  1. I just talked to a plumber I use to work with and he was in Poles office bathroom repairing the toilet today and over heard Ryan on the phone saying ( that's a bunch crap) That's all I got but that is true inside information.
  2. I've given you credit on many posts but you're to busy trying to find something I said you didn't like to notice.
  3. Okay, who is the first starter type signing we do? I say Curtis Samuel. Good buddies with DJ, won't be looking for big money and everyone is new in Washington.
  4. So if I understand this right, if a player was cut, he can be signed now, if an UFA you have to wait until Weds but free cheating on Monday?
  5. IF Poles doesn't take him, he will have a reason for it. Before the Combine, you weren't settled on Williams, after the Combine now it's Caleb or bust. He didn't throw at the Combine, no medicals, A 20 minute meeting decides nothing. He smiled at a press conference and was confident. Nothing changed from before the Combine.
  6. There's no inside information to Poles. Everything he's done has been unexpected. People just speculating and pretending it's sources. Last year we were taking Carter, it didn't happen. His first year, his first two picks were DBs. No one predicted that. He brought in two LBers. No one predicted that. ECT.
  7. If you look at the contracts KC had last year while paying big money to Mahomes, they had 8 over 10 million. 5 over 15 mil, 3 over 20. The cap is projected to go up 50 mil next year. I don't think any contracts we have on the roster right now prohibites them on doing anything 3 years from now.
  8. I think the JJ signing is the only big money deal we do. I think a few around 10 mil deals could still be out there. Most will be 4-8 mil deals. Billings, Walker, type deals. I posted an article that addressed what monies might be paid. Curtis Samuel is best friends with DJ and is projected at around 5 mil a year range. Something like that could happen right away because he may want to be here.
  9. This is a good article about free agency. https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/39676161/2024-nfl-offseason-free-agency-best-players-available-contract-rankings-bill-barnwell
  10. I think because you don't want Justin here, you look at things from that point of view. There's been no info put out there leaning one way or another coming from Poles. Like Swifty said, no one has guessed right what Poles will do. The most likely thing to happen is, we draft Caleb, I even agree with that although it may not be my first choice. After that it's up in the air. Their is no other rookies that appear to be the real deal, different opinions out there on that.
  11. This is the season of misinformation. No one tells the truth right now. The reporters are the ones projecting Fields gone. Nothing has come from Poles. Warren did say he wants Justin back, but he's not making the decision. Adam hit it right on the mark, until he's gone he is the second most likely odds he's staying after drafting Williams.
  12. We should know with in a week where Poles is headed. Their might be some people surprised.
  13. Most so called experts don't have a good track record at being right. Simms appears to be more accurate
  14. The case for Julian Blackmon (26) Played for Flus in Indy Played with JJ in Utah Only missed 3 games to injuries while in the NFL Valued at 7.2 mil by OTC 2023- 88 Ts- 9 PD- 4 int-2 FF-4.3% missed T rate. 4.52 40 time same as EJAC He's not costing big money. 4-30 mil? The top FSs will! command big contracts.
  15. Also Poles tried to get Brian Allen when he went back to LA he was injured but was top 5 rated at the time. I can see Poles giving him a 5 mil one year deal to prove himself. Bates is the backup plan.
  16. JPJ will be awesome but don't think we have a chance at him. Zack Frasier is a 4 time state wrestling champion. Power and unbelievable skills. I hope we can get him.
  17. I don't think teams will go after Fields until their draft plans and free agency are done. Someone is not ending up with a QB, that's when the market develops. Unfortunately its fantasy football to think we would get a one for him, two is probably fair depending on how many teams still need a QB.
  18. Slow process to build a team thru the draft, Poles said 4 years. He's going to get more draft picks.Add some cheap free agents (Blingings and Edwards) and will have a winning team.
  19. To be fair to him there were quality players he tried to sign.but failed getting. For the most part we seen his backup plan. This year he gives more quality depth to go with starters.
  20. I've beenwatching hours of tape on him and he could be literally generational talent. My only concern is wanting to be treated special and how that translates to the NFL. As a rookie, he more than likely needs time to get up to speed. DCs will design defenses to counter him, great players everywhere and the fan base will be brutal if he takes a few years to develop. Does he have the stomach to handle that?
  21. No matter what happens at the QB spot. Caleb, Derek, Jaylon , JJ or Justin great things are happening with the Bears. Jump in with your opinions we welcome new voices here.
  22. That's going to happen very soon and we can all relax and enjoy the wins coming this year.
  23. He's been playing with it for two years. To his defense, he offered Joe Noteboom and Brian Allen a contract in his first year and tried to get Bates, failed on all accounts. Drafted Braxton Jones. His backup plans didn't work out.
  24. Adjusted cap space is 38 mil after the rookie pool and in year money.
