watch more college ball than I do so curious to what you think of Mac Jones?
  5. Following your logic but don’t understand drafting Two DT’s in the first three Picks? Why not take the best cover slot DB or S in the 3rd Round to sure up the secondary? I disagree on your assessment of Bilal Nichols and Brent Urban they made plays all year. DT is a strength especially with Goldman back next season. My Preference would be to make a move into the 12 - 20 pick range for Mac Jones or trade back and take two OT’s early and then best player available at WR, LB, Edge, S, CB, QB. Fixing the O-Line would pay immediate dividends. Imagine if the offense Line was able to sustain drives which would keep the defensive fresh thus having a greater impact on the entire team. We know how continuing down the same path of investing disproportionately to the defense while ignoring the offensive line leads to mediocracy. The trenches after all are where games are won or lost!
  6. Honestly I'm just not confident Pace and Nagy will make the right call in trading for a QB. Mainly it is their desperation that has me on edge that they will likely way over pay for a veteran QB. In the end I hope the deals don't work our and Pace is forced to pick the best QB and OT's available in the Rounds 1 - 3.
  7. I don't think the Bears organization can afford to trade away future picks for Wentz or Carr as much as I think they could help solidify the QB position, albeit at what cost? This is supposedly a deep draft for OT and WR. I what I see on highlights for QB Mac Jones but he may not be there at no. 20. This could be the year to trade back and get some starting OT's and add depth. Here is my most recent mock addressing OT, WR and bringing in young talent at positions that are aging or getting very expensive. 36. Jalen Mayfield OT Michigan 52. Baron Browning LB Ohio State 58.Dillon Radunz OT North Dakota State 97.Davis Mills QB Stanford 105.Marquez Stevenson WR Houston 125.Monty Rice LB Georgia 151.Richard LeCounte S Georgia 155.Robert Rochell CB Central Arkansas 182.Jaelon Darden WR North Texas 185.Malcolm Koonce EDGE Buffalo 187.Trevon Grimes WR Florida 198.Joshua Kaindoh EDGE Florida State 219.Master Teague RB Ohio State · 2022 LAR 6th
  8. In this mock, I have the Bears trading down targeting QB Mac Jones, Edge, and some OT’s early. I’d be very pleased with a draft like this. 32. Mac Jones QB Alabama 52. Jayson Oweh EDGE Penn State 62. Spencer Brown OT Northern Iowa 69. Walker Little OT Stanford 110. Tutu Atwell WR Louisville 116. Marquez Stevenson WR Houston 158. Trill Williams CB Syracuse 172. Paris Ford S Pitt 181. Isaac Slade-Matautia LB Oregon 197. Master Teague RB Ohio State
  9. Bears need to trade down and pick QB Mack Jones. Then go OT, OT, then other needs Edge, S, nickel, WR, LB best player available.
  10. I’m leaning towards in-house promotion of Jay Rodgers!
  11. Good write up on possible names for the DC! https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2021/1/15/22231025/who-the-chicago-bears-may-consider-for-vacant-defensive-coordinator-position-nfl-offseason-2021
  12. Jason, not on purpose some of these sites are hard to navigate on a phone. Either way it’s a value pick. Here is one I just completed after Bears beat Jags:
  13. Bears absolutely need to draft two OT’s in the first three picks to get themselves some bookends and cut Leno and Massie and some other dead wait. Pace (or new GM) needs to trade down and infuse this team with younger talent in key positions kinda like this: OT, QB, Nickel DB, and TE with some depth at WR, LB, and CB/S 32. Alex Leatherwood OT Alabama 49. Mac Jones QB Alabama 75. Teven Jenkins OT Oklahoma State 79. Kenny Yeboah TE Mississippi 95. Andre Cisco S Syracuse 105. DJ Daniel CB Georgia 127. Charlie Kolar TE Iowa State 143. Tony Fields II LB West Virginia 175. Dazz Newsome WR North Carolina 195. Quentin Lake S UCLA FULL RESULTS
  14. I'd be okay with keeping Pace and still 50/50 on Nagy. They are both relatively young and seem to be learning from past mistakes. With that said the true test will be how they try and rebuild this team via draft. Will they be disciples enough to finally invest draft capital in the OL early this year as it is a deep draft for lineman? Here is a path to a successful 2021 draft.
  15. It really hurts not having a 4th round pick this year with the deep O-line. Pace should be fired for this as it was one if his biggest blunders but probably had to be all in to protect his HC that he brought in. Bears could try and sign Dak Prescott, and if the new regime takes 2 OT’s in first 3 rounds could make such a big impact. Total morale boost to the stars and theywould be excited and want to return. A-Rob would probably take a team friendly deal for 1-2 seasons.
  16. Pace could save his ass if he is able to be more tatical. First he needs sign Dak Prescott and Rob which would make restructuring the core vet deals (Mack, Fuller, Quinn etc) possible as they would probably buy-in on the plan to fix the ”O” and make a real SB RUN!. Next, Draft 2 OT and a stud center in the first three rounds to rebuild the long neglected offensive line! Now we have kept our core vets and solved the QB and OL issues in one offseason without sacrificing future draft capital! A new head coach would also be helpful.
  17. At this point they need to scour the ends of the earth to find QB talent. Why not bring in free agent Chad Kelly?
  18. How long has this franchise ignored prioritizing OL in the early rounds of the draft? Far too long and it really shows now, especially with the injuries / c19. There is a reason why Foles has bounced around. He has been terrible and unimpressive since the ATL game. Honestly though, No RB or QB can be successful with what is going on upfront. Add in the ineptitude of play calling & executions (dropped passes & terrible pass attempts) was a perfect storm for an epic offensive fail. How do they dig out from this? Well it has to start with the draft. The bears need 3 lineman and a QB with their first 4 picks. Also, they should bring in QB Chad Kelly to the practice squad. They need a Mike Tomlin type head coach and start drafting like the Ravens!
  19. Agreed! Rashard Smith certainly looks more athletic than Amos and has solid tackling form.
  20. Dreaming Big here: Trade Mitch and three future 1st rounder picks to Cincinnati for number 1 pick 2020. Mitch gets a fresh start in his home state while Bengals start rebuilding. Bears select Joe Burrow and and then use the two second picks to bring in OL talent. Address other needs via draft and FA. Nagy then has one season to work with a Franchise prototype NFL QB. Assuming he is not extended, Jim Harbaugh’s contract expires at Michigan in January 2021.
  21. I’m good if the bears hire an internal assistant that is worthy i.e Donatell but if they go outside I’d prefer a coach from an organization know for strong defense like Baltimore or Pittsburgh.
  22. True, he may have changed but I going by what I remembered when he was here in Denver where I have lived since graduating college in 2000. Hopefully the article I just read is true and he did learn how to open up and build sincerel relationships.
  23. McDaniels is not a leader of men. He was awful in Denver and was known as hurricane Josh for a reason/. He is a douche.
