I think it comes down to if he can play with the injury or not. If Fields thinks he can play, he's going to want to play. As they make it more clear on the injury, they will make a decision. Actually I would like to see Siemian play in a more passing focused game. We will be able to judge the talent in the OL and WR room . It may not be a good outcome, but maybe Claypool gets 5 or 6 catches. More throws to the RB, see a little more open game.

I agree with all those statements. He is considered an elite player by NFL community, but It doesn't show up every week. People are talking about the great Jets D, we don't seem to allow the great players to go off on us, mainly that's because of Justin. So who you picking between the two?
-
If we remain at 3 and the first 2 picks are QBs, who do you choose between Anderson or Carter? If Anderson turns out to be Parsons like or Carter turns out to be Johnathan Allen? Considering the 3T is so important in this D, Jalen Carter, Although Parsons is the most dynamic player in the league.

I think the problem with any WR, TE, RB in the passing game is we just dont throw enough. Fields looks for Mooney first, then look at his throwing sequence a couple for everybody. Our OL just isnt good enough to sustain a consistent passing game. We scored 24 points, 5 game average 26 points a game. I think that is pretty good. Other than 2 games we have been in every game. Between mistakes and bad ref calls, we could have a winning record right now. That puts us on the rise as a rebuilding team.

I think it will be treated like any other injuries. They seem to always be cautious. I think they have enough input to know what they need to do, build better around him.
-
The second one is about where we will be trading back to (6) as it stands now. At 6 we could still get one of the top 3 blue chip players. I suspect Anderson and Carter would be first taken after QBs so we would be stuck with Michael Murphy or if he moves up in the ranking, Tyree Wilson . I like him better as a prospect. That would be excellent if the draft haul was the same.

We can't worry about the traded pick. We need to get Claypool involved in the offense to make that trade worth while. The fact we are in games until the end and is decided by a penalty or a bad mistake, tells us we are doing something right. How many OLs do we need next year ? IMO, they stick with the development of Jones and Jenkins is set. If Whitehair doesn't play better , I can see them replacing him next year. So I think they bring in a OC and OT in FA. I think after the break they give Leatherwood playing time to see if he can play. I don't think Poles abandons all his moves this year and start over with new development players. Carter may get first chance to replace Whitehair but not sure he will go through another year to develop the OL. Tough decision.

We can't move out of a draft spot to get us a blue chip player. Right behind us is Seattle and Detroit. If we trade with them, what can we expect to get ? Behind them the teams don't need a QB. So that are our only options. Dropping out of top 10 to get extra picks is a bad idea. Both Seattle and Detroit have 2 first round picks. Is that expected in a trade to move a few spots? More like a 2 nd and a 4th and a 3rd next year? What say you?

I think Fields won't be playing against the Jets. He has some injury issues, why would they risk more injury? We will see how Siemien does win the same parts. I think we seen what Ebner can do ( nothing) , so give Evans some time. Herbert was definitely missed.

Picking at 3 for now. There isnt any WRs rated in the top 10 right now but maybe some rise by the draft. If we add an impact player like a Parsons,( Jaylen Carter-Anderson - Murphy). we have to take him.
-
Observations: Ebner cant create holes, I seen him 4 times run up the ass of a blocker. no vision Play calling was bad in the the second half knowing at halftime that Justin had a strain hamstring. Then hurt his shoulder and still calling him running. Gretsy not getting a HC next yr. OL was bad. Whitehair has not played well since he came back. Schofield had a terrible game. Jenkins needs to be back. Hard to get rhythm with the WRs when you only pass 21 times a game. We need to get at least 30 reps there. Kmet had a highlight reel catch today I would much rather be winning these games but the losing doesnt hurt as bad when I know we are going to get a top 5 pick.

