Free agent Bernard Berrian is reportedly en route to Oakland. The Vikings couldn't get him signed immediately, not that they're entirely out of the running. Berrian is the deep threat big-armed JaMarcus Russell needs and Al Davis has tons of cap room, even after the Tommy Kelly signing.

Are we going to do anything to beef up the DE position? The draft didn't play out as expected with a run on edge players before our pick at 53. Poles was pretty clear weeks ago that he was seriously looking to add talent to that position. Since then a few players have come off the FA market, notably Leonard Floyd (BUF) and Frank Clark (DEN). There are still some big names available but do they really fit? Ngakoue is the most obvious pass rusher but Eberflus has already worked with him and if he was a priority signing for this staff IMO he'd already be here. Get a genuine stud at left guard, move Chris Williams back to left tackle, and let Omiyale and Webb compete for right tackle. Three birds with one stone. 2. Is there any way around the word code thing when ordering tickets on ticketmaster? Since they've added this feature I've lost out on many events due to getting some of the most illegible crap. Meanwhile knowing that every second I waste trying convince the system I'm real is a second that is lost while others are snagging tickets. If I try by phone won't I be put on hold indefinitely? How exactly does Ticketmaster determine best available does it start at the highest dollar tickets and from there closest to the 50 yard line? Haven't been to a Bears game since 2001. The regular season is upon us with games starting on Wednesday. So we get a few games before the Bears play. Hoping for good news later in the week on the injury front. The Bears need to handle business this weekend. CAR has no business being in this game. Last year they failed to score 20 pts in 10 out of 17 games. 6 out of 8 wins were by 3 pts, and 6 of 9 losses were by 10 or more. They were either getting beat bad or barely winning. That is a recipe for disaster. If the Division wasn't so bad, they would've been a 5-6 win team. Even with injuries, I think the Bears win handily 27-16.

So this is Year 2 for them. They seemed to get a pass for last year, but the record is the record, and Flus is the losing coach in franchise history right now (3-14). Assuming the Bears don't go 14-3, he is going to need a few winning seasons just to get to .500 as a coach.
