I hope they can work something out with Marty(extension that is good for both parties). Cutting Marty opens up another NEED, the Bears have enough NEEDS already. IF the Bears were in a better position in overall talent on the roster I think this is something they would look at. Who knows tho, if the Bears are thinking they are another year or two away from contending it makes sense to cut ties with him now. If that is case this is going to look like a Cubs rebuild and not a quick turnaround. With how close the Bears were in almost every game last year I cant see them thinking they cant win next year with the right roster moves and solid draft again.

With the newest cap space total being released and Bushrod being cut how much space will the Bears have now?

Emery had no clue how to run a Franchise. I wouldn't put Pace in the same boat as him yet. Under Emery and Trestman Ratliff acted like an asshole and was made a captain for that weeks game. Under Pace and Fox he gets smoked the same day. How much was it Fox or Pace we will never know. As long as the everyone above Pace has zero say Im happy. If its a team effort of Fox and Pace Im all good. If Pace does have total control and Fox has to deal with the moves Pace makes I still ok with it just as long as Ted Phillips and George keep quiet.

I love Elliott , cant wait to see his combine numbers. He ran all over Bama and he left some of those guys in the dust. With the amount of holes in this roster I would rather sign Forte and fill other holes this year. But hey you may right Pace may see Elliott as the next IT RB.

I cant wait to see what Forte signs for. I would easily bet that Forte still has two good years left. If he signs for 4 to 5 mil a year and performs well for 2 years this could look bad for Pace. Maybe Forte's agent already knows what he will get on the open market and the Bears are not willing to go that high??? At Least Pace took the time meet with Forte, Forte got more respect from Pace than Urlacher got from Emery.

Im leaning your way on this one. What is better for the team moving fwd : Langford and youth movement getting more snaps vs Forte and everything he brings to the team I hope Forte goes to NE or Sea......... Go for a SB Forte!!!!!!!

Jay has never been the big showboat Cam is. Jay didnt deal with the media scrutiny very well. Im sure Cam will get better at it as Jay has. Cam should have more chances due to being on a solid team and younger. You put Cam on the Bears and he would get to the same amount of SB's as Jay. Only way Jay gets to a SB is if Pace and Fox load this team up with talent on the defensive side and fix the Oline. We can debate for the next 100 years about Cutler, the fact remains the same with Jay or with some other QB the Bears need to fix their D and oline to ever sniff the SB.

Agreed Fox had an insane offense that got pimp smacked by the Sea D. Elway turns around and signs Ward, Talib and Ware and gets Miller and Wolfe back from injury(they didnt play in the last SB). Denver saw how Seattle won the SB and went all in on Defense. The offense is no where near as good as two years ago, Manning lost a step and they lost some talent on offense. I wonder how much input Fox had on building that roster. Lets hope Pace and Fox can build this roster up!

That would be very Detroit Lions, even tho I believe they went 3 years in a row, finally getting it right with Megatron. 1st year = kid from MSU who i thought was going to be great 2nd year = Mike Williams from USC 3rd year = Megatron Talk about spending some draft pics to get a WR! lol Loved watching the Lions draft during that time frame. Vikes have also been fun to watch, one of my favorite picks they took was Christian Ponder! I thought he would suck from the jump. `My pick that I would hate would probably be QB as well. I think with an overall talent upgrade to the roster you can make a run with Cutler.

He dropped in the draft due to being overweight and work ethic concerns. His talent has always been thought to be 1st round. Many projected him in the first round.

I have not read the Mel Kiper write up, so Im wondering if the grade takes into account White not playing at all or his projected play. If White is a game changer I don't know how the grad is not an A or A+!

I cant agree with you on Erin (that one made me laugh) or Clay. I enjoy watching both play. I will say Brett had a lot more qualities to like, he was like a little kid out there LOVING the game. I will AGREE 100% on their dickhead of the a coach, I think he is a total douchebag. And I too cant wait for Rodgers playing days to be over so they can go back to being a shitty franchise once again.

With it being the entire offenses first year in this system, oline performance and total lack of talent at WR due to injuries i think Cutlers stars are remarkable. Cutler is easily a Top 15 QB.

I like it for a couple of reasons. 1. He was highly involved in what they did last year, clearly was able to take notes from Gase who is known for his in game play calling. He knows what worked and didn't work 2. System stays the same and the terminology stays the same, offense doesn't have to learn an entire new playbook 2. Already has OC experience, was not a fan of Tice being hired to be a OC with no experience 3. Has a good relationship with Cutler, Cutler has wanted to work to work with him for a long time

I totally get what you are saying. I just dont think they go QB in first. Its just too early. I will say you never know, Pace may fall in love with a certain QB. I bet if there is a QB with the same qualities that Drew Brees (just a little taller, lol) has Pace will fall in love with him. You draft a QB early Im calling it right now, there will be a huge QB controversy in Chicago.

Once we see what Pace does in FA I would then be able to say what I think about this. Right now I think for the team to win now they cant go QB with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Hell with what Pace did in the 4th and 5th last year I would say those rounds too. Will Pace find the same caliber of players in round 4 and 5 like Langford and Amos.....I dont see it happening every year but one can hope! As far as drafting a qb in the earlier rounds if Pace and Company feel a QB has the IT factor and they want to start preparing for the future then I get why they would do it. I love the idea of drafting a guy to groom, I just think with the talent on this roster they wont be doing it until next years draft, this one is too soon. Cutler will be 33 or 34 come next year, I think its a perfect time to get a guy and let him learn the system for two years. Cutler contract is team friendly from here on out so there is no rush. Build a young talent rich roster the next two years and by the time the new QB is ready to go the team will be in the best shape possible to win.

If White turns out to be a game changer the Bears will be in a better situation moving fwd. With BM on the Bears team it would have been hard to resign Alshon and address all the other area of need. Alshon will in essence take the Cap space BM was allocated if he resigns.Now they have a younger WR at a huge discount in White. White just needs to perform on the field! Everything I have read says the Bears are really impressed by White so far.

Personal Experience with Bengal fans = last time the Bears played there when Benson was a Bengal. They were the biggest pieces of trash I have ever been around. We left by the 3rd quarter because it was about to get crazy. I will never go to a Bengals game in Cincy ever again. I have zero respect for them as a whole and am glad to see them go down like that. Im sure there are good Bengal fan but in the south endzone 85% of them were complete assholes.
