No that lineup is all my doing. I just like your team better.

The 49ers have 3 new starters on the OL and 4 new starters in the DB. They have a rookie at NB. If the center of our DL can get some pressure, their offensive will sputter. We will attack Bosa, not rated that good against the run and their NB. I see a lot of roll outs from Fields that will slow down the pass rush. We will have some misses by the OL but penalites and TOs will be cut back for our O to run more smoothly. I think Kmet has a big day and lots of targets to the RBs. If you watch last yrs game, Fields feet killed their defense. E. Mitchel and Deebo both are nursing injuries and at least will be slowed in the opener. With a new QB starting , their O will not be running smooth. Jimmy G coming in late will affect the culture in the locker room. A lot of existing players side with Jimmy so transitioning to Lance will be slow. Justin Jones will have a big game,( 4th round rookie starting in front of him) Brisker will keep Kittle in check. Lance will commit a couple of TOs. Mooney, Kmet and Fields will all have TDs , Fields rushes for 86 yds. 24-16 we win.

, this is off of twitter, let me know if it doesnt work.

I'll trade teams with you, I hate to see you have such a bad advantage of Taylor, Jackson, Pittman.,Lazard.

I joke but that happens all the time. What is really sad, many times its the pick right before me.

Another yr of following the leaders in this league. You probably dont believe this but I am in 3 other leagues and I always make the playoffs. I will give many people credit in this league, a lot of smart people here. I have a plan and you guys destory every round for me. It is hard for me to be successful in this league. Im going to have to buy a 5 gallon bucket of KY jelly to get thru the yr.

I totally agree that is their plan. It helps the Oline gain confidence, takes pressure off of Fields, takes time off the clock. They will do a lot of 2 TE sets because of the injury issue with the WRs. They will mix in draws, screens, jet sweeps and then use play action to go downfield. It will be a slow start but once it becomes successful, then we will have an effective offense. Injuries this week will be huge on how we approach our first game.

This is the biggest score we got out of our new players. He can contribute right now. 46 tks, 3 TFL and 5 sacks. They expected him to breakout this year, now , maybe here. Leatherwood has the biggest upside but that's 1 to 2 yrs away from playing up to that hype. I figure at best he takes over for Whitehair in one or two years. With Kramer in the picture for the next couple of years, all oline could be growing together for the next 5 years.

There will be injuries along the way that will allow PS players a chance to play. Poles has made some interesting moves. Definitely he's got game.

Here is Leatherwoods draft profile https://www.nfl.com/prospects/alex-leatherwood/32004c45-4173-2379-61f9-b62d58f5c85e

He can be a rotation guy who had 5 sacks last year. Minny changed to the 3-4. He had 43 tks and 3 TGL Also we picked up Leatherwood cut by the Raiders. He will earn 1.3 mil this yr. 400 thou more than a vet minu salary. Poles dont need first round draft picks, he has added two this yr already.

I think they can scheme to help the OTs on the outside with help from the TEs and the RBs. The insdie will have to handle their jobs and it will turn into successful plays.

Its amazing how negative the national press still is on the Bears . Of course there are lots of questions but we have to trust the process until it proves wrong. The best way to shut them up is to have a successful first game against SF. It doesnt even have to be a win but at least have a offensive presence.
-
Tonges can play TE so they need one more. Of course they have to do the injury desigation with Young and Harry so there is 2 they can bring back. Many will be going to the PS (16). Who backs up Justin Jones at 3 T ? must be Blackson . Pennel and Tonga are strickly NTs. If they add anyone it will be at TE and DL. This is a young group but IMO it will prove to be better than most national writers have predicted. Flus likes to rotate his DL so definitly need to watch the waiver wire for DTs.

Also Schofield got cut, you wait and see in will end up in TB. They are really hurting for OL.

Here's a good study on Jenkins and Jones.

There are a ton of Bear centric writers, they are always pushing stories just from someone's opinion and not necessarily facts. An example is Quinn wanting to be traded because he didn't show up for a required practice. Right before the draft someone interviewed him and he said he hopes he don't get traded. No one ever heard him say he didn't want to be here. When training camp started, all he did was say he wanted to be here. How could that be , with all the stories that writers posted . They made it up on projection. Every time someone might be cut, they keep saying we need to trade for that person, just junk stories.

I started paying attention to the Swift videos. He has a positive attitude towards the Bears and puts in a lot of work to make his points.

The OL will definitely effect the play of Lance and Deebo seems to be the type of player that would slack once he gets paid, mainly because of immaturity. Last year the 49ers started out 2-4 and didn't play well against us in week 7. I can see them having a slow start again this year. Upset potential, being on the road and the low expectations for the Bears.
-
Totally agree with your selections. The extra 2 will depend on their ST ability. I think one will be a TE because of a lot of 2 TE sets and probably Hicks or Stomam for STs spot. I think Evans ends up with an injury designation , worth keeping. There is no way this group is bottom5 in the league. I would say bottom 10 may be a reach.

Pettis has speed and probably has the most upside at WR. Mooney and Kmet are going to be target gobblers, we just just need a couple of other playmakers to show some consistency. The running game is in good hands with Monty, Herbert and Ebner. When you establish the run it builds up confidence for the Oline, just move and go. The scheming will help with the pass blocking. You throw in draws and screens , we will be able to keep defenders off balance. Then throw in Fields legs and this team will be hard to defend. It seemed like Justin Jones was all over the field last night. He has a high motor and is going to surprise people ( like me) that thought the 3T spot was a weakness. Covey keeps showing up on tape. The defense seems to have an attitude. The 7 to the ball with our speed is going to be successful. Matt Adams and Morrow can run. Roquan is just going to be that much better. Barring injuries, the DBs will be our biggest threat going forward. They can play.. My optimism was always high because of the upside of Fields, and now it is starting to transfer to the field. I hope we win 9 or 10 games just to see the backpedaling by national writers on their doomsday predictions.

Mustifer will be OK for a game or two but its important for Patrick to get up to speed. Jenkins will end up being the best regarded OL on the team. This year you will see a Kyle Long type of breakout.
-
A #1 is more defined by targets and production. The top targeted WRs are usually the best statistical WR. So if Mooney gets the same targets but is more efficient, he's doing 100 and and over 1200, that's top 12. Kent and Monty will be successful this yr. That's 3 solid weapons. You add in V. Jones, Pringle, St Brown, Sharpe, Herbert and Ebner. We will have plenty of support for a good offense. The key will be a better Fields and better coaching. I think that has the potential for us to have a breakout season.
-
He is someone that could be forced into a few TOs. Two keys to the first game will be on well we stop the run and if TOs come in to play. We played them well last year with bad coaches and erratic play so this is a game could be our bell cow for the season if we can upset them. Tonight's game will go along way in seeing how ready our offense is to compete.

Has anyone heard any news of the progress of Patrick and his injury? I try to google it and found nothing.
