I don't care where Cutler goes next year, as long as it's away from Chicago. The rest of this season I can't see Barkley on the field, unless Cutler gets hurt. Barkley is not the answer to anything other than what's another USC, Mater Dai High big name failure. I hope the kid on IR gets a shot at the end of the season to show us what we have.

Disagree with you totally. If you're a player coming to a team that has a desire to win, then you're probably going to buy in. Yesterday, today and tomorrow are a lot like your words, Jason, on "if and buts." Turnover rate has nothing to do with the team's attitude. You said it, "in today's NFL", yeah these players are going to the money, but they also what a real shot at the ring. And that's why I disagree with ya.

Agreed. It was good to get to see the Bears on TV here and have them whoop the division leaders. Loved the D, esp Hicks. Floyd and Howard are great picks by Pace. IMHO, it is all down to talent young talent. For so long this team has drifted along with FAs and waiver wire guys. We all know this is a process that requires solid drafting and building. Pace has a pass for now, but we will never be great without a good draft with a young QB, LT and, esp now, a DB.

My early season thoughts, admitadlly after two (?) martinis, and seeing them twice, is we are a terrible team. This is not your grandfather's Bears. They suck in all aspects of the game. I'd rather not watch them anymore this season than to see them be the bottom feeders they are.

Kyle has been a team player from day one. He is also good at his job. I agree, reward him, he deserves it. I'd also like to think that it would send a message, but I don't think the players today would get it.

I don't think I've read ANYTHING good about Cook. What I have read is that he can't throw, isn't accurate, even short range, and is no leader (Not chosen a captain). So I would not roll the dice on this kid. But we do need to bring up QBs via the draft.
