  1. Put me down for the-no-qb-at-3 group. Watson is going to go earlier, and I will be happy. And after watching the championship game, I don't want Allen either. I did not see him make any plays on the big stage. Right now I'm leaning to S or CB at no 3.

    Barkley

Agreed. Right now I'd bring back Hoyer, Barkley and Shaw and draft someone in the 2nd or 3rd round. Let them fight it out in cam and take three on the roster into the season. Hell, we can't be any worse at QB with those guys, we pretty much know what we got with Hoyer and he can mentor the others. I DO NOT want to see Pace mortgage our future in a trade with the Pats for Jimmy G. Cutler is the example here that shows that doesn't pay off. We have to develop a QB on our own to be a successful team again.
  3. Alaska and everyone here: this IS going to be a better year all around, just got a feelin.
  4. Howard got his yards. Great pick by Pace. Barkley, meh. Keep him as a backup and work with him in the offseason. Who knows, he could be a good no 2. Agree with Jason, fire ALL the ass coaches that have led to the injuries and poor preparedness on this team. If it doesn't improve next year get rid of Fox. We have the no. 3 pick, don't reach for a worthless QB. That's what Cleveland has been doing for years. Happy New year to all of the guys here. This has got to be a better year for Da Franchise! Now, on to next season!
  5. Every Bears fan knows it. And at some point, he's gonna come back and bite us in the arse.
  6. Wow, even dumb ole me knows that would be a mega-bad trade. Hold firm and draft BPA and get a QB 2nd if necessary.
  7. I hope that's the thinking of these guys. Perfection in the workplace is all we are asking.

    Team Needs

I went CB and FS. Friggin tired of getting burned by Puckin Rodgers on long passes when its 4th and a million yards.
  9. S0, Pix next year, lets dump Barkley, who, from what I've seen, can put the ball in the right spot more than not? No. Give this lid a shot next year. Crap he's pretty much a rookie. I want to keep hi m in the mix, he's earned it IMdO.
  10. No question now. Barkley can throw so he can be a no 2, at worst. And he's got moxey. Newport beach kid slingin it in the fridged Soldier Field. Give him a contract and get more competition.
  11. Oh yes. But unfortunately we don't have any WR that can catch nor anyone that wants to tackle. What I've seen so far is the Bears have mailed it in and are just walking through the motions. Fire Fox now cause he couldn't motivate a hungry dog to eat a steak. Just pathetic, and I'm embarrassed again as Bear lifer.
  12. Hey, every one of our Wrs are worthless. They have one thing to do, they get paid to do it and they drop ball after ball. Keep Barkley, get rid of all our WRs.
  13. Yep. I DO want a QB, but there is not a clear keeper out there this year. Get BPA, hopefully OT as 1st, then secondary and a QB 3rd or 4th. I'm thinking Barkley and Hoyer--if we keep him cheap-- will suffice, give the rock to Howard behind a solid OL and we can do it. But we do need help in the secondary. How long since we've had a stud there?
  14. Barkley is NOT our franchise QB. He is a great backup, but he is not much better than Bobby Douglas or Bob Avelleni, etc., for those of us who (can, at my age!) remember. We have got to get on the draft a QB train, or we are screwed for the rest of my lifetime.
  15. Agree totally. I lived through the teams of the late 60' and into the 70's. It's a bitch, and then there were the mid 80's. I live with the hope that every year we can do better but I'm getting old.
  16. Wow, Mad Lith, praying to Papa Bear. Wow are we in the s#@t can? Please Papa, Holy Founder of the league grant us a Super Bowl we implore you. What more can I do?
  17. There is no reason not to. Who are we saving, and for what?
  18. Like it, especially #7.
  19. Can we just put in scrubs now (wait, aren't the WRs that?), evaluate and hope for healthy players next year?
  20. Madlith, I never thought, before this year, that I would not follow the beloved as they play. But, really, I'm losing interest. Where do I go from here? Politics is even worse! LOL
  21. Been a Bears' fan for more than 50 years. I've learned don't ever believe in the QB position being consistent on this team. I do think Cutler is not part of the team's future. Let him go, we've got some backups already. Grab a solid prospect in the draft at no 2 or 3 and move on. BPA with our first pick--like to see a solid edge rusher or LT. Don't know what will be available. Then again, a WR that can #1 catch the freakin ball and #2 stay healthy for a few games. This draft is Pace's put-up-or-shut-up draft. I ain't got that many more years to wait for Da Bears to be Da Champs,
  22. I like the idea, but don't think it'll happen. Hoyer is coming back, probably, so Pace is undoubtedly thinking trade and the BPA.
  23. This added to Jeffry's suspension and the freakin' injuries makes me wonder what the hell the training staff is doing. This organization needs to get a handle on its training procedures. Man, it is not good to be the butt of all jokes, and I've been there through the 70's.
  24. I don't care where Cutler goes next year, as long as it's away from Chicago. The rest of this season I can't see Barkley on the field, unless Cutler gets hurt. Barkley is not the answer to anything other than what's another USC, Mater Dai High big name failure. I hope the kid on IR gets a shot at the end of the season to show us what we have.
