Will somebody trade up to the Bears for a QB? This is exactly what Phil Emery was hoping for.

I'm in agreement with Pioli here, the Bears made a fair offer, Urlacher and his people tried to embarrass the team into doing more and in the end, he's got to be regretting the way he tarnished his reputation by going out this way. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...cher-situation/

A lot of Walterfootball drafts have been posted here so I reckon Ill throw up their last one. 1R- Sheldon Richardson DT Mizzu- If the Bears do go BPA Richardson looks like that guy based on the WF mock. We all know I'm high on the Bears getting a DT but I've wanted to wait a bit longer to take one. If Richardson is there at 20 though he'd be tough to pass up. 2R- Arthur Brown LB K State- Once again I'd like to wait till the 4th to get a LB like Zaviar Gooden (if possible) but with Brown getting some first round grades I guess he'd be tough to pass at #50. 4R- BW Webb CB William and Mary- The level of competition here kinda scares me with Webb but he still …

Watched the 30 for 30 episode last night about the 1983 draft. It was very interesting. The Bears ended up with a monster draft that year: Jimbo Covert Willie Gault Mike Richardson Dave Duerson Tom Thayer Richard Dent Mark Bortz That's unbelievable. (Four OLinemen drafted that year, BTW). Little did I know, however, they were briefly in talks with the Raiders for Howie Long and some other guy. There is a good chance the Bears wouldn't have been able to select Jimbo Covert if the trade were made, and that could have potentially altered the course of the entire draft, but could you imagine if the Bears had simply made the trade (IDK the e…

Of the three LBs he lists below (A.J. Klein, Sio Moore, Khaseem Greene) A.J. Klein seems like he should be getting far more press than he's had in the run up to the draft. I'm not saying that just because he's a Cyclone. He has the speed and hands to be effective in coverage (4.66) and the 4 INTs returned for TDs to back it up. Plus I like the way he arrives at the ball carrier. From a quick look he's ranked anywhere from a 3rd Rd pick to 5th Rd but typically isn't on anyone's top 100. If he's there in the 4th and we haven't taken a LB I think he should be on our radar. Klein highlights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cF0NPhAJOM Klein East West Shr…

The Bears HAVE to trade down, here's to hoping San Fran wants Vaccaro S or Allen WR. Bears get 1-31,3-74, and 4-128. 1-31 Alec Ogletree LB - Has the skills to cover a lot of field in the middle like #54. Needs some fine tuning but was always a top LB. 2-50 Arthur Brown LB - Why not rejuvinate the history of LB, Eventually takes Briggs spot. I'd trade back up w/ a 4th if have to. 3-74 Ryan Swope WR - Dangerous slot WR is what the Bears need between the beasts, he has speed to stretch also 4-117 Brian Schwenke C Cal - Quick, athletic and fits a zone blocking scheme. 4-131 David Bakhtiari G/T Col - undersized for T, but can play G and …

There are rumors that teams this year want to move down in the draft teams specifically mentioned are the Eagles (fourth), Lions (fifth), Browns (sixth), Bills (eighth) and Dolphins (12th) ,Cowboys(eighteen)as having made calls trying to trade down. Also the Jets and Vikings have two picks in first round...and maybe the Falcons and 49ers wanting to move up. So what kind of trades up or down do you see coming?

Now that we are close, and some more tidbits about player positioning are floating around, I'm posting my final dream mock draft. 1. DJ Fluker, RT, Bama - Immediate starter. Puts Webb on the bench where he belongs. 2. Alec Ogletree, MLB, UGA - His draft stock slipped recently, but his athleticism didn't. 4. Travis Frederick, C, Wisc. - Trains for one year, starts for a decade afterwards. **Alternate - Ryan Swope, WR, TX A&M - If he falls this far it's probably too much to pass up. 5. Ryan Griffin, QB, Tulane - I'll let this article speak for me. 6. Stansly Maponga, DE, TCU - He's got the kind of skills you look for in a late round pick. He'll…

I seen an article that we brought him in town at the last minute. He is Vinston Painter a OT out of VT. We like him at OG. He is very athletic, and with the new scheme on the OL the athletic guard fits it better. James Brown, Garza, not so much Slauson and Carmi. He is said to be around a 4th rounder and not many teams worked him out. He needs to learn more, good upside, and not well known.

Predictions for upcoming draft. We will trade down and grab an extra third and 6th.(several trade partners, no need to go into detail.) 2 of our first 3 picks will be defense. We will grab a OLine prospect but not at top of draft. We will draft a WR. I also think we grab a QB prospect in 5 or 6. I have thrown out there the names I like Ogletree, Brown, Minter, Greene, Hodges: Stills, Swope,Boyd,Ausin: Fredirch,Swenke,Jones, Warford,Winters: Banks,Amerson,Ryan,Alford,Hawthorne.

1. Jamar Taylor, CB, Baylor 2. Alec Ogletree, LB, UGA 4. Brian Schwenke, OG, Cal. 5. Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose St. 6. Kenjon Barner, RB, Oregon I'm not sure how I feel about this draft. Don't like the start of it, but Ogletree in the 2nd would be a steal. Virtually everyone here like Schwenke in the 4th, but then Otten ruins the momentum in the 5th. Finishing with Barner would be very nice, since the Bears could use a breakaway threat at RB (6th round pick on a guy who could end up being the best RB in the draft).