You stated many good things but keep in mind his original plan. He did go after an oline. He made a higher financial offer to both Brian Allen and Joe Noteboom than the Rams. They choose to stay in LA that just won the SB. Also the Bates move but none of them worked out. Patrick was a second choice. Had he stabilized the OL early, the WRs he choose would have looked better. He stated building through the draft and not bring in expensive FR agents. He didn't have the money to make a splash in FA nor a first round pick. It limited what he did. The good teams take BPA and that's what he did. His draft won't define itself for 1 or 2 more years, but everyone of his draft picks are on the roster except for Thomas/OG that just joined the Rams, that's a good sign. After the draft he added Wesco, Harry, Watts, Sanborn, Jaylor Jones , Claypool, Leatherwood, Joel Blackwell, Lamar Jackson, Sterling Weatherford, Killen Die sch and Taco Charlton. Not all of these moves have played out yet but that's an A+ for effort for remaking the roster.

The one thing we were always missing was a great QB, IMO we now have one. The trick is to build around him. Poles is transferring our emphasis on O instead of D. The key will be to have both. In 1/2 year of work, I think he knows what to do. Poles first 2 draft picks were D. This coming yr will define our future.
-
To be honest, they have been a successful franchise and have won a lot. Being a Bears fan, I would have liked that to. Have two great QBs. All of that has created for me that I like to see them become losers.
-
That is one of the best stadiums in the NFL but I love when they lose. More because of their fans than the team. Lot of my friends are Packer fans. Love to laugh at them.

LBers: Sanborn, Weatherford, are the only two LBers that have contracts for next yr. Sanborn appears to have earned a job. Weatherford will get a chance to earn some time, maybe not this year. Morrow is not signed for next yr but I think he has earned a contract as he has played well. Matt Adams has had some injury issues but has played well when on the field. He may be brought next year for depth. Joe Thomas is just a veteran depth piece and dont think he will be back next year. In 2023 I think they bring in one Vet and draft one and will go from there. Bobby Okereke/LB from the Colts that learned under Flus and is one of the top tacklers in the league. He may be brought in, but that probably means Morrow would not be back. If Sanborn is the real deal, then Poles will put a good body next to him and add for depth. SLB doesnt play that many snaps to have to get a big time backers to play there.
-
Clearly Poles is going young but a few bigger contracts, older players still remain. I have no doubt they will all be replaced but not until there is a clear answer to replace them. We have no problem with cap money, that is usually the reason teams drop players before their time because they need the money.
-
It's always nice when a UDFA plays well. He is the type that will play himself into a job. We need some cheap contracts to mix with the high salary players. That's the only way to make a roster work. Had a good as game as the 20 mil wanna be Roquan had all year.
-
Most of what you say it true, but as of right now, there is no replacement on the team. If he drafts a FS high, then they will find away to get rid of him. Quinn was non productive, Roquan wasnt going to give in to Poles offer, so that made them available. I absolutely think since Fields is ready to fly that they will try to win next year. Do you think Whitehair is in jeopardy? It costs 8.3 to cut him next yr. They are keeping J. Carter on the roster as a rookie, with little playing time. If at the beginning of next yr, Carter starts to shine, they may change but, I dont think having all young players on the line will solidify the line going forward. Jenkins, Jones, Borom , Leatherwood are all young and you need some vets to stabilize the line. Cody will be 31 but if he plays well this yr, he stays here. A 31 yr old with a 8.3 cap hit may be hard to trade or cut. What he brings in during the offseason will dictate some of it.
-
I think he is here next yr and then 2024 is a crap shoot. I think they think that next yr will be a playoff run, so creating more holes doesnt seem logical. NOW if they draft one in the first 4 rounds and plan on him taking his place, maybe next yr at the trade deadline for a 7th round pick. We simply arent hurting for cap space.

I have been betting on Fields over 1.5 TDs and 1 running TD and it has paid off two weeks in a row. Im going with 2 anytime TDs this time, it pays with great odds. I will say 118 rushing and 268 passing yds. If this is going to be our breakout O game, he will get 3 TDs in the air and we will go over 40 points. That would be nice.
