  1. BPA at 11 is a very real option. 6'5 324........ That's a big boy!!! Any chance the old miss DE drops to us in the 2nd? I can pray!
  2. I agree with Cutler due to age not being a long term answer. I think he prolly has 3 good years left. As far as arguing Cutlers ranking last year please take a look at Cutlers stats compared to Rodgers. Rodgers probably had a better WR group while playing in the same system since his rookie year. Cutler in a new system with the crappiest group of WR in the NFL is very comparable to Rodgers. Rodgers had about 100 more attempts and 10 more TD's.
  3. I dont get these guys, all they have to do is keep their nose clean for 2 more months and they will get drafted............. Dak is talented so I see why you like him. In your next mock just put Hogans name in there for Dak, problem solved! lol
  4. Not a fan of Dak to begin with. Hackenberg in later rounds I get.
  5. Ive read a few articles aBout Freeman and Trevathan. Looks like this will be a very good combo of LB's for the 3-4. With the success Fangio has had with his Defenses and LB's in particular Im really excited about these two signings.
  6. Lets say Pace believes EZ is a game changer, AP type of RB (kind of like Gurley last year with the Rams), Langford is a 4th round draft pick, you dont not draft EZ because of a 4th round pick. I like Langford but I dont see him being a AP type of RB, EZ has been compared to AP. This all could be a moot point, who knows if he will still be there at 11. I agree with you, I think the Bears are real close. I really hope someone very high on the Bears draft board falls to them eliminating a QB or RB pick but could live with it.
  7. I totally understand where you are coming from in regards to RB and QB but its about whats best for the Bears for long term sustained success. If Pace thinks a QB has IT you have to go with him. I think EZ from OSU will be a special RB in the NFL. I would be happy with him as well. The Bears need to add GAME CHANGERS I honestly dont see one position other than G that is off limits. Just to add Im totally good with going OT in the first if there is a stud LT sitting there at 11. You will never go wrong with having a great oline.
  8. I read the first year he payed for the Colts he had about 150 tackles. Not as many the next couple of years. Other then that how good is he????
  9. agreed, there were a few games he made some good plays.
  10. looks like yesterdays meeting rolled into today as well. good sign
  11. Not hurting anything kicking tires to see if you can get a good deal on an upgrade. If not no big deal.
  12. Sorry, but that is incorrect. The whole reason to sign a guy to a long term deal is to lock him in at todays rate for multiple years, knowing that QB prices will continue to go up. Benefit for the player, big guaranteed money. Compare his deal to others and its never really been a bad deal in terms of money. Yeah he was a high cap hit the first year but the Bears could afford it and Cutlers deal never hindered them for going after other guys. If year two of the Trestman shit show Cutlers deal would never have even ever looked bad.
  13. Cutler at 16 mil this year isnt looking to bad. If you cant admit that you are just being stubborn. Emery screwed up, 1 by hiring the wrong coach and two by the guaranteed money. He was smart by front loading the contract. The salary cap has gone up and now Cutlers contract is very Bear friendly, you dont think Cliff Stein forecast-ed the cap later on down the road? As far as the Franchise Tag, I agree with you there. It would have been the smart choice. Either way Emery locked him up, because that is what you do in the NFL when you have a good QB.
  14. With 7 career starts......... Proven zero in the NFL. Does that make everyone rethink the hated Cutler contract? It just shows you how hard it is to find a QB and how much you have to pay to get one.
  15. Lets hope Alshon gets a long term deal to lower his cap hit as well.
  16. Forte kind of called BM out last year, wonder how that will go over! lol Glad it wasn't GB......
  17. Didn't know Jeff Allen was from Chicago and went to Illinois. This could really go I the Bears favor. I know I would love to play for the home town team and be close to family.
  18. And I just saw today that the Packers are said to be interested in Bennett as well. Are the Bears or Bennetts agents leaking this info to get Sea to jump at a deal? Nice timing for the Pack to be jumping in on the interest train......
  19. I like this route better than 15 a year for Jackson. Use the money saved to upgrade multiple positions.
  20. That would suck to see, but good for Forte. Chance to win a SB.
  21. Looks like the Bears may be getting your LB! Being reported that they are close to agreeing to a 4 year deal.
  22. Just tweeted Bears are close to a 4 year deal!!!!!
  23. I didn't pay a lot of attention to his time in Sea but I remember he was pissed about not getting the ball.
  24. Was tweeted by someone yesterday and they were talking about it on the Score today, not sure how real it is.
  25. wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this possible trade. On one hand I think about when Graham was with Saints and how dominate he was. Think about an offense with him, Alshon and White. That trio could be insane. How do you stop those three(if white is as good as expected). On the other hand, what is Graham going to look like post injury? Would you get the Sea Graham or the Saints Graham? for debating purpose lets say Graham is going come back and play like the Saints Graham. Would you make that trade?
